Yes you can use the deer skin to craft a backpack. You only need a knife and the pelt. Drag the knife on the pelt and it gives you the option "craft leather sack". The sack has 20 slots. Pic:

haha how often did you wrote the same thing over and over again the last few days :D I hope you copy&paste the text...but it's nice that you try to explain it :thumbsup: and I hope more people will think about the decisions in exp. because everybody can figure it out by thinking about it...its an understandable decision! @topic: I'm exited of all these thing which are mentioned in this report - especially the "injured player" THX devs - keep going! It will be great in the end :wub:

well, Im not dead, but my situation is not better... I wanted to see if the new military base (in this exp branch) is still there - yes it is - and if there is something new/different. So I climed the ladder in the underground area directly behind the jail. I was at top of the ladder - server crash/restart... I logged me in, see my char fallen...not dead - healthy, geared! But, I can get out, the ladder is too far away :D

This would be awesome. I love to play the game at night and this would be a nice eyecatcher. Maybe we could see some falling stars in the future, too?

In the end I hope they dont make two different games. The game itself should be a hardcore challenge to survive a day. No matter if its first person or third person (this should be the only difference)

yes, on the one hand its a "realistic" idea, but on the other hand you could never kill yourself as a new spawn - with this method - for a better spawn place. Because you have to hold a gun with a bullet in it. And till you find a gun and a bullet you have enough stuff to survive or meet your friend(s). Maybe they could add more ways to commit suicide, f.ex. hang yourself with a rope, but its is useful? I doubt it...(as a real gameplay mechanic, if you are trapped in a bug or something like that - yes, than its useful to have an option with nothing that you need to do it.) soo, for me its not an important thing. But, if they add suicide options, its also nice to have.

I had a very nice encouter this evening. It was a really interessting. I moved to Severograd and met a guy in the streets of the city. He didnt speak english - only a few words. I said "hello". His first word was "water" and I knew there is a well near the road. So we drank and I gave him some food. He was thankful but he cant put it in (english) word :) He wanted to know where the new base is, said some words in russian and the word "bunker". Then I knew what he means and we went up north to the military base. Finally we arrive at the base. He was very exited and explored every building, climed down a ladder and looked at every detail. He said some words in russian again and "nice, nice" :D We left the area, went back to Severo. Then I said "goodbye"... (its MotoGP time :thumbsup: ) [And I have to say that we found a Blaze for him (he had ammo) and he didnt shoot me!] For me, this is more fun than shooting people. There are many friendly survivors out there. This is not my first friendly encounter, but one of the most interessting ones. Because, on the one hand we cant talk to each other (only a few words) and one the other hand we had the gestures, which is complicated but doable. So, what I wanted to say was, try to be friendly and have the most beautiful encouters you will ever find in a video game :) You wont regret the deaths!

sign :thumbsup: You are right! I like your idea. Till I found a fishing hook and a rope, I am energized and healthy... Ropes, knifes, fishing hooks should be more common. Spearfishing would be a good addition :)

Dear survivors, I want to share my little camp with you :thumbsup: Its on DayZ DE 0-2 (experimental/testing) server; coordiantes 077 113 I collected some stuff as you can see on the screen. Everyone is welcome :) You can go fishing or cook some meat and have a nice time. Please, dont steal anything! We are all survivors...we all want to live... I hope we have good times together and maybe we will meet us at the camp. PS: Would be awesome you leave a note or a useful item there, that I know you were here.

hey guys :) whats up? I was fishing and met another survivor at the campsite yesterday evening. this is "Knuffi" He didnt know something about the camp, he was looking for some water and saw me fishing. So he asked me what I am doing here and I told him the little story. I gave him some cooked fish, he gave me a rope and we had a small talk. He was a friendly guy and said he will come back...maybe^^ @Shrub Rocketeer: Where are you? I am waiting for you :)
