Hullo there I'm noticing that many folk when they get kicked for a high ping think it's over racism of one type or another, so he may have received a chat / message saying "sorry you are from XXX and so being kicked" and assuming it's because of his country. Rgds LoK EDIT: I've also seen servers kick non native language speakers or if the chaps name is in cyrillic then perhaps an (not very worldly wise) admin thought it was some odd L33t typing.

Hello there DAYZ is a "mod" and so is "Lingor isle" (although Lingor is a mix of both a map and addons.) I've played DAYZ on certain non hive servers with JSRS sound and, I think, WarFX for example, so there are some out there. There are no other "supported" mods for DAYZ apart from Lingor, which isn't really supported, rather tolerated. At home I play SP DAYZ with a vaaaast amount of mods enabled, from Ricewinders Magic mod to A.C.E. but that's probably a bit out of the scope of this thread. Lingor Maps don't use the official Hive (which essentially stores your character amongst other things) and many Lingor servers run on different "Hives" so while you may play with one character on one Lingor or Chenarus server, on other servers you may not have the same character. Launchers make it easy to run "mods". Mods can be anything from new sounds to entire new armies or maps, one can either download them manually or some launchers allow you do automise the process. Hello there No, using an illegal copy just means you wont be able to play after a while. There are many mod managers for use with DAYZ and Arma2. I personally prefer Armarize to DayzCommander or Six Launcher (there are others). You can also manage your mods by yourself. As to Lingor in Dayz etc., it's down to the server host as to what mods he/she allows. Most DAYZ servers don't allow any other third party mods. But some servers that do allow specific mods do exist. Using an illegal copy of the game won't help you in any way shape or form in this regard. Check sites like www.Armaholic.com for the many mods that are available. Rgds LoK

Hello there Check the bohemia forums on their standing on stolen CD keys. Don't spam Battle eye as it only makes their jobs harder. Don't download any form of executable on your machine unless you know exactly what's in it and what it's supposed to do. (exe's, screen savers etc etc) I hear rants about every anti cheat engine, and although false positives do happen, as has been seen with BE, they do reverse unjust bans. It takes time and patience (on your part) Also make sure you have separate accounts on your machine for "brothers" etc who may have done something dodgey on your PC. although that is no guarantee of protection. rgds LoK

Hello there Age may not reflect maturity but I, myself, don't have a vast amount in common with those in their teens, so I can understand age limits. But it works both ways, I wouldn't expect a bunch of 14 year old's to want me as part of their clan, and to be honest it would feel a little odd for me as well. hello there The "I can see you" custom audio file has been around in arma for a long time. It's just a player messing with you through legit means (depending on server settings). He can't see you and everyone on the same channel hears it. First time is freaky though. Rgds LoK

Hello there Bronies, carebears and bandits, oh my! I think, on the whole, the terms carebear and bandits are way too "pidgeonholing" for my tastes and don't have a true direct connection to Bronies. They are playstyles (ish) rather than a fandom. Also, I am what many would class as a carebear, but my personality is far deeper than that, but as I often try to be polite I often get branded with that simple label. Bronies, well I think there's enough representation of them on the internet and I for one don't understand the attraction to these cartoon ponies. Hello there When it comes to a community ban there must be proof, always, otherwise the system becomes open to corruption and exploitation. An unjust ban from a single server, may be a pain, but as we all know there are plenty of others to hop onto. Is there any reason not to publish community ban proof? If it's supposed to be in the forum mentioned above, how come it isn't being posted? If I were banned, I'd want to see proof and have it analysed by the wider community. Hello there Empathy does not equate to "sucking dick", that's a very out of date POV. I used to work on the doors of Nightclubs and empathy (seen the other person's POV) can go a long way when dealing with "difficult" customers. Sometimes, holding your tongue can assist a situation immensely in both tricky situations and "friendship" ones. It doesn't mean one has to lie or be deceitful and regardless, if I have mates who bitch behind my back, whether I talk to them bluntly or not, then they were never friends to begin with. You're right about the anon behaviour though, it can be a good indicator, but it's not 100pc reliable. Rgds LoK

Hello there You may need to wait considerably longer than a day for them to get around to your issue. If you are a sufferer of a non legit ban you will get reinstated. Patience. But on the other hand, if there is anything iffy with your setup or "someone" else used that key stealer, you are out of luck. regardless, Arma has great SP potential and there are other Zombie mods and missions to occupy you while you wait. If however, you believe your ban is not legit, carefully read the FAQ at the be site and send them the info they require and then wait. They do reverse non legit bans. If however, they believe you have cheated or attempted to, then they will NOT contact you.. Rgds LoK
