Think the level of detail you're looking for would be too hard to implement, but I think they could do something simpler. Just basic footprints that fade after a minute or two (or a certain number of steps by the player who left them, say 50ish).

Went right through most of the big apartments in both Dubky and Novoselky and none of them had loot beyond the odd pair of shoes or a shirt. Avoid. I am assuming it's similar right the way across the map at the moment.

I don't really see the issue with boiling or using purification tablets? So far I haven't had one time in this game where I couldn't get to a clean water source. Perhaps if they make it so you need to drink more often (especially while jogging long distance) these things might come into play.

You're in Poland and I am in Australia mate. Different regions. I could connect to those servers, but at like 400ms ping.

Yep, down for that... Not sure I agree with the loot being really rare though. I don't think that fits with a civilian safehouse. I think they should just be good caches for food/ammo/water and medicine with some regular weapons like shotguns, pistols and blaze 95's. Maybe a very, very rare M4 or other military loot.

As I said earlier in this thread it's not so simple. There are exactly 2 hardcore servers that show up when I search and neither of them ever have more than 4 - 5 players on them. If you're lucky enough to have heaps of populated hardcore servers in your region, yay for you... but I get the shaft if I want to actually play with other people and yes, it pisses me off. So basically myself and anyone else in my immediate region (and I am very sure other regions too) are forced to play at a big disadvantage.

Oh yeah I get you, don't get me wrong, I just don't think it's as rampant as people are making out. Perhaps it's just the servers I play on. Maybe I am in the minority.

More content like this will be coming, bet on it. Remember that the game is only 20% finished at the moment. What devs usually do is get a lot of the content into the game and then bug fix like crazy. The patches that come for the next 6 months will contain a huge amount of content I am betting.

Log into your regular server. When it tells you, "You are dead/unconscious." hit respawn and then log out. Go to the server list and set the filter to search for servers with 1000 ping. Log into a server with the highest ping you can find. You should respawn as normal on this server. Log out and back into your regular server. This should fix the problem. It has worked for me every time so far.

Military bases and airfields. One run last night I found 3 fully loaded single mags and 2 empty double mags.

Oh so like I said - easy mode. Your argument is - "It's easier to see in 3pp therefore it's harder to play on a 3pp server." No. It's easier to kill people cheaply on a 3pp server. It's far harder to play and be good at the game in 1pp.

Your picture illustrates exactly why 3pp is easy mode. And guess what - the fourth square approaching the 3 campers has a vision radius the same as the 3 campers making it quite easy to spot them and avoid or engage them.

Same. They've made this amazing game with a great atmosphere and is one of the most immersive games I've played for a while and then you just hit 'Enter' and annihilate any semblance of the 'authenticity' the devs keep talking about with a magic, corner-peeking eye-in-the-sky. So crap.

I'd rather they keep it so you have to put it down personally, although with the amount of bugs with dropping stuff at the moment it might be safer just to allow us to open it for now. In the long run I think you should still have to put it down, open it and take out your ammo. Not keen on just being able to load straight from the box.

Okay sure, the core of this game is survival against the odds which includes the environment. But it's not WoW where we have endgame raids against castles full of 'bad guys'. That's what I meant when I said it's not PvE.

Let me lay this out for you - I can use 3pp as well, making it no more dangerous than it is for anyone else on the server. I can spot people over walls and around corners and behind doorways and under stairs. The only person it's harder for is the person using 1pp. Everyone using 3pp is on easy mode. 1PP I can't do ANY of that. I have to rely on listening, waiting, scouting, watching, moving slowly, stealth. On an all 1pp server, the skill and danger level is through the roof compare to 3pp. I can't just fucking look around a doorway or over a wall and see if there's anyone there like a cheap ass. Far more dangerous when you have no idea where anyone is. Death can be around every corner because you can't just cheat to check if someone is there. If you don't get that, your density level is approaching Neutron Star.

Can't hold a grudge there. Panic KoS is entirely different to pre-meditated murder. I got popped last night by someone who'd obviously been watching me for quite a long time. I never even saw him. Good on him for making the kill, but if he had of interacted with me he'd have seen I was no threat (I assume he only cares about sniping in this game though, by the way he shot me).

Your logic is entirely and completely backwards. You're last sentence entirely negates the entire paragraph above it. The only people it's harder for are the people on that server who limit themselves to 1pp vs people using 3pp. Everyone else has the advantage over any player than wants to use 1pp, like myself. 3pp servers are far, far easier for the precise reasons you listed in your paragraph. That's why regular servers are not called Hardcore servers.

Nah sorry dude, but it was a green mountain pack and it was stashed in the trees in long grass (quite well hidden, only saw it because I pretty much tripped over it), at the southern end of the airfield about 50m from the military buildings. Nice story though. :P At least I know who's pack it is if I ever find a blue one with a note in it now.
