There are currently no plans for that. That was mostly due to the PlayStation release and the major console-specific issues that needed to be investigated. There shouldn't be any update-skipping for consoles in the future any more like happened with 1.03. On Marketing and Community Management side we have new hires already in place/being hired. The lead positions are taken over by other team members of Production and Design, that have been working on DayZ for years.

Hello Xbox Survivors, we are sorry to announce that we will take 16 Xbox servers offline on Monday, 15th of July. Reason behind this is the continued duping activity that we are investigating. To signal this change, we will adjust the name of the affected servers to "Persistence OFF". However, the persistence on these servers will remain functional until the 15th of July. So use this opportunity to move your existing storages to other servers. The servers that will be affected by this change are listed below. We apologise for this inconvenience, but we are closing in on the current console issues and hope to be able to provide several critical fixes with the update this month. See you in Chernarus! Affected Servers: DayZ EU - NL 9655 (Persistence ON) DayZ EU - NL 9658 (Persistence ON) DayZ EU - NL 9661 (Persistence ON) DayZ EU - NL 9664 (Persistence ON) DayZ EU - NL 4695 (Persistence ON) DayZ EU - NL 4710 (Persistence ON) DayZ EU - NL 4725 (Persistence ON) DayZ EU - NL 4740 (Persistence ON) DayZ US - WD 4152 (Persistence ON) DayZ US - WD 4191 (Persistence ON) DayZ US - WD 4230 (Persistence ON) DayZ US - WD 4269 (Persistence ON) DayZ US - WD 4161 (Persistence ON) DayZ US - WD 4200 (Persistence ON) DayZ US - WD 4239 (Persistence ON) DayZ US - WD 4278 (Persistence ON)

As we announced last week, we plan to bring the build into submission this week, with the release planned for the end of the month. So far everything looks okay in that schedule:

Hello Xbox Survivors! We have a small hotfix coming live, focusing on the current issues with scopes. We are aware of the remaining issues on Xbox and the team is continuing to provide fixes in combination with the next major platform update, which will be a combination of the 1.03 and 1.04 update. The release for this update is scheduled for later this month. Patchnotes GAME FIXED Fixed: Certain scopes were rendering grey.

The server should be up and running.

Can A dev from the ENFUSION side of things please offer their opinion.

Removed some trolling and personal arguments. Closing on request. -
We confirmed with our server provider and it appears that two server machines had a technical issue and had to be shut down. We decided to reduce the total server number under these circumstances, so that regretfully we will not bring them back online. All servers affected: DayZ US - TX 2708 (Persistence ON) DayZ US - TX 2741 (Persistence ON) DayZ US - TX 2774 (Persistence ON) DayZ US - TX 2792 (Persistence ON) DayZ US - NY 2729 (Persistence ON) DayZ US - NY 2762 (Persistence ON) DayZ US - NY 2813 (Persistence ON) DayZ US - NY 2846 (Persistence ON)

Sadly console test servers will not be an option, as it would again complicate the process on our side with additional submissions that have to be made (which again requires more time from our QA), and servers that need to be maintained.
-
Please send us the server name, so that we can look into it.

Not that easy to answer. First of all it's crucial to understand that DayZ is a very deep game (meaning lots of content and features that are all connected in some way in a persistent environment), and the port to console brought a new amount of complexity to our entire development and QA testing. So certain issues are appearing on both versions, some are only easier to reproduce on console, some are console specific (such as this specific issue, which is caused by the console inventory). It might be worth to mention at this point that our QA department is not consisting of hundreds of testers that play DayZ 24/7, but rather a dozen people, some of them part-timers, that have to test not only the current live version, but also every new fix, content, feature etc that comes to the game. This team is split over PC and consoles (both Xbox and PS4). While they are highly dedicated, it's just important to understand how much resources "proper testing" for a game with the depth of DayZ would require. Still, we took the challenge head on, and unfortunately the initial results for the console versions showed a lot of issues that we haven't been able to fix in the past months, and delays are still bound to happen. With 1.04 we are looking forward to some major fixes and changes around those exploits plaguing the game. Our QA is testing the new version as we speak to the best of their abilities, but there will always be the chance that certain issues make it back in the game. I hope that helped a bit.

We are aware of an issue like that and the team is looking into it.

That would be DayZ NL 3664704 (Public) - Hosted by Multiplay.com, it had a couple of issues in the past hours, but should now be up and running again. 🙂

Hello Xbox Survivors! Today's game update (1.02.151527) was released unintentionally. In the now published version we tried to optimise the frame-rate, but an issue with scopes stopped us from releasing it originally. EDIT: The servers have now been updated to the new version, to allow you to play. We will release a new update to fix the scope issue as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience. This update is only a hotfix for the current version 1.02 (with the mentioned issue), no changes to the game itself have been included.

Just a warning at this point, as you already went for denunciation and now uninformed claims. We understand frustration about persistent issues in the game, but please stick to our guidelines for the forums. To clear that up a bit: The test with the 150 player server was, as described in the accompanying tweet, a test for hardware performance. And just because a server is able to run 150 players does not mean we will increase every single server to 150 players, as there's obviously way more to consider on that. The test was just to see the performance of specific server hardware (our second hardware performance test was using only 60 slot servers btw). Our team is working on the known issues of duping, meatballing, frame drops, and ghosting, while porting the new content and features from PC to consoles. Those are our priorities.

Game messages for Server shutdowns on the 15th of July
ImpulZ replied to u.s. army rangers's topic in Xbox
Sorry for the delay on this, you can read and discuss the full statement here: (Closing the topic) -
The server should be back online. 🙂
-
Closing for uninformed claims. When stating numbers, please include sources (and in this case very important: currencies) to avoid confusion.
-
There is no console update planned for today.
-
You can contact our Feedback Tracker or the BattlEye support on this issue.
-
That is not the case. Players have at least 75 seconds to decide otherwise, with a warning right in front of them. When you press "Leave" you get back to the server selection without any repercussions. But it becomes apparent that this is not enough to explain this behaviour to players, so we are currently discussing if we need to force the player to confirm a pop-up. 🙂

Expected release date of version 1.03 or higher for PS4?
ImpulZ replied to The walking survivor's topic in New Player Discussion
The next update for both consoles will be a combination of the 1.03 and 1.04 updates, which will be published in July. More info will be published in time.
