So this is what every single server I have jumped to tonight looks like. Just FYI I normally only play on one specific private server, but tonight I decided to server hop publics just to see if I could find some of the gear I'd never seen in game yet. I love loot as much as the next guy, but I can't wait until this is fixed. Also just realized that I didn't even screen shot the 3,469 AK's laying around the prison. Like, you can't take two steps without seeing an AK, a shotgun or a Makarov. But clips for literally anything? Nowhere. No-fucking-where to be found!

Happened to come across a Heli crash on the far side of Veresnik hill while making my way to Vybor military base, unfortunately no loot. Some random instinct made me check out Veresnik through my bino's and low and behold I catch sight of some little mug lining me up with his Mosin. I sprint to a bush just as a shot cracks into the dirt next to me. Now I'm packing an AK74 with no optics, and this guy is just a speck and clearly has an LRS so I decide to make a run in the opposite direction. Sprint into the creek to my left without another shot being heard. So I crouches there and look back through the bino's and this Muppet is still laying there looking at the bush I was in. Flanking time! So I make my way up the creek slowly, up the side of Veresnik and down into the bushes where he's prone, still looking for me down his sights. So I sneak right up behind him and put a half a clip into him as he panics. :D Turns out he actually had an AKM. What kind of mug takes pot shots at someone 500m away with no optics? I didn't get much off his body. He had a .357 and a .45 and some rounds, but I already have a Makarov with 3 clips so I nicked the silencer off his 1911. I also nicked his AK, since he had more clips and ammo than me and I like the idea of a fully automatic SKS. :P Then I wander into Vybor and first thing I find is a fully kitted MP5 - silencer, optics, pristine grip and stock - just laying in the hallway of the first barracks. Happy Dayz!

So uhhh... I found some loot. In fact I found so much loot that my game lagged out and crashed... After this happened every server in my list jumped to 150+ ping. :|

More crafted weapons: Knife + Tape + Sticks = Spear. Bat or Plank + nails = Club Spraypaint/Gas canister + tape + matches/lighter = IED Animal hide + Animal sinew + sticks = bow Flint + Sticks = Improvised Axe Old school military sabers. Bayonets that work. More pistols (civ variants of all calibers) and civ weapons like rifles and shotguns, lots less military gear. I think military gear should be so hard to find that when you finally do spot that pristine MP5 or AK, it's like all your dreams have come true.

I've been finding 10 round stripper clips and boxes of rounds everywhere. Weird. Found two stripper clips just sitting in one of those green gun houses.

Alright so on a serious note, I've finally found 2 mags. 1 for an AKM... of which there have been ZERO in all my server hopping adventures. And one for an MP5... now... the weird thing is, that I did find an MP5... but apparently the MP5 mag doesn't fit the MP5... just refuses to slot in there. Both MP5 and mag are pristine. Can someone enlighten me?

Gah... and I fell for it. Now I feel dirty.

It's hard to visualize abandoned bases when you walk into a barracks and see 60 AK's stacked one on top of the other like some crazy game of Murder-Jenga.

Well, I was freezing to death from my swim over... So I did the unthinkable and BURNED THEM ALL.

What a coincidence! Stealthing the snipers on veresnik who are sniping the hoppers in Vybor is my main go to for high end loot! It's the ciiiiiircle of liiiiiiiiife!

I didn't even know they were in the game! I was cautiously making my way through Cherno, fully geared, looking for some light PvP or maybe a bambi to help move off the coast. Decided to check the police station, just in case. I'm walking up the steps to the front door and there's what looks like a portable gas stove sitting right there in the open. I just shrug it off thinking someones picked it up and dropped it, go to walk inside and BOOM - You are dead. Beware of 'portal gas stoves' sitting in conspicuous doorways! :P

I had a great day. First I shot someone in [redacted]. He fired first and broke my leg, but then I got him with my PM. Then I spent 45 minutes crawling around until I could find the stuff for a splint, lol. Then I found a tent! Set up my first camp: And after a few raids on local I picked up some sweet loots. Got a kitted Engraved 1911 (only missing a mag), Blaze, PM73 with 15rnd mag, two pristine helmets, pristine LRS and PU and a couple of sets of binocs: This one's technically from yesterday, but picked up a few chicks in Zeleno: Chances are my pretty little campsite will be gone by tomorrow. It's really well hidden I think - you can't see it from any angle and it's far away from any major area... but I'm expecting it to glitch out and disappear! :P

I noticed a bunch of lootsplosions in those little grey/green kiosks that dot the cities. Specifically the ones with shelving inside had just a crapton of items on the shelves. Never seen that before Wednesday's maintenance.

Surely the patch itself is going to sort that problem by wiping all the servers? They'd be pretty silly to roll the patch onto servers with existing loot and then try and figure out the data after that. I assume at some point things like tents etc will survive patching but at this stage you're probably gonna need to pack up your tent and everything too. The only things that will survive will be what's on your character at the time. Disclaimer: The above post is pure speculation and should in no way be taken as a statement of facts. Might be a whitelist server. I tried to join one the other day and it gave me that message, plus an additional one saying where to apply for whitelist status.

Australian server bud, you're safe. :p I imagine any mines that spawn in Cherno are immediately placed at crossroads/police station/fire station etc.

I can run Battlefield 4 on Ultra at 1080p 60fps smooth in the middle of the heaviest firefight but I can't walk through Cherno without my PC having an aneurysm. I need all the frames I can get, so you can have some beans. :P

I ran from Berezino almost all the way to Elektro before I starved to death. Flat out sprinted without stopping. I didn't die of exhaustion from sprinting at full pace for 30 minutes. I died of starvation. There needs to be some sort of exhaustion mechanic implemented at some point. Not saying right now, but some time down the track you shouldn't be able to sprint from one side of Chernarus to the other without literally dropping dead of a heart attack.

I've seen the bear traps. I enjoy setting them up in blind spots. One day I'm gonna go on a bambi trapping mission. :p

Had a grand old wander through the apocalypse today and had some fun. First I found this old relic. Then I my feet took me to a certain military base where I found some gunz. Then I found an unexpected treasure next to a beautiful view. And finally I took a cruise through Zeleno and picked up some chicks! All in all, it was a good day.
