Great point about the infection, but what's the advantage of hunting and cooking a meal compared to drinking a few cans of soda? It would have to have some sort of bonus or disadvantage to soda and other foods.

I think it should remain so that you don't see how much ammo is in a gun with an internal magazine. It should be up to you to remember how much you've shot.

I agree that rocks shouldn't be necessary for a camp fire. I think fires will become an interesting part of gameplay once implemented, because there will be a risk factor of attractive zombies/players because of smoke during the day time, and light during the night time, making it risky to light a fire outdoors or uncovered. I also think that fires at night should deter aggressive animals like wolves so that you can take a few minutes to cook/organize with a lower chance of being attacked.

When you log out, a ghost of your character stays in the server and sits down for 30 seconds before disappearing. People and zombies are able to kill this ghost, this is to prevent people from "combat logging" (logging out in the middle of a fight). Make sure you aren't followed by a person or a zombie and find a nice safe place. Usually upstairs of a building or in a forest will protect you from zombies.

New glitch or could we never loot bodies that fell?

If you're with a mate and want your loot back, get them to pick up and drop everything on the ground. Items stay on the ground forever, bodies do not. -
I completely agree that the zombies are and should be infected living rather than animated dead. But if they're infected with a rage virus... Wouldn't they have all killed each other?

Luckily I still have my old PC desktop to play games on, although I 100% agree that a Mac version should be tested during beta.

I'd like to see Zeds agro onto animals/feasting on animal carcasses.

The amount of times I've mistaken a military zombie for a player in the distance... I don't see why it wouldn't work the other way around.

I believe this is the point. It's something everyone would have to master, just like a survivor in a zombie apocalypse.

I actually think this is a great idea. It sort of reminds me of Gears of War's fast-reload mechanic, except you have to do it 3 times (get the timing of each key perfect for the fastest reload) and it also reflects reality better. Great suggestion.

I actually think they should, and I'm saying very far down the line (beta once all features are implemented) add a lot of gestures like this. Dean has said that they were going to add a lot more gestures and allow the player to assign whichever ones they find the most useful or desired. (only 12 F keys etc) -

If you have killed it already but it isn't working, don't forget to hit "Default" in the character menu once you've made your character. -
Yes, but no. Not an MMO style level-up with unlocking new skills, but rather a hidden xp system that allows you to develop your survivor's skills. For example, repeated use of bandages will result in quicker application of bandages and possibly the use of less bandages (10% instead of 25%, maybe.) A system like this has already been confirmed by Dean himself.

Very informative stuff. With the release of the Sporter .22 and the Amphibia S pistol, you'll be able to do tests on ballistic absorbtion, correct? A headshot from the Amphibia S only knocks players/zombies out so I'm assuming it does a lot less damage.

I can see bows as being a useful tool when hunting or to take out the occasional zombie. They're practically silent and a broadhead arrow to the chest/heart area will cause a typical cowboy to bleed out within a few seconds. -

You can see his gun at 3:50. It is clearly an SKS with a bayonet. He was definitely shooting more than 10 rounds without reloading. I would say this is an instance of hacking. -
I think for the purposes of Alpha testing it's very appropriate. If you die completely randomly out of nowhere, it would be good to know if it was an exploiter, a falling damage bug or a legitimate sniper.

Good shooting, a lot of people tend to crack under pressure when someone charges at them.

I've found them every now and then in barns, but I ALWAYS find them in the little sheds with one big square door and another normal door. Usually find moto helms and sticks. You could also try going to a school, office or hospital to look for morphine.

By making the beginning harder, K'sOS will be thinking "Hey I should be a mega-prick and send this player that has just gained his health so he has to spend even more time to regain it" K'sOS are looking to make your day worse, so I'd say making spawning more difficult is more of an incentive for them.
