Well, there are no mods here anymore so people can say anything basically. There are zero original devs working on this game. They all left because they don't want the stink of DAYZ on their resume. So what we will get will be a watered down version of Deans vision. Game development isn't easy, but when BI doesn't care we the people suffer. Happy 4\20

Cooking items losing durability is absolutely idiotic. Like we need more time sinks in this game. And can't be repaired. You think an average joe can keep a complicated automatic weapon clean and working with a repair kit but we can't figure out how to fix a pot? Smh.

He is a troll. I blocked Gamerwarrior ages ago because he has absolutely nothing to add besides whatever drivel he spouts. Just block him and he will leave after he stops getting replies to his idiotic comments. Cars suck. Hopefully the new car\physics sim will help when they get around to releasing the update. Not holding my breath though. This game is going on 10 years in development. -

You can't. They paid money to host. They make the rules. You are subject to them if you play on their server. Find a new server. Best and only option. -

New controller is MUCH better. I don't think most of yall remember how janky movement used to be. How you could turn instantly or zig zag while running and basically avoid bullets? Making the player interact correctly with map is insanely difficult. Add in physics etc and shit gets complicated. -

They NEVER explain anything security related for obvious (I think....) reasons. I can't think of one game that goes into any detail on fixing security issues. So don't get your panties in a wad. -

We've already got a graphics overhaul for dayz. This will most likely be for a new game. Dayz funded all this new engine stuff we've had for a few years now.

Dayz is not the Dayz Dean Hall intended by a looooong shot. The moment they decided it was going on consoles this was going to be inevitable. Unfortunately what you or I think Dayz should be doesn't matter anymore. I feel your pain. I really do. I just got used to it about 3 years ago. -

They actually removed infected for a few months a couple of years ago. And with the damage the way it is, if you're not wearing armor you gonna die after first round comes flying at you. Most ppl will be dead before they know where it was coming from anyway. -
On official servers it never gets dark enough to need any light. NVG are a waste of time imo.

This game will probably not be supported much past next year, so modders and server owners will make the game the best they can with the limited resources. Wipes are inevitable with how the database is set up. It's like your cell phone. If you don't restart the phone periodically it starts acting up. And when there are millions of items/players/bases/vehicles getting moved around etc etc the simulation gets wonky due to a myriad of reasons. Rust wipes once a month. Rust also has a Dayz mod. Let that sink in a bit.
