Hello there I love the game, the youtube vids just don't do it justice. For £3.60UK it's a bargain. And the new updates are groovy too. I'm thinking about knocking up some weapon models for it as the game seems to use FBX files through UNITY. I can understand peoples reticence to this kind of mechanic and indeed I also thought that way. But now I have been bitten by the bug and it really adds to the realism, for the first time in years, I almost feel like i'm holding and operating a real weapon. But, it's the animations etc that make it superb and as DAYZ/Arma stands I don't know if its possible. Just adding a bunch of keys to press to load ones weapon at the moment would be painful. A damn interesting idea though, I'd love to see it ingame. Rgds LoK

Hello there after spending some time with Receiver (thank's OP!) I have now come to the conclusion that all FPS's need this mechanic. At first it's cumbersome and almost irritating, but now I can't do without it. I used to have a 1911 and although that is long gone, now I can relive having it in game (shame we cant field strip it), worth investing a fiver Rgds LoK

Hello all I know the game is in a test phase, plagued by script kiddies and that doors can kill me. My backpack regularly eats my weapons, and griefers and KOS types are everywhere. The inventory system is bearable apart from a few bugs and Dayz itself needs a beast of a machine to run. The selfish dev's keep churning out fixes and updates and private hive are bringing all sorts of fun new mods and islands to the game. The core gameplay is fun when it works and the community is lively to say the least I have decided, that as everything's pretty much as it's always been that I'm just going to continue on as I usually do. Nothings changed. But my ego is so massive that I had to start a new post and let you know about my general sameness of feelings towards the game. Rgds LoK

hello there Sure that's the error number? I can find no trace of that code. Regardless, you've done the correct thing now it's a waiting game. BE will reverse the ban if it's not legit, but if, for example, "someone" else has used your machine and attempted to "hack" then your ban will not be overturned. rgds LoK

Hello there Setting up you own LAN dayz isn't a global Ban offence AFAIK. it may be frowned upon by the dev's but isn't too terrible. If you have been GB'ed your only available path is to send ONE email to Battle Eye after carefully reading and adhering to their FAQ. What is the error code you receive when trying to log in? It may help us tell you where you went wrong. Rgds LoK

Hello all Ok this thread seems to suddenly be all about GB's All you can do, if you really believe it's an unjust ban is to follow Battle Eye's FAQ to the letter and send ONE email to them. If the ban was non legit, it *will* be overturned, but it may take some time to process. It does happen, they do care. If, however, you OR someone else has compromised your PC or through your own actions have compromised your key then nothing will be done. YOU must take care of your system. Hello there Well, I do agree somewhat that art style can add a vast mount to an experience. But for me reality is quite enough,so the more realistic the game could be the better. I don't revel in gore but like things to be as true as they can. On the other hand It would be nice (if it gave no advantage) to be able to choose different shaders to the game, so one could view it in say a more mangaesque way or monochrome for eg. Hello there I may have seemed sympathetic to OP's original post. This may rectify the situation. So, earlier versions didn't count? When you unbalanced the game for others that was ok? Now you can't play there's some guilt? I think not. Crocodile tears methinks. I'm very angry at you and folk like you. how do you justify your actions? Why not play regular Arma as other posters have said? I just don't get it. It's a game, if you don't like the mechanics don't play. There's a whole bunch of games i'm half interested in but don't quite float my boat. Why play and cheat? Where's the challenge? I'm sorry, maybe you really did just script to try squad practice, but if that really was the reason then you must be a little bit silly, to say the least. argh! I just don't know what to say. Really you have left me speechless (typeless?) ffs just don't exploit,grief or cheat there's enough crap in the real world without you bringing poo to this little game.
