""The first is dynamic loot respawning. The way I understand this is that if a certain item or item type is repeatedly looted from a building or a cluster of buildings, (town?) that item will begin to respawn and be found in different locations around the map with greater frequency than it will in the original location."" Are the new locations fixed or random?
-
Could be fun. ""use his belly"" yeah, no.
-
Look for wall glitch. It's all over the place.

Are they serious with these new pistol spawns?
mgc replied to Rick1633's topic in General Discussion
I think his question is legit: ""I constantly find the new pistols in the Berezino school house/ office and in the two Berezino piano houses, but never ever find mags there."" ""can i find magazines in berezino?"" Logic dictates there is a high probability. Survive and gather much loot. -
Known bug. Proceed to graveyard.

Is looting a prerequisite for fun or is looting itself fun? -
About walking through walls: It would be awesome if the Z were delayed by walls with an animation or 2 (bust wall, walk through gap). This would increase immersion, give players the time to feel the fear, make Z more Z-like and eliminate the need for complex path finding.
-
most intense walking simulator ever. more junk, less loot. all you can eat. be vewy, vewy quiet. kids vs adults. darwin would study this game. paranoid? lol, no.
-
It appears that the Z are not undead for realism's sake. This doesn't mean they can't behave as classic undead Z. I see it as a ploy to keep the realism fans happy. But is it really necessary? Devs?
-
They will until they find something better. Adding weapons like this makes looting more time consuming. Not the way to go imo.
-
The problem with non-random loot respawn is that players will still know what items are to be found where. I want to get rid of that .
-
""All older weapons (FNX Magnum Mousin M4 and SKS) are excelent"" The M4 is anything but fine. The cone of fire bs screwed it up.
-
Infected humans can be killed in a myriad of ways. Zombies need to be shot in the head.
-
Look, if they're zombies for all intents and purposes except the name, don't be a sissy about it and let them be zombies. Much more fun.
-
So it's an apocalypse with sick people. You wanna cure them now I suppose? I mean, they're human beings, not monsters.
-
Is this a Z apocalypse game or what.
-
I thought we discussed this already. They're undead Z Headshots? Sure!
-
The "fluff" that is being added should not take usable manpower away from fixing the main problems, agreed. I trust it doesn't.

Having a gazillion cookie cutter models to pick from allows for choice but not creativity. Creative features are essential to realism and prolong the lifespan of the game. I suggest making these features into the prime creative aspects: - base building - vehicle coachwork (re-)design - improvised ghillie suits - traps Would you be willing to wait for creativity in these features or would you be satisfied by more expedient cookie cutter choices?
-
""So why not make craftable?"" I'm trying to stay clear of minecraft style craftable items and want some actual skill and creativity involved. ""Traps were also suggested many times. Hand made ones, as well as bear-traps, booby-traps with rope+nade, etc. Bases will come. And vehicles (bikes) are surely on the way. I bet within 3-5 months from nao on ;)"" The question is not if they will be implemented, it is not even when they will be implemented, it is about what shape these features ought to take and whether you are willing to wait for quality. ""in a zombie-apo I wouldn't build a "ghillie-suit" as it now is."" I'm completely opposed to cloaks of invisibility.
-
"camouflaging would be possible only when in a grassy or woody area" To restrictive. A solution to all your problems would be to allow things from the environment to be bound to items by players.

KoS in relation to the new spawn mechanism of Zombies: Good or Bad?
mgc replied to crazyandlazy's topic in General Discussion
Maybe, but your question was: How do the new Z mechanics affect pvp. Ok, the way this works is balance of power. If adding another player to the equation changes the balance in your favor, there is an incentive. -
Stable branch not stable enough, got it. ""spending too much time on useless features"" People with different skill sets are working on different things. Do you expect them not to do stuff that is scheduled to be done eventually because the rest haven't finished coding the core features yet?
