Hello there Isn't this a dupe post? If you hacked, no matter the reason, you are Global Banned. Also, with that error number, it looks like you attempted to run a false hack and your CD key was stolen and replaced with a banned / broken one. Congrats, you made a Key reseller a few quid. Check your PC for other leaks no knowing what your PC is exposed to now. Rgds LoK

Hello there A quick ponder through the forums would suggest they do indeed reply to requests, perhaps not all and perhaps not to ranty emails. BE do and should care, otherwise they wouldn't have un-banned so many folk with non legit GB's. Plus Bohemia wouldn't bother using BE. Also, check for $able's regular posts on the bis forums. Do a quick forum search, I saw a post from a chap who was un-banned today. Rgds LoK

Hello there if you have a Global ban do as other posters have said and contact Battle Eye. Read their FAQ carefully and follow it to the letter. Don't spam BE with repeat emails. Last of all be PATIENT. If you have a non legit ban it may take time to clear. Now, if you just cannot get on to some (or your favourite servers) you many have been locally or community banned. if its a multi server community band search these forums for the appropriate thread to put your info into. If its a single ban server you need to get in contact with THAT specific admin, either here or through email Rgds LoK Ps. do you get a code on screen like "ban "#54637" ? if so post it here....

Hello there I just love it when a poster tells us to get out of "his" private thread on a public forum. whether you want it or not in this arena you will get other folk giving their pennies worth. If you don't want us joining in take your grievance to PM. Don't air your dirty laundry if you don't want us to see your smalls. If you have an issue, this isn't they way to get it solved. Lastly, I don't think i'm troll feeding as he's not spreading this to other threads, and whilst his replies are illogical they at least make some sense from his own personal perspective. Hello there The armband ability is already built into arma. But it's just not enabled/programmed for many of the classes. Especially the civvies. But it IS doable and indeed works on vehicles and on *some* infantry armbands. rgds LoK

Hello there Try Arma2Free and see if that runs well, as it uses the same engine, albeit at a reduced quality. If it does, you may be able to run DAYZ. (OA/Dayz take up a bit more processing power) rgds LoK

Hello there Most of these have been boght up before, but it's nice to have them all in one well organised list. You have my beans. Weapon resting has been implemented very very well in the i44 mod and also in the A.C.E. mod. Vanilla arma needs that as a default IMHO and is my particular pet peeve. If the game had all the above and no zeds at all I'd be a happy camper (excuse the pun). rgds LoK

Hello there, For me Golf carts don't feel right in the current setting. They feel more like a "fer teh lulz" type of vehicle. There are the Aeroplane tugs already in Arma, which fill that role quite nicely IMHO. Are they in vanilla Dayz? Rgds LoK

Hello there I'm a long time player of the series. Whilst we love the game, I'm fairly sure none of us are wonderfully happy with the engine, BUT it's the best there is on the market ATM that can simulate an almost full combined ops experience. If you have a decent rig (mine is average) one can have massive battles over 100's of square km from a first person view and take part in any role, from engineer, medic, pilot, gunner etc etc. No other system can do that. The BF series attempts to but on a far smaller and more arcade scale. Also the beauty and bane of the Arma series is the fact it is so open and "easy" to mod. Without that capability we would not have the thousands of great addons we have, one of which is DAYZ (which to be honest, compared to other Arma mods is very rushed and unfinished in comparison to A.C.E. or PRACS or i44 to name but a handful) The bad side of this is that the game is open to exploits and was never really designed to support a game like this. EG it's like taking the Mario Cart engine and modding a High end military sim with it. Us wargamers also have to put up with many annoying issues but the Pros of the engine outweigh the Cons. Hello there, I'm a survior, and i exclusively solo I purely play to survive and forage. As the game is so open ended there is no real objective other than to survive so the rest is up to your imagination. I try to find a rarely visited place to set up camp and protect that. Sometimes I succeed sometimes I get looted. Such is life. There's no point playing the game uber safe as you'll find yourself having nothing to do. If I was a bandit, I would try to make a name for myself. Ie choose a specific area and clean it out of Zeds and players and keep it clear, If chat is enabled warn other players that the area you are in is out of bounds and snipe away. Obviously this will bring you to the attention of other bandits and survivors who will want to take you out. Give yourself a time limit of say, an hour and if you survive that you have "won" that round. Make it a regular occourance and you'll soon get a name for yourself. Also, perhaps try to act courteously whilst in this role, as people tend to respect a gentleman thief rather than "ratboy" griefers (not implying you are one or the other). TL;DR give yourself some achieveable but tricky objectives and you will feel well rewarded. Rgds LoK

Hello there Arma2 offers a vast amount of experiences than DAYZ. There are RPG servers, literally thousands of GOOD quality mods (not lots of crud), Single player Zombie maps, if that's your thing,campaigns galore, different islands with 100s of sq miles to mess about in. Get the full game plus the expansions to experience it in it's full glory. This series of games are the only ones to never have been deleted from my HDD. I even went as far as buying VBS1 (the military grade training tool) for a silly amount of cash (when i had a job :) ) It's a phenominal sim. If you are still not sure try Arma2free, as you can play the MP content (albeit with reduced quality) and see if you can handle the control system as it's not to everyones taste. Rgds LoK

Hello there The other posters are correct. If you absolutely feel and know it's a false positive then follow the FAQ on BE's site and send them ONE email. If it's not a legit ban it will be reversed, If not then you will hear nothing. Also, dont spam them with emails. If another person (brother,sister second cousin removed, flatmate, friend, dog etc)has attempted to "hack" on your PC, it's your fault and the ban will not be reversed. I hope this helps. Rgds LoK

Hello there OP didn't break any official rules. SA however did give valid reasonable reasons. Reasonable is the key word. Rockets word on banning is not God given Law as is evident throughout the community. regardless of any posts he may have made, otherwise many many many servers would be blacklisted. If the SA runs a strict but fair server and does not abuse his power then all is good. Griefing comes in many shapes and forms. Not all of which have to be written down. As long as SA uses common sense and reasonable judgement then the majority are happy. OP seems to be a little upset and on some sort of vendetta. Why not play on one of the many, many other servers? If OP's mates won't follow him along to group up on another server, then maybe OP isn't as popular as he thinks. rgds LoK

Hello there Please check out Armaholic or the bohemia forums for a full run down of all the available mods etc. I have a small collection of the many that are available installed and its added 60gig to my folder size. If you just use A2 for DAYZ, you really are missing out on some amazing stuff. Rgds LoK

Hello there Maps are also shareable. If one marks the map whilst in the global chat mode, map symbols placed by you will be visible to others. There's a vast amount of symbols that can be accessed. It' just a leftover from arma, nothing to worry about. Rgds LoK
