Secondly, your post is a little confusing but it also seems that you have installed some software you were "trolled" into installing.   4. Hello there You need A2CO to play days. There is no release date for the Stand alone. It will take some time. The mod is separately developed and AFAIK has no plans to cease development. Rdgs LoK

    Hello there The devs are obviously going to keep an eye on the boards (and reddit etc) and the feedback they give, but one has to remember the SA is not a polished version of the mod, so many issues aspects that are in the mod will simply not be present or apply to the SA. The mod and the SA are two different beasts following two very distinctly different paths, although in a ven diagram there's many overlaps. Rgds LoK

    Hello there As to the original OP question I would not be surprised if both the mod and the SA take some inspiration from eachother but on the whole they are two different beasts on a similar engine with a similar theme. I'd like to think that the SA wond be *just* a tarted up version of the mod, although there will be similarities. Rgds LoK

  17. Hello there The A2 mod will always be vastly different from the SA and as long as someone continues to work on it then it will live. No A3 unofficial port will properly take of until after the release of a full and stable A3. The release of the SA will draw many away, especially initially, but may be too hardcore for many. Regardless, remember folk still play and mod for OFP rather than move to Arma so as long as there are folk playing the mod and its derivatives will exist. Rgds LoK

    Hello there I understand Op's point. Having one dangerous 1337 rifle makes owning/finding it far more sexy also the danger of having everyone hunt for it and you would make using it far more risky. I think for an area the size of Chenarus one heavy 50 calibre is enough. I can imagine there still being CZ rifles around for squirrel hunting etc, but they should still be uncommon. The majority (which imho should still be scarce) should be shotguns for the farming community with the odd rifle and plinking pistol thrown in for good measure. There does seem to be a heck of a lot of weaponry kicking around Chenarus if we are giving even a vague not to realism/simulation. I'd like gun ownership to feel important. Rather than thinking "there's an AKM, nah, I'll give it a miss there'll be a full Ak in the tower" I want to treasure my revolver and 3 rounds. This also makes Infected more of a threat again rather than cannon fodder. Just my playstyle, Looking at the available servers I'm obviously in the minority. Rgds LoK

    Hello there when you get down to ground level you really see whats missing. As the main road system/pavements etc is essentially a "google earth" type texture, there's very little fidelity on the ground. When walking about its just a few square low res "blocks" of buildings separated by some empty land. Its a bit more work than just buffing up some textures. :( sad face. Rgds LoK

    Hello there A nice idea, but...how much are Cray supercomputers nowadays? Whilst the TKOH maps are nice they don't bear any close scrutiny. As the Fragmeister Uber fiend says, any closer than 500m and "snap!" the illusion s gone. Chenarus+ will change the way you play and experience the game. Patience, grasshoppers. Rgds LoK
