    Now what?

    maybe in berenzino, solnichny, cherno, elektro, stary sobor and the airfields/mil bases...but you can never say where the players are. I played on full 40 slots server and met nobody, and I played on empty servers with 5 other players and met 3 of them. So you can never say. Move along the coast or inland and you will find some closed houses and loot.
  2. I never used a knife in DayZ...maybe for open cans but not for fighting zombies or players. But I would like to see butterfly knifes. The combat - and kitchen knifes take two slots in the inventory, the butterfly sould take one slot and you should have to open it in your hands before using it.

    yes, but brighter nights are not DayZ. Then you lost much of the immersion of nights... I love the pitch black nights where you have to use the flashlight or if you dont use it, you cant see anything. I think such a filter would be the best way, because with this method its no matter if you increase the brightness/gamma etc ingame or on the monitor.

    Maybe they could add one or more filters, which increase the brightness massivly or somthing like that if the contrast/brightness or gamma is too hig?! So you cant see anything. I dont know if it works. Just an idea...

    Is the item damage mechanic useful ?

    I like it too and with the "sewing kit" its perfect:-) You can fix your clothes by yourself to "worn", this is really nice. But they should add the "Wound"System from Arma3! There you can see where the player was hit (like in this picture) The case that everything is "ruined" in your jacket f.ex. is a good way. So you have to aim if you want to loot somebody after shooting him. You cant spray. F.ex. the shotgun. In rooms or other small areas its a great selfdefence weapon, but then you cant get the loot. Pros and Cons = beste way! <3 DayZ

  9. Will DayZ SA use HT on Intel-CPUs (I7/Xeon) in the future? Or is there no chance to implement that because of the engine? - thx :-)

    Yes ok, but this is in RL... In DayZ nobody would use such a truck for killing zombies... They drove over the zombies and shoot on the players from a far distance. And if there is a group of 4-6 player who defend the truck, you cant easily take it out. I know that many survivors would like to see armed vehicles, helis and maybe planes, but I think thats not the style of the game. It shouldnt be "Man vs. Machine", DayZ should be "Man vs. Man" because only then everybody have the same chance. But I think if the Team implement vehicles, they balance them the right way. I would love to see only a "few" dirtbikes, atvs, cars (like we have now as "destroyed models"), maybe UAZs and rubber rafts (with engine and/or panels). Maybe 10 working vehicles per server (40slots), but you have to search many many parts to use them. And of course they should add a technique to refuel the vehicles - like in the mod but more difficult. I dont know yet, lets see whats coming and how it works - then we will go on talking:-)
  11. I would like to see some malls with a big parking area or a parking block in Chenarus. Other places could be a theme park, swimming bath, bunkers and maybe an observatory.

    Endless running - stamina/fatigue?

    The Devs should link the sprint mechanic to the weight of your character and yes, maybe to the healthy status of the char. If you are fully geared up, you should be able to run endless but a little bit slower than a freshspawn f.ex.

    I think thats too much. They shouldnt add such powerful military stuff like motars, helis and cars with a gun on it...its not ARMA - its DayZ!
  14. I dont like the mod...the idea is good, but "popup-players/zombie" are ugly. I like it as it is now. If people want to play with a lower fov, they should play hardcore. 3rd person is very nice for spotting around corners. And this is not bad because every player can do this on regular servers, so... The Devs dont have to chance the "visible things" which you can see in 3rd person. The should fix the glitch where you can look through walls - but thats not the point. In the video the player can see every object behind the car in 3rd person, but not the playermodels/npcs, for me thats ruiend the athmosphere, when the models popup...

    Big thanks for the update. Its pretty good for me. Nice performance, only a little desyncs...New zombies are awesome :-) The new city is very nice and the "rock formations outside Svetlo" are beautiful. keep going <3
