Hello there I'm an old OFP/VBS/A1/A2 etc etc etc player and since A2 was released I have had issues with gunshot sound location. I'm no uber l33t player and don't pretend to be, but I just can't seem to place where those shots are coming from.. I've used Audigy internal/external (varying versions), and am now using my onboard 7.1. I've tried with cheap headphones and reasonable price ones. 5.1 speakers and 2.1 speakers. if there is a solution (and I'm fine in other games/sims) I'd like to know as well. Even if it's something a silly as i havn't plugged in my earphones. You are not alone. (well there's two of us :) ) rgds LoK PS most other sounds are directionallly fine.

Hello there Minecraft has it's fair share of greifers. No game is immune. From Indie to AAA publications. I stopped playing BF3 because the servers were infested with aimbotters and glitchers for eg. Don't forget there is a far wider game to Arma than just DAYZ, try that for a change of pace. There are instances of "false positives" but BE does reverse these if one follows procedure, I really would try that, then play on quieter servers. Not a solution but a compromise. Rdgs LoK

Hello there I can confirm 2 things. 1. search! :) 2. You'll be fine. If an admin bans you from his server for using a custom face then he does'nt know enough about his server or how to run it and you're better of somewhere else. Have fun Rgds LoK

Hello there Your best bet is to try to contact the Admin directly, is there a clan/squad website/forum? Many admins regularly ban for high pings as it can adversely affect other players performance. Lastly, as one often hears in the forums, never get attached to your gear. Remember we are in a test phase and many things will change not least of all a complete loot wipe. Rgds LoK

Hello there If bonedripper doesn't script in Arma2 (which *may* or *may not* be true), then one assumes BE picked up on other running software like "cheat engine" or one of his "bot" programs? In that case it's still a legit ban is it not? Also, @bonedripper, if i received a ban I would give it a full working week before chasing it up. I bet BE's inbox is stuffed with appeals. If someone was banned unjustly, it would have to be a rare coming together of circumstances to trigger BE. rgds LoK

Hello there The thing you have mentioned will not get you Globally banned. If you tried to inject a script or had software like "cheat engine" running, that will get you globally banned. Annoying an admin can only get you a local ban from that server. Follow the FAQ on BE's site. Rgds LoK

Hello there Make sure you follow battle-eye's FAQ as if you give them tale, your request will not be looked at. If your "room-mate", "brother/sister" or "cat" has been using your account and cheated, you will not be reinstated, have a chat with "them" about a refund. Rgds LoK

Hello there In the nicest way i utterly disagree with you. :) Lingor, for me has a far more survial feel as any village you enter could have a bandit hiding in almost any of the buildings. Whereas in chernarus, if you can see down a street that it looks clear, then it usually is. With the multiple sight lines from every building available in lingor, entering built up areas is far more of a tense experience for me. Try it yourself. Rgds LoK

Hello there Do not forget that some folk, for whatever reason are not able to use a mic, hence the waggle/qeqe employed by many. Lowering of rifles is also helpful. Rgds LoK

Hello there When a game becomes poplular through methods viral or popular youtube feeds or just a reduction in price many players flock to it. After the initial honeymoon period, numbers tend to go down. Remembering this is an alpha, many newer players are expecting DAYZ to be a finished product and are therefore dissapointed as is evident by the many posts here. Attributing this decline to just the scripters is incorrect. There are many reasons (scripters being one of them), but I'll bet a whole pound (UKS) that the lessening of players is down to the games alpha nature coupled with Arma's inherent sim like qualities rather than it being a hand holding, bunny hopping consolian experience. rgds LoK
