    Yes, after sitting down for an actual bit of time with the game, this is certainly the perfect description of the problem. Hopefully it doesn't take too long for them to be able to change it back to the previous and rawer input that we had for so long.

    Already posted it on the feedback tracker, but in case anyone here has issues and doesn't check the tracker, TrackIR is indeed working now. I had to delete my cfg files first, it didn't work when I had booted the experimental branch before that, but it is working now for me. No need to enable anything in the options menu either, it just works. Also works on both 32 and 64 bit clients. Has anyone else noticed it feeling a bit "floaty" though in this new experimental build? I haven't had a chance to tinker with my settings yet to see if that's the issue, but that was my first impression. Will be able to give it a go later on and see if I just accidentally defaulted movement settings for the headtracker in the TIR applet.

    I'm getting the same after a minute or two on the servers. Has anyone else been able to get TrackIR working on experimental? Not working for me at all, but searching around to see if it's a local issue or a general bug before I report it.

    Dang, guess my helmet didn't protect me too much. Well, it did in that I was unconscious instead of full dead for a good too minutes before he finished me off, but I was doing that bandity thing of chopping down an ash tree to craft a rod to prepare for fishing when the tents get fixed (If there isn't another reset with the hotfix coming that I'm guessing is to fix the tent spawn at least) so it's a good thing that kind soul put me down. I'll run around in my underwear so people know I'm not a threat and I definitely won't get killed like that again.

    My friend and I took to wearing them a lot back in the days when we kept getting one-hit killed by zeds, usually wear them until a ballistic helmet is found for the protection, as I've been killed in every type of clothing and level of threat my chose of wardrobe may pose to someone's eye, so I don't really mind how it comes off. Plus I don't like showing off my face until I get west when so many people always have it on the coast. Can't wait for the day that there are enough faces that it doesn't seem like everyone was made in a lab.

    I really do like mixing the bandanas with bike helmets, would look better with some complete colour matching going on but yea. Hopefully the broken tent spawns get fixed seeing as they were supposed to be spawning.

    Just had a look at the respawn madness myself with Green Mountain. Couldn't replicate it at Balota but was amazed to see items respawning right in front of my eyes at times that I didn't need to take it away any distance. Seeing as the respawn seems to be working ok down in Balota (I emptied the jail nearest to Cherno and had taken the loot a good distance away, when I came back it was still empty) as far as doing it when you're still there goes anyway, I find it a bit weird that the same building elsewhere has such an issue. At least now my mind can settle on how a wool coat appeared in front of my eyes when I lifted a can of beans in Vybor on Friday though. Edit: Funny thing is with my experiment to see it with my own eyes, I lost a bunch of stuff I had as the server reset just before I was about to pick up my old gun and move on. Hopefully I can get back onto the server when it stops being a restarting pain and get it back before someone else takes it!

    It suits it when there's a good bit of moon, as I had when playing today, kinda enjoyed the feeling like I was out and about in the Irish countryside on a moonlit night. When there isn't a moon about and it seems pretty cloudy, as the past couple of weeks of experimental seem to have been for me most of the time, or just a starry night, it'd be nice to have a little more darkness and then pitch-black for the thick cloud nights

    Spotted some ruined clothes and an empty ammo box in the middle of the road near Lopatino. I guess someone had a bad time. Also, don't know whether it was lag or I happened across a bit of respawning loot right in front of my eyes but a wool coat appeared right in front of me in a house while taking a drink in Pavlovo. I thought it might have been someone else's coat going backwards along their trip while they swapped to something else just ahead, but there was nobody else around from the looks of it. Granted hearing the pop of a can right in my ear didn't help my paranoia from that point, which also is not helped with persistent loot...love that.

    When you filled a canteen from a well, wasn't it the dunking it in the water animation even in experimental before today? Just noticed it's now holding it out like when you're collecting rain. Don't know whether it's a bug for me either but I can't open my inventory when I'm performing the drinking animation straight from the well.

    Persistent storage will be implemented Monday or Tuesday most likely. Atm, everything is persistent, but if an item is stored inside a tent or box, the item inside disappears on restart. So once that's fixed, tents should be in experimental early next week

    Found a splitting axe within 30 seconds of spawning, every hit on a zombie has registered, no matter the angle or movement. Then again, I didn't use a splitting axe on the previous broken hit box update so I hope it's fixed for other melee weapons too.... Found a lot of decent loot off the bat, though I near shat meself when one zed walked through the barn door towards me, then another. Then two. Then another. Then a hopper. All within like 3 seconds. No doubt would have died if melee was as borked as previously.

    I can't believe that all loot (except those inside containers until next week) will be persistent. That is so much more than I ever expected to get anytime soon when persistence was due to be first implemented on the roadmap. Really, this seems such a huge change so if it is indeed without any performance issues I just can't wait to see how gameplay changes for some people and what interesting situations people come across or create with the mechanic. At the very least I might actually find a note now, or might create one knowing it'll just...be there!

    I'd like a tiny bit more of a chance of finding a knife or blade of some sort for hunting purposes, otherwise I'm somewhat happy with the way things have turned out. Hopefully the team will have the data available of what's been looted and what gets left so when they do tuning and balancing it'll add this sort of feel all the time. Luckily, I'm fully energised and hydrated even though I haven't found new food for ages. I would like to apologise, though, to anyone who may come across places on hardcore servers and think they've lucked out with finding an unlooted area due to my tendency to close all doors only to find nothing useful and end up a few minutes closer to starvation. Well, I'm not really sorry but tough break.

    I've had two loud gunshots in the past half hour sound like they're right next to me with nobody around, including visible muzzle flash over a zombie I just killed for the first "gunshot". My heart can't take this.
