i don't think I *deserve* to be in the mod, but it is rather nice. Being "Mixed Fruit" however, mocks what's left of my manly sexuality... (although I am quite fruity :) ) I don't really see the issue with the names and the work that was put into creating the models textures is splendid. Perhaps some could have been more "Eastern Block"esque, but that's my personal take. Plus, the moderators AFAIK had no input as to whether they were included or not. I certainly didn't, so please don't think we did it for "teh lulz" or an over exaggerated sense of self importance. Personally, I think the mods and support guys (to mention but a few) do deserve some little recognition for all their hard work. Plus, it shouldn't be too hard to bring out a mod to alter the textures if you and others really wanted to or if there were that much objection to it. I believe simple skin changes are fairly easy in Arma for items. Rgds LoK -

Hello there "One does not simply open a gunsafe" An interesting idea. New to me. In SA we had a gunsafe in a gun cellar. Two big doors to get through. No guns in there though. They were safely* kept under the beds. Rgds LoK *not safe.

Hello there Some of the native maps are splendid and should be used, but they may not be large enough. Other maps do suit the mod though. Even Lingor (if one uses the camo troops suits suprisingly well). Rgds LoK

Hello there Practice, practice and more practice. The game *is* hard. It's also not for everyone. But once you get into it, it can be astounding. It's sometimes worth playing vanilla Arma missions to get to grips with the engine if one is new to it. Other posters here have all given great advice. Follow it :) Rgds LoK

Hello there I don't think you need worry about a high res ploppy with realistic textures and one can pick up and rub over ones body in 1080 hi def imagery. What ever is done will be non "uber graphic" Rgds LoK -

Hello there In many ways i completely agree with you. But as this is a survival sim also incorporating diseases, waste is a known vector for transmitting them. It's the handling of waste and the issues it presents which are apparently going in game. Remember early Britons used poo for many many uses. Infecting water sources etc is an important and interesting game dynamic. Wiki "Merril's Marauders" (ww2) to see what can happen to a fighting force drinking sullied water. Rgds LoK -

Hello there re: Griefers They'll grief with whatever is easy and at hand. Don't limit our game experience to combat them. If I'm being griefed with poo or a makarov, it makes no difference, I'm still being griefed. Also, do remember these are just point of light. It isn't real poo. Rgds LoK -
Do you think that REAL reload animations would be important for the Standalone?

Hello there I'm also a fan of decent reload anims. Games like red orchestra really give you a feel of handling a real weapon (or a nice approximation.) Arma as it stands doesn't really give that "feel" any more. It's not a vital thing, but imho a pretty important immersion tool. Rgds LoK -

Hello there As long as the mechanic is carried out well then I do not see an issue with this. "won't somebody think of the children?" surely exposing them to human functions will destroy their fragile brains!? I think society will cope just fine. I think we as gamers will cope just fine. Hello there AFAIK the weapon's scope "tuning" does work in the manner you describe. It's adjustable for longer ranges to compensate for bullet drop etc. The issue is not helped by the fact that DAYZ view distance is so short in comparison to default Arma. More tweaking to sniping would be good. Perhaps some tips could be taken from the ACE mod? Rgds LoK
