Hello there Keep it nice guys. Whilst the law may hold up I do think that in many situations it can lower the quality of work and the effect on the workforce can be negative. There are a lot of things in this world which can be theorised and be proven to work on paper, but when these theories encounter real world situations, things can often change. Rgds LoK

Hello there As Fraggle obliquely points out, it looks like there will be a bolt animation and it has been implemented in other RV games/mods. As to OP there's a lot of incorect assumption in the first post. We get so many posts that are about "what I heard" rather than facts. Hello there Op, that's quite a big ask as many folk who bought A2/OA etc for dayz are now experiencing the vast amount of fun to be had with the core game. If you really are after a free transaction, youre probably better off asking on the steam forums. If youve made it to here, well, this is the hard core and most folk are unlikely to give up that Arma loveliness, even if they could. Rgds LoK

hello there It is very odd how people react to a release. There does seem to be a large amount of folk who misconstrue and uber analyse every press release and then rail against a company that they "lied" about one feature or another. Take the A3 release. It wasnt what I personally was expecting. am I dissapoint? A little, but thats down to me. I assumed that stuff which was never advertised to be ingame and it wasnt. Are the dev's to blame? No. Could they have done more? possibly who knows? Its easy as an end user to say "hey a mod has done this why not you?" and from layman's point of view it is so. But in reality there are so many factors we are not privy to which alter in reality and cold hard business what the final result is. Initially I was quite critical of many decisions made but now find myself defending the devs from this unwarranted level of abuse and angst from old and new folk to the scene. I can completely understand why some devs give no info out, which in an ideal world would be seen as poor communication, but the the amount of wailing and gnashing of teeth by "joe average", if i ever made my own game, would put me off giving any info or demos at all. Im really personally disappointed with the reception A3 gets as well as the DAYZ mod, regardless of their FREE hard work, and probably will be astounded by the negativity that the SA will inevitably yet incorrectly will get. Im all for constructive criticism, I've spoken against many things with the "gods" here and am honestly surprised and yet pleased that they've let me stay on, probably because they are reasonable intelligent folk who are probably more level headed than myself, but the level of antagonism towards all the RV games Im seeing surprises even me. The Dayz Mod isnt perfect, A3 isnt perfect and the SA when it's alpha released most likely will not be perfect. Im not a blind fanboi of either BiS or Dean etc (except Matt, I love him) and I dont think anyone should be. But if one is going to complain, at least do it in a cogent intelligent constructive way. The devs of A3, the Mod and the SA must have very thick skin. I applaud them. Rgds LoK

Hello there Miffy, I think your expectations will not be met with the SA's alpha release. You're probably better of playing the "shit" mod on private servers. If you do decide to buy then do your research beforehand, if A3 upset you that much then the alpha release will most likely drive you over the edge. rgds LoK -

Hello there Hmmm Interesting. OP's PM may not have been the most eloquent, but the hoster's reply smacks of amateurism to me. They aren't buddies, they're a provider and a user. If they think we're kids? Well we are. I just happen to be an old one. No way would I say something like that in a support ticket etc though. Poor show indeed. 10) Transactions: You may not under any circumstances sell or buy in game items for real world money, the same goes for selling access to an Official or Non official Server, If you choose to do so on a Privately hosted server not connected to Hive you must advertise that else where. This may fall under this, so dont be surprised if hidden. L

Hello there Im sure im missing something :) Or we're talking at cross purposes. What Im alluding to is that Zeds need to be less glitchy so one doesn't waste ammo unnecessarily (ie firing at zeds half through door , but only otting the doors hitbox, or a zed being near to one in a lunge position only to jump feet away when idle etc). Having no ammo should be an unhappy time but I still personally would like ammo to be rare. "the Road" style. Rgds LoK -

Hello there I've always liked the thought of mini games within games. When I used to live in Africa one would often find a pattern of a game "board" scratched in stone on a wall or convenient rock which could be played with stones. A form of othello/kensington if you will. That goes back a long way. This has cropped up before on the forums, and i'd like to see something simple implemented. Could add something to the loot tables too. Rgds LoK

Hello there I think Zeds are a very high priority for the team as they are one of the major POI's of the game. I think the proposed mechanic will be fine as long as the zeds come up to scratch, which I reckon they will. I think it would be interesting to have car repair detailed as it would make possessing one much more of an achievement and on would be less likely to risk it being damaged if possible. Building one from scratch though is a little much IMHO. Rgds LoK -
