Why not just cut off a dead player's head and put it on a stick?

So if you're a bandit and you heal your bandit friends, and you all heal each other, then you all get a hero skin. If you're a hero, and kill bandits, you get the bandit skin. I don't think so.

I'm a hardcore only person, although if I feel like dicking around as a fresh spawn trying to kill everyone I play regular. I seem to fit in that way.

I love the idea actually. The bodies would be containers, like the lootable fridge that Dean talked about in the last devlog video. I think the bodies should be randomly placed (by having heaps of spots they can spawn but only spawn in a few, similar to how loot is generated) and then random loot inside each body. The loot inside could also respawn like how normal loot will respawn. To give it an even better touch, the containers could be like actually dead bodies in the game and have separate slots for pants/shirt/pack etc. And the clothing should be lootable, and should also respawn on the body.

You don't need surround headphones, your ears basically hear in stereo anyway. You can tell where a sound source is coming from with slight tilts of your head (tilts side to side to determine up or down and look to your sides to determine in front or behind) Move your camera around in game and you'll be able to tell what way a sound is coming from. Also keep in mind that there are 2 sounds associated with gunfire. The shot from the gun, and the bullet hitting the ground. -

I think sometimes the sitting down animation doesn't play. When my friends log out they usually sit down, then stand back up, then sit back down again so there's evidence of animation problems. Have you tried watching one of your friends log out to confirm that it's a bug? -
So experimental and stable are the same build?

Is the EXP build any different to the Stable at the moment? I haven't checked up in a few days, since .42 went to stable.

Has been suggested before, but it is a good idea. I'm not sure how powerful they are, but I'm assuming shooting someone in the leg would make it very hard to walk? They should implement staggering and temporary "leg breaks" (spraining your ankle or leg wound)

So I saw h0nkX post this image in the 0.42 thread: It looks like crossbows may be here sooner than we think. I also an image of an object list in the latest build including potatoes, green peppers and pumpkins. Do you think there will be an advantage to cooking full meals? Do you think that bows and crossbows will be viable in the game outside of hunting? Do you think there should be a lot of aggressive animals? What animals are even in Czech/Chernarus? Do you think people will actually use the Bow/Crossbow/Amphibia S/Sporter 22 to hunt without attracting attention? What sort of crafting recipes would you like to see around the hunting aspect of the game? And lastly... Where the hell are we supposed to find enough rocks to make a fireplace? Discuss.

I agree with you, but one of the devs posted a screenshot of him actually testing the xbow so it's nearer than we expect. Edit: this one.

Reloading Estimation Instead of Exact Number

I was thinking the same thing. No numbers in the inventory at all. Maybe have icons for bullets that go 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5-10, 10-20, 20-40 so that you have a rough guess of how much is in a stack? And you'd just load as many as possible into a magazine or clip and know that it's full. -
Maybe "persistent loot" means that loot will stay after server refreshes, and loot will spawn back periodically? I'mk sure they're working on it because they;ve implemented a rough version of zombie respawning already.

Yeah I hope they do add benefits from eating healthy, although a lot of people would complain that the game is turning into a "Diet and exercise simulator" once it gets too complicated (too much sugar, not enough iron, scurvy etc)

Anyone know when the Exp servers will be back up? The DayZ Dev 123 server is at version 42.116170, so I'm guessing they're fixing the 'session lost' errors?
