hullo there BE is not infallible. And mistake are made. BUT B.E. have rescinded any false positives in the past, and one assume they will continue to do so. It is in their best interest. Being online with a chum "who doesn't hack" doesn't mean a thing. I have many associate who tell me they don't use coke. Get em in a party situation and there they are being hoovers. Hello there All you can do, if it really is a false positive is to follow BE's FAQ and send ONE email to them. If you are legit they will reverse the ban. If you or another using your PC has been naughty then you'll hear nothing back and will not be able to play on any BE protected servers. rgds LoK

Hello there Lack of consequence and taking the shortest route to safety (KOS) is a major factor. Nevertheless, there are many who play differently to this and they often suffer because of it. Consequences of real value would be great in game, but it would take a vast amount of thought to get it right. rgds LoK

Hello there I understand your point, but the analogy doesn't work. This game is far more sandboxy that say chess, plus there is a third antagonist ie the zeds. Some people just want to coop and fight them. One could possibly say the health/food survival mechanic is another antagonist but zeds are the main danger of the two. Now if the Zeds were removed then the game would be a far more based PVP thing, but then folks would split into the solo or group mentality. When games are open people will find a way to play which suits them. as the survivors have done and as the bandits have done. Each to their own I say, whilst the mechanics can handle it. What appeals to one person may seem odd or dull to others and vice versa. rgds LoK

Hello there Alt+F4 is a standard windows "close it down quick" command. In game it's used to avoid confrontation and to generally be a scaredy cat and also to deny victors of their loot. Unless used to avoid hackers or if bugged, it's seen as poor form in the community to use it, especially in combat. It still works in game btw as others have said. TL:DR Don't do it. Rgds LoK

hello there Have you tried using a different launcher or tried to do it by hand? For me, Armarize launcher rocks, there are many out there. Not just Six an Commander. Try armaholic to find more. PS they may not be as "simple" but are far more versatile IMHO. Good luck Rgds LoK

Hello there There are loads of us out there playing arma2! Perhaps not as many as Dayz :) What mods do you think you have to register for? Im a bit confused by that. Some mod loaders like Armarize will automatically download the correct mods for most servers (there can be a fews issues with selected mods though) so try looking at that to help you. bear in mind many mods will drastically increase your Arma footprint. (i'm at about 60gigs now) and that some mods are large and will take time to download. Rgds Lok

Hello there Snipers are not bad players, greifers are. Also, CQB (or even mid range) can be an utter pain with a high scoped weapon. (assuming crosshairs are off). These snipers were not proficient as one should have been playing the spotter role with an assault rifle. Rgds LoK

Not good form to hijack a thread :) Now, in regards to OP, we may not approve of his actions and indeed some skepticism is required, but while the mods don't mind, I personally wouldn't assist him in getting back on line, especially here in the forums. Can he/she not google? Not capable of finding things out for themselves? I find it a bit rich to ask in the community forum of the game they scripted in.
