    Visual cues could be given but not identities. For example you have a configuration file that contains information that is used by the game to give qualities to the events. Being sick leads to stumbling, slow movement, shaking... so you run into someone who is sick these cues could be translated to you as thoughts just as when you are hungry, thirsty or sick you see this on the side in text. With enough visual cues you could guess many things about a person and if you had run into them before you may even get an idea in text that tells you 'This person looks familiar.' and if you have been told their name you might even get that.

    Thanks. When the barrage come I'll be fine. I would expect only that they do it with true feeling and devotion to the integrity of the game. Besides I do have my own opinion on the subject that is contrary to what I suggest.

    Whole map

    35- 40 years ago finding a map in a car was a fair bet. Finding a map in a car that was in one piece was a bit of a treat. Today you are more likely to find a cell phone between the seats than a map anywhere near a car. If you want modern weapons you have to also think of modern times for other items as well.
  6. Well I finally came up with what I hope to be my unique(ish) idea. There have been many reports of sudden death, broken legs, invisible zombies, falling from ladders... and many other problems. So as a temporary solution to these things would it be reasonable to use them to an advantage. By adding a layer of ghostly apparitions to the environment where these things occur most often it would do several things. Add a new and much needed scare to placesGive KOS players more to shoot atRemind players of the danger that the area has due to the development stageGive the development team a much needed break from well...It may be found to be a great addition to the game in general and kept even after the areas get fixed.And there may be more as wellSo even if someone wanted ghosts I give reason. Just try one place like the Ship Wreck or even just the stair at the fire station. That's all I ask. Keep in mind I'm only taking temporary. What thoughts?

    Tree House

    While I like the idea I wouldn't vote at this point as I'm not to sure of how well it would work out. It would be nice to be able to test it out in a minor way such as a platform or tree stand first. The climbing trees and being able to not fall off would be the first thing that would need to be done just so you would be able to put in a platform. Then there is the gear needed to climb or the adding of trees that could be climbed without gear.(I like the second idea "without gear" better as it seems more primal.)

    I’m sorry OP for what I must say. Please don’t think of me as being anal about the hole idea you dumped right before our eyes. But to think of what you said made me constipated in ways I could not have imagined and it shook me to my bowels. It was the kind of crap I had seen in other forums and thought to tread lightly as to not step in the wrong spot. So, I focused on the concept and began to relax and feel movement in the direction I felt I should go. The entirety of what you propose dropped from me and I felt such relief in knowing that you are at least trying to stem the diarrhea like tide of hoppers from shitting on everyone’s fun. This aside while I like the idea in a fun way realistically I would have to say no. However as Alpha it should be that testing such ideas should not be beyond the scope of this stage. It could lead to a real solution later on. It could be just enough of a deterant to justify having it for awhile if it would make a differance in the testing.

    Gesture to block the sun.

    Hi. I like the gestures as well. However I see things a bit further down the road. A gesture such as hand raised shows one to be harmless. But if you are being held by a guy with a rifle next to you when your hands are up just add the twisting motion then drop hands fast enough plus the space bar in to defensive mode together with left mouse click and you now hold the other guys rifle. I see hand to hand combat. I think that eventuly the gestures could be worked into something more. Same idea for the wave to take a hand gun, flip them off poke eye, shield eyes for..............um........um........nothing I guess. Just kidding a judo chop to neck... No this dosen't work (at least to my knowlage) But something to think about. How would I like to use this to my advantage? If seen fit there could be a long list of options that one could choose from and form a limited selection for personal use. It could be combined with other concepts both already in the game on the table or just being sugested to make it possibly more realistic or (imo) reasonable to include. Thanks for listening.

    Degrading Skills and Books

    Hi. new here. I like the concept of skills as discussed here. I'll just cut to the point though. I see 3 differant skill types 1. Inherent skills. Those that we have learned up to that point where we spawn fresh. 2. Developed skills. Those that we pick up on naturaly over time through perhaps trial and error. 3. Learned or studied skills. Those that we must have a resource for before being able to learn. A simple example: 1. Inherent skill. Walking, running, jumping... 2. Developed skill. Walking silently, running without hitting objects or over rough terain, jumping over obsticals without falling... 3. Learned skill. Walking without leaving a trace of being there(covering your tracks), running and evading hostiles, when jumping how to land in a proper role or tuck. Thanks for listening.
