    Hello there If OFP can port to an xbox, the dayz can too. As long as the game (for the PC) is not compromised in any way, I have no issue.     Hello there Ah, I see what you mean. The two products are aimed at two distinct audiences (bear with me) and there will be a vast difference from the SA when compared to the mod, otherwise what would be the point? Some folk might just stick with the mod, but I dont see it having a major impact on their sales. Other mods have gone "pro" and have been successful. The RO series for eg. I played both the UT mod and the series. Rgds LoK

    New in Dayz - custom map advice

    Hello there Due to the nature of the Arma engine you wont find any massively urban maps, especially with enterable buildings. Fallujah is very building intensive but can be a bugger to run and most buildings cannot be entered. I also vote for Lingor. Rgds L

    Hello there As other tried to point out, even if folk stick with the mod they'll still have to buy a Bis product. Namely A2OA or possibly A3. I doubt BI would release a product that would damage their own profits, they're a small organisation but not daft. Rgds LoK

    Hello there I think one would have to be naive to think that there will not be an unofficial port to A3. The coding is so similar. But I believe the SA will have its own path and the two will, for the most part, be uncomapareable. The mod will continue on it's own path as will the SA. Look at the mod now. There are so many 1337 loadouts and 200+ vehicle servers, that's not what Dayz was originally about. The SA will use it's own engine and the functionality will massively differ from A3. Dont forget what will be stripped and altered. Yes the core may be similar but the end *game* will be very different. Rgds LoK

    Hello there One would think that the mod officially or unofficially will simply port over to A3 and will continue on from there. There will always be those who wont want an unmoddable "hardcore" experience. A mod will be the way forward. If there's no way made for mods to be possible (as we are led to believe for the initial release) then A3 is the most obvious tangent. Rgds Lok

    Regardless of RC being annoyed, don't lower yourself to sarcastic comments. If he is just flamed for his opinion, correct or not, he'll never return and then will never see anything from anyone else's point of view. I too think he's mistaken. But rather than alienate the chap, let him know the facts. Also anyone in the spotlight (or indeed wants to be) is going to have a large ego. That's not in and of itself a bad thing. But sometimes having many "yes men" around one can skew ones perception. And it can be hard having one's preconceptions challenged. So when dealing with folk like this, it's often wise to wear kid gloves. I know very little of RC (i think he's a known 'tuber or a streamer), so cannot say any of this applies to him, rather this is a point for *up there* folk in general. If he cant see the wood for the trees then guide him. Rgds LoK

    Hello there As the good chap above me points out we don't deal with bans here. I will tell you that code is individual to you and doesnt really *mean* anything other than it's *your* ban code. www.battleye.com is the way forward. LoK'ed
