I've always found them in the blue medic buildings. Ironically I never feel like looting the hospitals since the just have like 3 medical items spread across a huge building, but I'm sure I've found morphine there recently. DayzDB is pretty wonky and "alpha" at the moment, especially since spawns are constantly changing.

Need Medical Assistance in DayZ SA ? Find Your medic here!
Phoenix777 replied to TMWMarijke's topic in General Discussion
No problem, it was my pleasure to help you in your time of need. I was just lucky to be in the right area at the right time. At first I thought my hardcore character was still in the north west, but then I remembered I moved it over to the north east the day before. I'm just glad everything went smoothly. :) if you still need help, head over to the teamspeak at: ts.tmwdayz.com Also for best results, some idea on location and what mode you're playing on will help. Even just a general area or description can help. If you don't know where you are that's fine, the members on the teamspeak can help you pinpoint where you are. Location helps those responding know if they can get to you in a decent amount of time. For instance with dancing bear I saw his post shortly after he made it and I had to go to work in an hour and 20 minutes but since I knew I was real close to him I managed to contact him, get to his last location, and heal him in under 30 minutes. Depending on your situation you may also want to check Merino's videos here. If you aren't actively losing blood from an injury/ailment or can't function well due to severely low blood/health then just eating food and drinking will help you slowly regain blood and health once you are light green energized, and at least dark green hydrated in your inventory screen. The videos in the link or consulting a TMW member on teamspeak can give you more indepth info. -
Check Merino's videos here for an indepth explanation of the health system: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/159251-merinos-in-depth-video-guides-feb-11th-updated-to-034115106-new-status-indicators-rebalancing-of-hunger-thirst-stomach-blood-and-health-reg/ Basically the black and white is blood loss, the blurriness is health loss. Health can only be healed after having full blood. Energized and hydrated slowly refill blood, but health is only refilled if you have bright green energized and at least dark green hydrated. Rice is good for getting energized if you aren't already full, but it takes away some water from you as we'll. your best bet is to eat some rice until you're energized and then drink from a water pump until your stomach is full. Cans, and fruit are good for a little bit of water and energy, you only have to watch out for rotten food and make sure dry food doesn't make you thirsty.

Why do some players do everything possible to avoid interaction?
Phoenix777 replied to mithrawndo's topic in General Discussion
But, uhh you die if you logout while unconscious or handcuffed. He was both of those, so yeah....he's dead. As for how to get people to cooperate, I imagine giving up a little power might help as does the approach. Like instead of: "We have you surrounded, drop your gun!" Try: " Hey man don't get all jumpy, go ahead, take some cover and hear me out..." From there you tell them that you have some guys with you and that for everyone's safety you want him to keep his gun on his back, and that you won't hurt him as long as he doesn't do anything weird. Now if he's still not saying anything or he's walking around trying To find your guys then you might have a problem. At this point you have to decide if its worth trying to be civil with this guy (ie: are you safe from outside threats like his friends or random people coming along, are you busy trying to get somewhere, are you in a social mood, are you willing to risk losing your gear for this interaction.) Lets just assume you are willing to give this guy a chance still. You could name off your friends with you and if you feel it's safe even have them pipe in with a " hey" or something. This 1: let's them know you're serious about him being surrounded, and 2: shows trust by revealing names, and possibly locations.. Only other thing I can think of off the top of my head is just let them know that you don't care if they have no mic, don't feel comfortable talking, or if they're a kid, woman, or foreign. -

Phoenix777 replied to mithrawndo's topic in General Discussion
You did explain to him how to talk? Or even type if the case may be? You never know, he could have been new to the game, ran south along the coast and eventually made it to Balota without ever seeing another player. Also could have been anxiety, I mean I have social anxiety and one of my first 5 or so players I met when starting the game was a hero asking me if I needed anything. I was on the coast, I had nothing to lose, he displayed no aggression, and... I logged out because I was having a panic attack over the pressure to talk to him. Ironically I like DayZ for the social aspect, so if anyone asks me to surrender and I really am at a disadvantage I will surrender, and see what they have to say... most of the time its an immediate bullet to the head, and the other times they open with insults: " Hey bitch, stop right there" ( I play as the black female) So in those cases I just run away or fight back if I can. I have talked to people, but usually its friends who I met outside the game first( forums, or work) and other times its in situations where I'm in the middle of helping someone, I need help, or I have the upper hand. My first significant interaction with someone was a girl that was really afraid I was a hostile when I was bleeding and attempting to help a guy that broke his legs. I killed the zombies chasing her, asked her to bandage me, and then told her what I was doing before we parted ways. More recently there was the "story time" here where I ran away from a guy shooting, holed up in a two story building, shot at him as he came up, and then listened to him joke around and try to creep me out. I threw some morphine down to him and let him know it was there. I was more afraid of running and getting killed and he seemed kind of cool so I talked to him... I guess what I'm saying is that if you aren't in a compromised position.... like in the middle of an airfield as you were, maybe just let them have a few minutes to think it over as you talk to them. -

Marijke responded to a similar question a few posts above. Basically you can ask some people on the teamspeak or post a topic on the TMW trading forum. One item thats almost always in demand is blood test kits since they're so rare, saline and morphine are also good , if a bit more common. -
Just to clarify some things... 1: the way he phrased it I think he meant the first part of the post as an entirely different situation separate from the following part. 2: why would you need to kill a handcuffed guy for his gear? You can access the inventory of handcuffed players. You could have just took all that you wanted and then placed whatever might be a threat to you on his friends body and then hid the body.

I was wearing the perfect little "friendly dress" recently. Tan tactical shirt, beige cargo pants, hard hat, purple backpack, pink shoes, pick axe, shotgun.. Basically a calming inconspicuous tan along with some girly colored accessories ... Still got shot at by two people while fighting zombies. *story time in spoilers* As for the backpack, I imagine with the improvised backpack that some newbies might kill you for it or want to ask you how you got it, and some more experienced players may be wary of you since they know you aren't some newb that just started playing today.... Though that might also make them think you're more level headed and into the experience of the game... I dunno it's a risk either way. I know one friendly player who said he just drops his back pack and runs away if he ever comes across someone that just try's to kill him. I mean you can get new stuff, and it should distract the greedy bandits enough to keep you alive... Maybe even leave some funny/friendly notes In your backpack for when you do this. Of course this doesn't really work for snipers though that shoot you before you can even respond, but people like that tend to not care what you're wearing.

Hilariously enough, I recently came across a north map and a south map just sitting side by side on a desk in a police station... Instant map right there, end quest! :-DAlso just randomly came across a Pristine press vest and then a pristine riders jacket in experimental before they took the servers down.

DayZ - Just a Game? Or also a pretty cool Social Experiment?
Phoenix777 replied to TheDoctorInDayz's topic in General Discussion
Awwww no ones ever called my black lady character "baby girl" all I get called is b****, and n*****. Which brings an interesting point; no one except for the trolls has ever assumed that I am black or a woman which means they're either psychopaths who are trying to distance themselves from the fact that they're being an ass to real people, or they're really immersed in the game and are treating it as reality.... Or you know just trolls being trolls. Most likely it's the last one, but you know it's all about perspective. As for the rape thing... Unfortunately you see these kind of jokes all the time. Rape is a serious issue, but people often often joke about serious issues to cope or to seem edgy. Additionally rape in some form or another is a somewhat common fantasy, and there's nothing wrong with that as long as it remains a fantasy between consenting adults. So yeah, people are going to do weird shit no matter what... DayZ just provides a lot of masochistic and sadistic gameplay tools so you see it a lot more then you would in say a random shooter. Just wait until they allow you to handcuff yourself; you'll see a lot of handcuffed people begging to be punished. And just imagine the mods..... -

Can somone please kill me in Berenzino?
Phoenix777 replied to nurdseprem's topic in General Discussion
You could always get a medic to help you: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/160262-need-medical-assistance-in-dayz-sa-find-your-medic-here/ Their teamspeak is usually the best way to get help. It shouldn't take too long to get help from them since that is fairly well trafficked area. -
So, the UN beret would be super friendly? I don't know... For me the way to tell if someone is friendly is if they choose style over functionality. The people wearing wool coats, cargo jeans, and berets when they COULD feasibly be a fully kitted GI Joe. And berets are a great example of this because they're fairly rare (spawns at military basses and sometimes barns) and they're completely useless.

The story of the house that moved.
Phoenix777 replied to harvest (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
If anything it'd be the "disappearing house." There's three in the area. One by the fire station, one behind the supermarket, and one at the outskirts of town by a barn. At least there were always three when I looted it. -
Steam search of "sheepdog" could have easily resolved this little feud in private.

Someone please kill me broken leg, stuck inside a house
Phoenix777 replied to Someryguy10 (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Hmm... Solnichny Factory? (alt picture) map any of that look familiar? The blue house should be a medic outpost which has a decent chance of having morphine. How are you stuck? Also you could try calling a medic group.. try the teamspeak at: ts.tmwdayz.com -
If you don't mind waiting a bit you could try here: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/186814-sunnyrayz-sunshine-stockhold/ I'm helping him change up the format, so the topic should be updated tonight and he'll be on to help you. He does have 1 key listed in his trading stock, and he's been helping out TMW for a few weeks so it'd be a bit safer than dealing with a random. Just another option to consider... I would help you but I currently don't have any keys.

DayZ Experimental | More people are silent and do not want to talk?
Phoenix777 replied to theswedishcathead's topic in General Discussion
I just tried experimental last night and noticed this as well, doesn't bother me much since I'm too anxious to speak like 90% of the time. It's weird though, because the server had like 40-50 people in it, but from solnichny, to berenzino, to Svetlojarsk, to "yephar nonrha" I only came across like 6 guys... Did they add the west coast spawns back in with experimental, or what? Lets see. Saw 2 guys from the solnichny factory. One never saw me, the other just ran from me until we reached the next village where I lost him. One guy killed by a zombie north west of the berenzino construction site, and one guy by the school flipping off a zombie as it killed him. The next three guys were at the school, the berenzino PD, and the Svetlojarsk PD. I broke all their legs with 2 shotgun blasts because they attacked me on site. ( the shotgun is very good at this I've found out. It's a great pacifier for KoS people that don't yet have guns) the first guy said hello(voice chat) and immediately attacked. He died before I could do anything for him. The second guy asked me to kill him after I broke his legs (text chat) and then apologized when I dropped some morphine, rags, and a canteen for him. I told him it was no problem, he gave me some rice and we went our deprecate ways Before Svetlojarsk I met a new spawn in berenzino sitting watching the sunset. He got up and left after a little bit saying nothing. The Svetlojarsk guy said nothing even after breaking his legs. I had no morphine so I offered to kill him, but he still said nothing, just kept trying to box me in to the small medic outpost. I axed him once, he began to bleed and the server reset so it probably didn't go through. Hopefully he found some morphine on the next server. After rejoining the server I found an excited man proclaiming that there was a crossbow in the police station(voice chat) after I found it he disappeared. The last guy I saw entering a barn so I rushed up on him. We text chatted "hello" and then traded. He gave me a bolt and wanted 22 ammo, but I had none. I said thanks and we went our separate ways. So overall it was 3 hostile ( one possibly out of fear) 2 friendly And 2 possibly scared With 1 friendly voice 1 hostile voice 1 friendly text 1 hostile mute And 2 neutral/scared mutes. It's not even like I was running from place to place. The last two guys had guns so I didn't try to stick around or find them, but the rest of them I tried to find after they wandered off or ran away. I even ran around berenzino a few times hoping for some more interactions. Maybe it's some kind of odd niche. The COD 12 year olds can't figure out how to do experimental, the serious DayZ vetrens don't want to risk wasting their time losing everything to stupid bugs on experimental( or they have a bunch a friends they play with on stable.) So experimental is for all the geeky technical anti social people who want to find bugs. -

Best to find a safe place, log out and go to the TMW team speak at: ts.tmwdayz.com from there they can start heading your way. if you go unconscious though don't log out. logging out while unconscious will kill you -
Well if it was a small server you may be able to find them under " recent players" in steam.

Phoenix777 replied to Poggle's topic in General Discussion
hmm I must have missed that part, and the part about "killing them all"Considering he called them fresh spawns, I'm guessing they weren't that well equipped, so two army men could still have a psychological effect on a bunch of rag-tag freshies with bats and garden hoes. They could have also thought you were one of those "bandit cults" that hold people up and force them to do some arbitrary thing ( take off their pants most of the time ) to join the group. After a while everyone assumes that it's a group of 11 friends rushing up on them when really it's two friends and 9 strangers forced into the "cult" through a silly initiation. It's mostly harmless though since most people are just happy for the experience. Anyway.... Most likely it was just an excuse to KOS. like using someone's voice, age, nationality, or player model as an excuse to KOS -
I've heard certain rocks are bugged and cause you break your legs or fly off and die. Also stairs and ladders can be pretty risky, always walk on stairs. Now when you die or go unconscious you should be able to press escape and then select "respawn." Sometimes the respawn freezes for me too, but exiting the server and rejoining fixes it. The bug where broken legs were fixed by logging out has been fixed, so no luck there. Also, next time you break your legs or need any kind of medical help check the pinned topic on this forum. They can help you and will provide you with any information you need on the medical system or precautions to take.

Phoenix777 replied to Poggle's topic in General Discussion
Well, did they kill everyone, or just you two? What did the fresh spawns say to them? I mean it could well be that it looked like you had a trail of prisoners you were forcing to sing under threat of death, broken legs, torture. -
Broken leg changing to slot 2 weapon when in inventory
Phoenix777 replied to M1shap's topic in General Discussion
Uh, I once slid through the wall and fell outside the building when I crouched next to the bunks once... Fortunately I didn't do anything to me. Most likely it's an animation bug, sometimes the animations make you move in a way that maybe the game normally wouldn't allow you to and thus you clip through buildings.
