like the most say use bootcamp, its really easy to install, just google it there are plenty of tutorials and dont forget to install all the drivers correctly because if you dont do that then there is a big change that windows will not run very good.

Great news, I hope the dayz team and BI can make it to a good product but I think they will, in 3 months over a million players for a buggy mod? this is gonna be so popular when its done. Cant wait..

Yes, it can get a bit boring after a while but maybe you need to stop playing for a while and try some other mods or games. I hope when it will become a standalone game its going to be more fun and more a challenge to survive, I dont know what bohemia interactive and dean hall have in mind to do with this mod or standalone game but I hope they will add mission, safety zones, rare items to get etc. etc. I dont know if you had arma 2 already or that you bought it to play dayz, if you only bought it for dayz then maybe you should have done some more research on the features of this mod. for now I can say, try to find a tent so you can gather vehicle parts, meet up with other people ( even if you are a lonewolf ) and repair vehicles so you can be king of the server :) ( for as long as it will last ) Good luck

Hello fellow gamers, I want to build a PC but I have no experience with this but with all the tutorials on the web and some help of a friend Im confident that I can put it all together. The hard part for me is to get a good overview of which hardware I need to buy, Like which is a good motherboard and videocard and if they are compatible, do I need to get a intel or AMD CPU, what coolers should I get etc. Im a average gamer and for me its not a must that I can run games on the highest settings but it would be nice if I could play games like arma2, battlefield 3 on medium settings and that I build a pc that is good enough for the upcoming 3 years if possible. Now the last thing is maybe hard to tell because you never know what there will be on the market in 3 years. My budget is round 700 to 800 euros with no screen included, let I put it as this: my budget for pc and screen is 1000 euros. Maybe this is not to good forum for this but can someone make me a list of parts that I could buy and maybe give me some advice. already a big thanks and sorry for my english

Simjedi, you are right, I'm trying to get rid of the argument that macs are bad for gaming, now games are made standard for windows but if some day they will make them standard for mac then the they will run better. Like the Valve games are also for mac now and they run much better on a mac then on a windows pc with similar specs

If you use windows 7 with bootcamp then it will run pretty well, my brother just got his mac pro 16gb and he plays games like battlefield 3,sky rim etc. and those games run pretty good. people that says macs are bad for gaming have never used a mac I think, I use apple for over 10 years now and for gaming they are not weaker then a pc than runs on windows, in fact the software of apple make better use of the hardware, microsoft and linux doesn't deny this.

It is possible to change your name, I think it is in the option menu, in there should be a profile menu where you can change your name

I play DayZ for a couple of days now and played on several servers. I play on dutch and luxenburg servers mostly because of the good connection. On these servers (NL18,LU91 etc.) its hard to find loot but you find enough to survive but when I play on NL11 it is easy to find specific items like weapons,ammo,soda's and canned food but it is pretty hard to find items like a hunting knife, hatchet, maps etc. When I play on NL114 its it very very hard to find items, I died a lot of times because I did not find food and water, guns are hard to find and ammo even harder. The only thing you find a lot are hatchets, on this server I found 8 to 12 of them in 45 min. Also on this server lot of the buildings are empty, the super market in Polana was completely empty, not even empty cans!! Now my question is: is loot server related or are servers like NL114 bugged??
