Hello there Firstly, there is no such animal as a "good scripter". Secondly, Play vanilla A2CO for a while. Forget the campaign, but download some of the astounding user made missions from the Bis forums. There's also a couple of undead mods and campaigns/dynamic missions which are rather good and DAYZlike if you must have zombies. Stay away from high population servers as that's where the greifers mainly like to attack. Be patient, the scripters are on the wane at the moment due to Battle Eye stepping things up a little. rgds LoK -

hello there IMHO the best sniping weapon is the one you are most comfortable with. Personally, I'm rather a fan of iron sights over acogs/dots etc in DAYZ. Also, most servers in DAYZ have such a low viewdistance that using rifles with scopes in the way they are intended is not achieveable. In ARMA pvp I've recently become a fan of the hi powered tws rifles, but it almost seems a bit too easy with those. My true favourite since A1 is the MK12 SPR (even though damage is a little nerfed atm) but unfortunately isn't in DAYZ AFAIK. Rgds LoK -

Hello there apart from the issue of Lingor not being supported, it's part of the game experience to find your own way around. A 3rd party map removes that aspect. Go explore! rgds LoK

Hello unfortunately the best idea is to get rid of them but placing them in a zombies gear and "hide body" You may end up getting local bans from servers if you continue to use them.. rgds LoK

Hello there put it into the gear of a Zed and then "hide body". That ensures it's gone. You can continue using it, but it may result in you getting local bans from server admins that frown on the use of spawned in items. Also, if you believe it's not better than any other gun then there's no point keeping it is there? Ditch it. It may not be the law, but it's the right thing to do. rgds LoK

Hello there The Thermal scopes are rare though. Many folk have to make do with a hunting rifle if they are lucky. If they have become too available then simply editing the "loot tables" to decrease their chance of appearing would solve the issue. Also increasing the viewdistance would be advantagous as the standard is far too low for decent sniping. Rgds LoK

Hello there, don't forget there's a plethora of unused vehicles from Arma and the DLC's that are unused in dayz and many which would fulfill this role (probable not as economical fuel wise though). It's more likely to see one of them in game at the moment rather than an entirely new vehicle. Check em out in the editor. Regardless, a nice idea for a new form of transport. rgds LoK

Hello there Customs skins are legit and are not bannable. However, many servers do not allow them to be used or severely restrict their file size. Check the Bis forums or arma wiki on all the info you need. Rgds LoK -

Other ways to help? This is a test release. Bug reports, feedback, cheat reports, admin abuse etc etc. The dev's and BE are working together to halt the mass hacking as is evident with all the recent bans. Admittedly there's not alot *we* can do (with regards to scripting) except to make sure the servers are run properly with all countermeasures and security in place. One chap using scripts is not assisting on a global scale. Vigilantism is not the way forward. He is scripting. Ban him. rgds LoK -
Whats the best place just to kill random zombies without attracting bandits?

hello there I dont know why you'd want to waste ammo on zeds, but each to their own :) The best place is to find a lone house, there are many sprinkled about, a little north if the coast. they spawn a small amount oz zeds and should be far away enough from predators. Remember though that gunshot noise travels quite a distance, so wherever you are you may attract an unwanted presence by shooting. Rgds LoK -
