Hello there This has come up before. I'm all for it. But, a balance has to be kept. I like my moderated forums but sometimes they can become a little draconian. For eg, the official Bohemia forums. It's a great place, but sometimes is a little harsh. For me, I find the rules here a little lax and its often difficult to get to any "meat" topic wise. (Before i get flamed, I love my meat in a gay way) So, without any eliteism or holier than thouness IMHO there needs to be some stricter enforcement here. Then again, that's just my opinion. perhaps the majority love it like this? Rgds LoK

Hello there There may be many "trolls" on the forum but, never hesitate to ask. There are no silly questions, we were all new once. It's nice to see folk help out and not grief a newcommer. DAYZ/Arma are not an easy games to get to grips with compares to many in the mainstream. Just remember, this is an early testphase of the mod so there will be many issues, ie loss of gear, broken limbs for no reason, backpacks eating weapons. Hello there I understand Op's pain. but no, just no need to script. I don't have any income at the moment, but I see folk spending cash and having fun all the time. My solution? Rob old people. They don't need the cash any more, I'm young and important. I don't mug anyone, only old folk. Plus, I only split the proceeds with my bro's, so what harm am I doing? NO Yes, the community can be poo. Yes, scripting is an issue. But why not play the game as it's supposed to be? This is a test phase, give feedback, don't lower oneself to the lowest common denominator. If you script, I hope you get banned. As a community we don't need you. Once the arseholes are bored they'll move on to another game. Beat em and kill em in game, but do it legit. Rgds LoK

Hello there I'm a massive fan of Iron Front which is a stand alone mod set in WW2, which utilises the same engine as DAYZ. Now, I know there are some publisher problems happening at the moment, but the devs of the game also went quiet on their community. So, for a long while there was a lot of conjecture and speculation on their forums to the games detriment. If they had said to us as a community, "hey there, were having issues at the moment, more news will follow when we can release any info" that would have helped immensely. Going silent is awful, it opens up the forums to misinformation, gossip and haters. As an ex Marketing employee and knowing how easy it is to lose touch and indeed sometimes alienate the community, any lack of comms from the devs is a silly,but easily fixable mistake. But, if they leave it too long, damage will be done. I hope they rectify it soon. rgds LoK

Hello there Communication is key. No timelines need be given, but if a once a week update saying "we are working on graphic issues" or "we are fixing tents" at least then folk know their issues are being addressed. Even a vague "been fixing dayz bugs this week" would not stop the moaners but would show that there is life and movement forward. It only take a few minutes once a week to make a post from a dev or community liasion. If there are not regular posts on progression, there really should be. A simple but useful marketing tool. Hello there As this is the Alpha test you must expect to loose your character/kit/weapons/sexyness on a regular basis. Scripting to get your kit back is a daft (as well as non ethical) thing to do and may get you Globally Banned. Just go with the glitch and continue to play. If it's a common happening then raise it here as that's the reason we are testing the mod. Rgds LoK

So many on the same subject, if a sticky was put up explaining the open nature of A2 it *might* stop some of the repeat threads on the same issue. Short answer to OP is, this game was never meant to be used the way it is in DAYZ. It's testament to it's modability that we have DAYZ but it's open nature leaves it open to exploitation. Rgds LoK

Hello there Do NOT buy from cd key re-sellers you will get no official support. Also, if your cd key is legit and you are having issues with it, have a look on the Bohemia forums as the devs etc will help you solve your issues. Hello there Whilst we do need to find alternate uses for the crowbar, military ammo and weapon boxes have been openable without special tools since around the time of Rourkes Drift in the Zulu wars, although i am sure there are exceptions. But it does need some kind of use, like opening player locked doors. Which would be an interesting mechanic IMHO. rgds LoK

@ OP Well, you missed out on A2 online. but, as you cheated in an online game and possibly spoiled/unbalanced the game for others, I'm afraid I do hope you don't come back, or indeed get the stand alone. Because, the minute you get bored with that, you'll cheat again. I cannot afford to blow cash on games as you seem to be able to, so I don't want some D'nose spoiling what little time I have to play with their idea of lulz. Good luck in the future. Hello there according to various rules / posts, you are allowed to keep anything you find. Morally though, I would say no. It took you no effort to locate that equip.
