Hello there "My shitty PC" is neither here nor there. What is needed is balance to find a mid range to suit many folk, not just the social elite. A firm balance that enables the majority of gamers to have a good gaming experience is key and not everyone has great rigs. I do agree that if one turns off grass and shadows, which lets say for arguments sake, gives one opponent an advantage over the other then that system is flawed and needs to be addressed. In RO2 for example a solution tothis is that some servers set a minumum detail level and if your game does not equal or higher that then one is kicked. Its not ideal, but IMHO far better than your "go buy a better PC" attitude. Im all for a level playing field but not at the expense of mid range rigs. Rgds LoK

Hello there Why not remove those lovely volumetric clouds altogether and use a hi res texture map to represent different states? Games like oblivion handle the transition well aso inspiration could be taken from there is the RV engine is capable. i LOVE the new clouds, but in A3 they appear to drain FPS and as we are ground based, why do we need 3d clouds? Hello there Ive played the RV engine in many games and sims, from OFP and VBS to DAYZ and Arma3. Whilst controlling ones avatar has improved and the way your avatar is actually there that lifts the the RV engine above other games I still think avatar control sucks big bottoms. If you have a decent machine and get good FPS then that removes many of the perceived issues, but IMHO movement/control is not great for the end user. I can cope with it. But id rather that I felt more in control. Rgds LoK

Hello there Dont forget that you can "report" the truly dreadful threads. We listen to all opinion, even though we may not instantly act on it. One "good" thing about threads that do commonly turn up is the fact there is an issue, be it on the devs side or the end user side. Its very hard to balance "freedom" and Uber New Order in the forums, so we are constantly re evaluating and discussing problems almost every day. We know the forums are not a perfect posting Nirvana but we are doing our best within the confines we are given. Whenever there is an influx of new folk to a forum, it does upset the status quo but guide the new folk and soon they'll hopefully be great members too. Now, how many bands did I sneak into my post? Hello there Im off to snooze, so this is my last word for the evening. As the servers stand, for many there is no "benefit" to renting a server. AmeriCam wisely points out why some folk might feel they'd like to and I can easily understand their reasoning. Its not as if these facts are unknown or hidden or part of the lizard conspiracy. Again, as Max and AmeriCam (and others) have pointed out that "value" is different from person to person. If they have disposable income then why not? If "injustices" are your thing, there are other worthier causes to promote. Rgds LoK
