    Removal of Temporary Servers

    Yes, there was probably a mixup in the platforms, should be corrected now. However, if your server is receiving the server message, it is one of the servers affected and will be taken down at the given date. "Temp" is short for temporary, meaning the server is created for a limited amount of time. Player numbers can fluctuate, a good example was us entering the Xbox Game Pass, which made the game available to a huge range of players who wanted to test it. Obviously not every person who tries a game, stays with it. So now it's time to close some of those temporarily created instances again, to bring players closer together. There is still more than enough space to cover all of our players on official servers though, so you will be able to find a place to play. In general we have the possibility to make temporary servers permanent, but considering the trend of players moving towards customized experiences on Community servers (which we wholeheartedly support), this is unlikely to happen.

    Hi, have you checked your server browser filters, if they are all set to disabled? Is there any other error message visible in the server browser?

Your PS4 account nickname The last time you tried to see servers (can be today) To clarify, can you not see any servers at all, no official, nor community servers, no matter how you set your filters in the server browser? And just to be sure, your internet connection works fine with other games?

    What screens are popping up? This really just sounds like you are somehow accidentally tabbing out of the game (like alt+tab).

    Negative values do not work. If you want to get a better idea on what individual methods do, you can look into \Scripts\3_Game\Weather.c, there is documentation on each method and what it does / how to use it.

    Hi, this is a problem we are aware of, the weather adjusted in the init tends to move more around the maximum values. We wrote our own method in the game, it's located in Scripts\4_World\Classes\Worlds\ChernarusPlus.c. There is also a file for Livonia Override the method WeatherOnBeforeChange, this can be done via a server-side mod.

    Livonia issues

    Hi 🙂 DayZ Experimental is the access to our Experimental branch, it is not related to the Livonia DLC. I cannot help you with the DayZSALauncher, as that one is maintained by modders, and not us. If you use the server browser in the regular DayZ launcher when starting the game, you should see Livonia servers appear and be able to access them. Let me know if you encounter any further issues. 🙂

    Hi, let me say a couple words on the cheater situation. We are very much aware of the state of hackers infiltrating the game, and that situation having escalated since the corona outbreak. Since then, we've been in closer contact with BattlEye to ensure that measures are taken both by them and within our game. I will not go into details, as this is a security-topic. But to give you a hint regarding numbers, we have banned more accounts in 2020 so far (and I mean way more), than in the past 4 years combined (also, we are talking 5-figure numbers). So rest assured, that action is being taken, and cheaters are paying the price. Now to the topic of player-reports: With the way we are handling cheat recognition right now, implementing a report system for players would not benefit the situation. In this context you have to consider the time for implementation, the amount of false reports that would come towards us, and the time we would have to spend to run through them. Trust me when I say that we have considered it, and found a better way. Obviously, there wouldn't be this many topics on the forums, if cheaters weren't still an issue in the game. Fighting cheaters is and will always be a continuous effort, with more cheaters appearing the more popular the game becomes, or if they feel challenged to attack a game for other reasons.

    With the changes in the engine, we ran into more and more issue with TrueSky, which was also responsible for those volumetric clouds. As engine-support is now focused primarily on future (and proper) enfusion projects, please do not expect any major visual changes within DayZ, be it clouds or lighting.

    Hi 🙂 don't worry, no matter how hostile other players might seem at times, you are not alone. It's mostly people who had bad experiences and/or are afraid of losing their gear. If you are looking for a clan/group, you can also look into our recruitment area in the console sub-section, or hop by our DayZ discord. There's lots of people looking for folks to team up with.

    Experimental Update 1.09

    Hi, our usual observation is that the player numbers on the Experimental are going down after the first days. As we have the base building contest ongoing and at the same time need to monitor servers at high capacity, we decided to go with a lower number of Experimental servers for this run. I would like to keep the focus of this discussion on the update at hand. But yes, it is still something we want to look into. Hi, are there any more details you can give us on the desync? How does it appear to you, does it affect player positions, or items in hands/the inventory, for example? We'll also check the tent issue you mentioned.
  23. Hello survivors! The PC Experimental Update 1.09 is now live! With it, we are kicking off a base-building contest. You can win keys for our Livonia DLC, and to design your own base flag with our team, for implementation in the game! The Rules: Bases must be build on Experimental servers When you have the base ready, submission a couple of screenshots of your base via DM to our official DayZ Twitter Also include the server name and location so that we can have a look ourselves 🙂 Must include - A flag pole within the base Deadline - 04 Sep 2020 This event is on the PC Experimental only at first, consoles will get a chance after the 1.09 released Rewards for the winners Up to 5 Livonia keys, for any platform, one for each of your team members Design a flag that will come to the base game (needs to be presentable!) Accepted designs will be released in the next major update Bases will be judged internally by the DayZ developers, and one winner will be selected What is the Flag pole? The goal of this structure is to make the overall base management easier by having one central structure, which, within a given time, re-sets lifetime values of objects within its radius.
