Hello there We tolerate swearing, some mods more than others. But it has to be in context and depending on how its used it can earn you a point or time off. But if you feel you have been unfairly moderated then simply contact a Green mod or even a different Blue mod and we will take it through our "abuse allegation process". We do actually investigate these rather than putting them in the bin as one might think. I myself actually swore for the first time in my years of moderating in a fairly recent post. No one noticed. See if you can find it. Never the less, there are some words we will not tolerate nor will we allow direct or personal insults. Personally, I think swearwords lose their power if you over use them and are best saved for special occasions, but that's just me. Lastly, there are many things not in the written rules which are not tolerated, we dont want to be a forum which operates to some "BOOK OF THE LAW". This isnt Mega City One. Hello there He's done it deliberately to spite the playerbase from his new underground mansion filled with Lambo's and Pipsi. TBH sun colouration is such a tiny wee issue. If it really gets to you then make a report in the bugtracker. Hello there We have to walk that fine line between anarchy and rule of law as mods. Ok, perhaps not anarchy but we do let users get away with a heck of a lot more than they would on many other forums, although we often get accused of being over strict. The content and quality of it on the forum is mainly driven by you dear member. The more decent and cogent threads we have, the better posts in general will be generated. There'll always be one or two "special" posters, but if you make the forum unattractive to fools they soon flock where they feel feel comfy. When the forums degenerate into a slagfest or a hive mind is where things go wrong and its happening here to a degree. I try to guide, but am often ignored. Anyhoo, things will clam down in a day or two, its Everest and Cangate all over again. Rgds LoK

Hello there My apologies if I came over as arrogant, I can do that. I meant, I had left off our chat as you came back with a pure sarcastic reply (before you edited) and I wasnt going to bother wasting my time in replying to it. When you edited it you made a better reply of it and I was thinking about debating this with you but didnt think there was much of a point as we have such differing opinions. You seem to be shocked that Im not phased by this mega thread and a few more we've had to deal with today and somehow that makes me, in your eyes, unprofessional. The truth is I'm not worried about Dean's "quote" or the interest it has generated. When I first herd the rumour, I did wonder why we didnt get advance warning but this is not what folk are making out and a quick glance around reassured me, so im not worried at all. We've had things like this before, "cangate" for example. It'll blow over. From a forum moderating POV its had no real difference to my day other than positive results. From an IT point of view, imagine a slip up by a user caused some slight inconvenience but in fixing that it uncovered the solutions to some other niggling long term bugs then there's a kind of analogy. Go on, ill bite. Why should I be "pissed" about what Dean started? We've got rid of a few trolls and identified others, this has been effective from my point of view. If people refuse to see facts or jump blindly to conclusions, it does surprise me, no matter my years on the net. L
