    Hi, let me say a couple words on the cheater situation. We are very much aware of the state of hackers infiltrating the game, and that situation having escalated since the corona outbreak. Since then, we've been in closer contact with BattlEye to ensure that measures are taken both by them and within our game. I will not go into details, as this is a security-topic. But to give you a hint regarding numbers, we have banned more accounts in 2020 so far (and I mean way more), than in the past 4 years combined (also, we are talking 5-figure numbers). So rest assured, that action is being taken, and cheaters are paying the price. Now to the topic of player-reports: With the way we are handling cheat recognition right now, implementing a report system for players would not benefit the situation. In this context you have to consider the time for implementation, the amount of false reports that would come towards us, and the time we would have to spend to run through them. Trust me when I say that we have considered it, and found a better way. Obviously, there wouldn't be this many topics on the forums, if cheaters weren't still an issue in the game. Fighting cheaters is and will always be a continuous effort, with more cheaters appearing the more popular the game becomes, or if they feel challenged to attack a game for other reasons.

    With the changes in the engine, we ran into more and more issue with TrueSky, which was also responsible for those volumetric clouds. As engine-support is now focused primarily on future (and proper) enfusion projects, please do not expect any major visual changes within DayZ, be it clouds or lighting.

    Why is console community so bad?

    Hi 🙂 don't worry, no matter how hostile other players might seem at times, you are not alone. It's mostly people who had bad experiences and/or are afraid of losing their gear. If you are looking for a clan/group, you can also look into our recruitment area in the console sub-section, or hop by our DayZ discord. There's lots of people looking for folks to team up with.

  9. This is sadly an edge case that we won't be supporting any time soon. We love our players down under as well, you guys know the survival struggle ❤️ Economy offline files will be updated with our next Exp update, which will be deployed very soon 🙂 There is currently still an issue with taking the Flag Pole Kit (3 Sticks + Rope) into hands, it should be fixed with our next Experimental patch. Yes, we haven't given up on the Russian Roulette, but it sadly did not make it for this update. 😕 Thank you for your reports, we are looking into them and have them scheduled for fixing.

    Experimental Update 1.09

    Hi, our usual observation is that the player numbers on the Experimental are going down after the first days. As we have the base building contest ongoing and at the same time need to monitor servers at high capacity, we decided to go with a lower number of Experimental servers for this run. I would like to keep the focus of this discussion on the update at hand. But yes, it is still something we want to look into. Hi, are there any more details you can give us on the desync? How does it appear to you, does it affect player positions, or items in hands/the inventory, for example? We'll also check the tent issue you mentioned.

You can win keys for our Livonia DLC, and to design your own base flag with our team, for implementation in the game! The Rules: Bases must be build on Experimental servers When you have the base ready, submission a couple of screenshots of your base via DM to our official DayZ Twitter Also include the server name and location so that we can have a look ourselves 🙂 Must include - A flag pole within the base Deadline - 04 Sep 2020 This event is on the PC Experimental only at first, consoles will get a chance after the 1.09 released Rewards for the winners Up to 5 Livonia keys, for any platform, one for each of your team members Design a flag that will come to the base game (needs to be presentable!) Accepted designs will be released in the next major update Bases will be judged internally by the DayZ developers, and one winner will be selected What is the Flag pole? The goal of this structure is to make the overall base management easier by having one central structure, which, within a given time, re-sets lifetime values of objects within its radius.     @Derleth Yes, this is intended. @hyz4 interesting, but so far we weren't able to properly reproduce it. Does it happen with any weapon? Which keys are you using for ADS/HB, and when you go back into ADS, do you already have HB pressed?

As soon as we can verify a fix for them, it will be deployed to you as a separate hotfix.   20. Dear Survivors, yesterday's 1.07 Update regrettably introduced several new issues to the game. To be as transparent as possible with you, we would like to go into some detail on those problems and what we intend to do about them. The game crash (blue screen on PS4), that most of you are currently experiencing, is a consequence of the recent work that was put into the inventory. However, as our inventory is quite complicated with countless options of switching and swapping on both the PC and console inventory, this error occurred on the consoles, as a result from the fixes. Our programmers are currently going through all interactions that are moving items to adjust them. We have also seen a server crash appear which is most likely tied to the physics-based dropping of large items. This issue also seems to appear more often on console servers. So we will most likely revert the change temporarily, until a more solid solution is found. An issue not as game-breaking, but certainly frustrating, is the voice-chat being triggered during inventory navigation. While we are currently prioritizing the crashes, we will fix it as soon as possible. Last, but not least, we have received your reports of FPS-drops during the gameplay. But as we haven't been able to find their cause yet, we would ask you to provide us with some data on where you are experiencing the lag. Critical information is here: The location your character is at The server you are playing on If there is anything unusual about this location, be it a player-made base, large amounts of loot, or just many structures We will continue to focus on these priority issues, and hope to have fixes tested and ready for release by the beginning of next week.     BLACK SCREEN

    @Vitaliy Prulis/ @Billy Kruger could you give us some basic information on the hardware you are using? If you've already tried to: Verify your game files via Steam Re-install the game You can also try to delete the DayZ folder in your documents manually go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps and delete appmanifest_221100.acf - afterwards verify your game files more advanced: go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata and make a backup of that folder (in case something goes wrong, you never know). Afterwards, you can dive in and delete data with the number 221100 in the name. Afterwards verify your game files and try again If this still does not work, we recommend you to contact our feedback tracker at feedback.dayz.com with a private ticket. Please include your crash report and your DxDiag report.

    DAYZ WON'T LAUNCH

    Hi, lets try to cover the basics first. Did you already verify your game files via Steam? Do you have any launch parameters active in the launcher? If yes, try to remove them first, and try again. Did you play on any modded servers before? --- If this does not help you can try to: Navigate in to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\*SteamID*\ Then there should be multiple folders, the ones relevant to DayZ are 221100 for stable 1024020 for experimental delete both of them Let me know how it goes 🙂

    What's the point?

    To add some explanation to @TheCreeper (DayZ)'s comment, this is what DayZ is about. Players are supposed to discover things by themselves, and have free choosing on what to do. The world out there is tough, and if someone manages to stay alive and gear themselves up, they gain power to engage other players, making it harder for them. Now there are multiple ways to approach this situation: Respawn and try to make it better. That can be achieved in multiple ways. Maybe you were too open positioned, because even if you have found some nice friends, you need to stay aware of your surroundings. As you learned, not everyone is that nice. Chose who you trust and how you engage other players. Some kill everyone instantly because they fear they get killed instead. Some have a more tactical approach. Some just like to kill, die and respawn. If you discover that this constant thread of looming insta death is not for you, there are several community servers out there, that have rules that enforce friendly, or at least roleplay behaviour, meaning players have to introduce themselves first or create a conflict before actually shooting you. What we mean to say is that what you experienced is DayZ in its purest. Not everyone is friendly. But there are some friendly people out there which make it worth it. It's up to you to find your own stile to live (and eventually die, that's the reality) in this world.
