The bullet hits to the left or i aim slightly left? im guessing if the hit mark is slightly off i would aim right of the target over 300m? thanks. Jay

i am nto quite sure with that one, i have a canteen that is currently damaged but i am still able to fill it with water. il have a look on the internet for you and il let you know :)

dont get attached to your gear, you could have easily just ran into someone and got shot, same outcome, dont go running to gear, have fun and play the game to survive.

Does anyone actually write messages on the paper? the past 4/5 times i have died, i had took with me a nice note to the bandit that shot me. but since i started playing the standalone i have wrote many massages on where i am heading or where their are guns/axes that i found while around town and left them around the streets in plain sight, but have never seen anyone else doing the same. any ideas?

how is it you read books? i have only ever been able to view the cover. or do i have to right click the book?

I remember my first few days on standalone - I would talk to everyone and maybe due to the lack of gear I wouldnt get taken often so it seemed pretty safe. Then ofcourse I started frequenting the airfields, visited electro and cherno a few times and it all changed. Now me and my mates always drop to the ground as soon as we see another player even though we have no more room for anymore gear or weapons. I also found players to be more friendly on experimental, I still remmember having a backpack an an M4 on experimental, it was at Zeleno - saw another player in full military gear with a rifle who had actually put his rifle away infront of me, waved and asked if i need anything. Holy crap. There are good people out there. Needless to say after a quick exchange of ammo and some weapon attachments we were on our way. I then attempted to do the same thing with the next person I saw and got shot instantly lol. The lesson is if you're attached to your gear then you gotta be an asshole. If you aren't attached to your stuff then you can be a good dude. i very much agree to the point made about gear, i have died many times and i seems the longer i play, the quicker i can gear myself up again. gear isn't important to me so i dont see any reason in not sacraficing myself to make a new friend.

i usually walk around with my childrens sachel, pants etc, very basic gear, all i need is 20 rounds for my mosin, abit of food and a nice spot to shoot from :D

I usually sit around electro with my mosin with my team, we usually have 3/4 snipers and 2 people on the ground helping people out, although we look like a bandit team we never shoot on sight unless we see people being held up. i found the team after countless deaths trusting other people and being back stabbed. i never get attacked to gear but always give people the benefit of the doubt, il talk before shooting and only ever retaliate.

My main bit of advice is dont get attached to your items, you will die and you will lose it all, just have fun through the game, its much better at the start when you know very little :)

It does but i have only ever found 1 piece of loot on the hospital roof in electro, it was a defibrillator

My basic route is right away check maybe 1/2 of the buildings around me, then head inland or towards a main town or city, depending on how you move around, its very easy to sneak in, loot and get out of any town or city without being seen, i have died many times but as i play longer and longer i start replacing food and drink with more valuable items. once your fully hydrated and energetic (Well fed) you dont seem to need much water or food, my current life is spanning way past 20 hours now, im currently stacking 2 pistols with rounds exceeding 150+ per gun, a sniper carried in hand with 50+ rounds in my pack and an M4 with full attachments with around 300+ rounds in 60round clips. still having room for my can opener, compass, map and other essentials. always pick up the containers and boxes if you find them, they take up 4 slots but carry 6, i currently have 4 of them which gives me an extra 8 inventory slots to use :)

When i first played the game, i met up with my brother and we seemed to roam and scavenge together. we had made it to electro and had managed to find a shotgun on the way which he took, only having 1 shot, it was used as more of a scare tactic. as i was checking out the school house (Meeting center or what ever the building is), i was on the ground floor as he took off up to the roof. We was talking on skype together and kept radio chat ingame to a minimum. I was held up by two guys, one with a pistol and one with an m4 who demanded i dropped everything before being killed. during the chat and confrontation i told them they wouldn't survive looting me before they got killed themselfs, which made the guy with the m4 approach me and threaten to kill me. My brother appeared on the stairs and used his 1shot to kill the guy with the m4 while repeating to tell his friend to drop the gun or risk being killed himself. he told us how he had no ammo in his pistol and dropped it immediately, he lay on the floor as i then looted his dead friend, we teamed with the other guy for quite sometime before he knocked my brother unconscious after he thought i disconnected which didnt work out too well as i was only in the next room. Teams are great on this game but when you have a disloyal member in your party with the wrong intentions their is only one thing you can do. Kill them... Protect your group as much as possible.

Yeah, the only problem with "looking for people" instead of coming across them is the fact that you will most likely be shot on site. I found a guy yesterday who i teamed up with and basically stayed on the run for over a hour being chased by bandits. I prefare to play in a team as i find it is more fun but the snipers cause problems hiding in towers etc picking off random players.

Im curious on what time the server has to be before daylight shows? does anyone know?

I was on a server with just me and another guy, i got killed in electro, then again in the north east airfield. then again in the south west military base... all by the same guy, haha 200+km to roam and i see the same guy 3 times in a few hours

I thought the same, then i realised if im worried about dieing and limiting myself to game content when roaming alone, their isnt much point in playing, so i ran out into cherno and electro, i have died countless times due to gun fights and standoffs but its all fun, its easy to gear back up, and its much more interesting helping new people out.
