Hello there CE was used to "hax" in the mod, so folk should be wary of it. As a bad analogy If I keep a knife by my bed but have no intention of using it for home defence, i still can cut myself on it. I may have to rethink that, but hopefully you get what I mean. Its fairly well known that CE can cause issues. Heck if folk are paranoid about using third party comms in some games then surly folk with CE must have an inkling? Rdgs LoK

Hello there Its a known fact that the RV engine has no bugs only "features" You just discovered one. Now the way forward in this and all other "rants" is if you have encountered a bug then report it in the bug tracker here. The devs are gonna use the RV engine. That's it. Sorted. Done Deal. And if this the kind of nonsense that OP spews over the phone or does not/will not address in further posts and expects folk just to "get it" by osmosis or some empathic feeling, for me the argument is moot. OP expresses surprise that folk acted negatively to these comments? How can you be surprised and shocked? If I went to any site and made such baseless spurious claims I would, at the very least ,be expected to be vigorously argued with. At the very least. Then to throw a hissy fit (i refer you to your GOD quote) really does not help your case. You have had some support here also. So, to suddenly retire from the thread because folk "attack your knowledge" again speaks volumes. You are entitled to your opinions and even suspicions. hello there I actually love to be proved wrong and to learn from different points of view (although it can be difficult egowise to do) none of us are infallible. I can completely understand folk using TS. I too agree "cheating" is too harsh a term and although it can be used for that purpose on the whole (hopefully) its not. What needs to be done (and may well be) is having a system in game that's so much fun that people prefer to use it over vanilla TS. VOIP as many have said, is here to stay and its a brill tool, just in some situations I think it can remove some of a games challenge and fun experiences. In Arma, I've been one side of a wall, separated and alone from my squad, and on the other side of the wall I have heard the whispers and commands of an enemy squad. That, for me, was a seminal gaming experience, which just would not have happened if we were using TS. I was terrified. *it was a one life per round server which meant that id have an hour or so before I could rejoin* .Ever since that epiphany I just cant go to TS. Rgds LoK

Hello there I too only play with mates around the the world, I can only dream of being in a game studio. I also play by certain rules when gaming. Ie if in RO2 Im shot dead, I remain silent until I respawn. I could be of a huge help to my teammates by yelling out who killed me and where but I/we feel if ones toon/avatar cannot function nor should the player. I just dont TS with mates when I DAYZ. Should you? Well, that's your descision. If I want to chat, then ill chat, if I want to play then I play. Perhaps I am too extreme in my playstyle for most. Then again Im not forcing folk too, but I do have an opinion like everyone else. I still think half the beauty of DAYZ is the aloneness and for me, TS would spoil that for me. Rgds LoK

Hello there I want to play the game as intended. I see nothing wrong with that. If the devs are going to lengths to create an in game comms system with radios and batteries etc etc it seems odd to bypass them. Am I forcing you to play "my" way? No. You do what you will. I just think folk who use external apps like the dayz loot maps etc are spoiling their own fun. Its fine to disagree and you dont have to be fond of me or my personal opinions. Rgds LoK

Hello there I agree. Again, I think using any form of external reference makes the game easier and TBH the only person one is truly cheating is oneself. Ie, as was mentioned earlier, words to the effect of "I use TS to find my mates", well, for me, this is losing you half the fun of being lost and finding your way to each other which is an adventure in itself. I live in a dream world where id like folk not to use external web maps. apps and ts etc rather experience the game as it is intended. Cheating is too harsh a term. Spoiling? perhaps. Rgds LoK
