Hello there I haven't approached anyone rather, I'm just posting here for your edification. I don't feel comfortable going up to folk and saying "look at me!!" I think if my stuff's any good then it will reach the ears and eyes of those in charge through osmosis, if it's not then it will pass them by. I think the dev team have enough on their plate with the upcoming expo. (you can always go along and shout at him about this thread if you like :) ) Rgds LoK

Hey there Its all scratch built. I look at pics of the building and just throw it together how I would with normal lego... I'm working on details on the Gas station now. Trying to work out how to do the material/roofing hanging off the back of the original model. Not sure about it at mo. Next im going to add the cracked plaster (you can see one piece is missing in preparation. As I've said before I'm happy to render your creations up if you send me your files. Rgds LoK

Separate rendering software. Me's an ex graphic designer by trade. UPDATE: sorry for short previous reply, there's various routes for getting your models into software like POV etc. I'm a 3dsmax guy. But POV *is* free and capable of great renders. Get LDview and export from LDD import the model and export it as a 3ds which is readable by many software packs.

There's a bigger gas station, so your efforts could be remade into that? Anyhoo there's no reason why you cant make your own version of the small gas station. Check the dayz wiki building lists for inspiration. A good looking deerstand is one I might tackle next but its gona be difficult. Rgds LoK

Hello there Frag's there is much righteous rage-quitting involve in this hobby. Although an infinite number of bricks is a cool prospect there are drawbacks to digital Lego creation. Be prepared to be both frustrated and rewarded. Try to copy an existing plan to get to grips with it. Looking forward to seeing yer stuff! Rgds LoK

Hello there It's often not easy to manipulate. when you click on an item ( and move it a bit) an icon like your arrow keys will appear next to the item. use the arrow keys to rotate your Lego. Rgds LoK

Hello there This is splendid, *muffins* for everyone. All lego pieces in LDD *are* official, in fact the Lego chaps use a version of it to create new sets and they use Maya to render it up in 3D. The drawback with LDD is that it does not support some of the older uncommon pieces, but most folk won't need those. I want to see more of your work, all of you. Hello there Splendid, great idea, Terror. What you *get* to see is a small amount of models I make, as 9 out of 10 I reject. I had a diorama of Fraggle walking down a gorge towards some gear with steak about to snipe him but it was missing something , so I didnt release it. A deerstand and/or tent *might* make it work. I shall revisit it and see what happens. More feedback! Hello there Tonight I twittered Dean and to my surprise he answered very quickly. (see if you can spot my tweet and Dean's reply). TBH to start or involve himself in a topic here rather than reddit, twitter and facebook etc takes a little more thought and time (absolutely no offence to Reddit) to do, as here there *will* be the inevitable questioning from all of us whereas down other avenues one can "fire and forget" topics and thoughts to a certain extent. Rocket/Dean *is* active here (he once gave me his precious, precious beanz) but we have to remember he only has a limited time to spend with *us*. As well as DAYZ he also has a personal life (wrong I know) and, as he is at the forefront, he is dealing with everything from project management to comms to marketing (I hope) etc etc. Yes, I'd love him to be here all the time to answer all our questions but it's simply not possible IMHO. That's why you have guys like Matt, Griff , Boney, Smash and us other mods and help tech staff *looking at you rage (and the rest of you guys)* R has a finite amount of resources to distribute and cant be everywhere all the time. He has to pick and choose. IMHO he see's here as *cool* and knows that anything he says/does will be posted up ASAP regardless. To me this forum is closer to his "inner circle" (no jokes please, steak and hets) than other places. His lack of appearance *here* troubles me not, and I'm a critical person and no fanboi (believe it or not). But, I have faith in him and he seems to know his onions, have faith, nothing will pass us by here. Rgds LoK

Ok, apparently I wont, It's brilliant that you like my stuff, but what would be good as a mini diorama that would *represent* DAYZ? Tomorrow, I plan to recreate a Chernarus petrol station with accurate lego esque stickers/signage etc. I think a mini scene with that would work. Obviously, my barn and firestation builds, whilst sexy, are just too damn big to have made up. We/I need to think of mini builds that give over the *feel* of the game.
