BattlEye Error BattlEye, the anti-cheat software that we use in DayZ, reacts to certain abnormalities on your computer. You can find a clear definition of many of the BattlEye error messages in this FAQ article. If BattlEye does not prevent you from starting the game, but keeps kicking you from servers, please report a server kick.

By accessing this link you can create your account at the website with your email, Facebook, or Google account. Please take the time to perform a search before filing your bug, as duplicate bug reports will only slow down our QA team. Use the following steps: Click the world icon on the top right corner and select “Advanced Search”. On the “Query” field, type in a keyword related to the issue you are trying to report. Don’t forget to use the correct DayZ Tag on the bottom, depending on the platform you are using to play the game. Click the "Search" button and you will have all the open tasks containing the keyword you have used. If you don’t find a task that matches what you would like to report, do the following: 5. Go on the top right corner of the page, click the star icon and select your platform. In case your report contains sensitive data like, your ID, base location or reproduction steps for exploits, please use the options that say “Private”. This will prevent other players from seeing the ticket and its details. 6. Once you open a new report, make sure to provide as much information as possible. If you are not sure on what to write in any of the fields, please use the image below to guide you through each step. In case you need to add some form of media to better demonstrate the issue you would like to report, like an image or a video, you can upload them by clicking the cloud icon present on the toolbars of each text field. To find your Steam ID do the following: Open the Steam client Select the "View" option, on the top right corner, and click "Settings" A new window will pop up, select "Interface" Make sure that "Display Steam URL address bar when available" is ticked. Then just click your user name like in the image below and you should be able to locate your steam ID in the URL. If your profile has a custom URL, the Steam ID won't be displayed in the address. To find your ID on console, you just have to open the main menu, and it will display on the bottom left corner of your screen. 7. Once everything is filled, click on “Create New Task” and the report will be sent to our QA team. Our team will look at the ticket and maybe open a dialogue below the original report to ask for more information and keep you updated on the state of the issue. We hope this guide will help you with bug reporting. How To Used Feedback Tracker - video by Scalespeeder Gaming Follow us on our social networks to stay up top date with DayZ. Stay safe Survivors!

How to report a stuck character. Your character can occasionally get stuck in rooms, objects or under the map. To report this issue and free your character it is essential for you to include the following information: Your Steam64ID. Use a Private Bug Report, so other players cannot see this information. IP of the server you are stuck on (be aware on which server you play!). Your Location on the map, accompanied by a screenshot of your position.

How to report a Server Kick. Server kicks can appear for many reasons. A server can crash, you can lose connection or be forcefully removed by BattlEye. If server kicks persist, please report them to our feedback tracker. Remember to include the following details: If there is an error message, please include the entire message or a screenshot of the message. Name or IP of the server you were kicked from (be aware on which server you play!) Your Steam64ID. Use a Private Bug Report, so other players cannot see this information. How to get your Steam64ID: Your most recent .RPT file, located here: C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\DayZ (some folders can be hidden, you can make them visible via the "View" tab and checking the box to display "Hidden items"). Please upload the .RPT file to your report.

How to report a client crash. A client crash happened when your game unexpectedly closed itself with or without an error message and sent you back to your desktop. Crashes are particularly nasty issues and require an analysis by the development team. The easiest way to get help is going to the Feedback Tracker and providing all relevant information. If you haven't already, create an account on the Feedback Tracker. You can also log in using your facebook or Google account. Do not try finding a similar crash report. Most crashes are unique and need to be addressed individually. Unlike normal bug reports, you don't have to worry about creating duplicates of crashes. In case we find out that your crash is actually sharing some similarities with other reported crashes, we will take care of that ourselves and will let you know. Create a Private Bug Report and clearly label it as a crash in the subject (e.g. "Game Crash - Dropping a protector case crashes the game"). Provide insight into how you got your game to crash. Include information about what you were doing around the time the game crashed. Every little detail can help us fix the problem. Remember to mention on which branch of the game this happened (Stable/Experimental/Stress Test). GOOD "The game crashed when I dropped a protector case on the ground while playing on an Experimental server. I had the protector case in my backpack and drag and dropped it into the vicinity window. The case contained a canteen and a pack of rice. I have tried this several times and it happens every time" BAD "Game crashed when I dropped a protector case" Include steps to reproduce if you think that they are necessary and aren't obvious enough from the description. Always describe reproduction step by step. Open your inventory Place the protector case in your backpack Drag and drop it into the vicinity tab Game Crashes Don't forget to include the game's version (can be found in the main menu). Now for the most important part of all. We need you to upload a few files from your computer. Specifically, the crash dumps that are generated with every crash and the DxDiag report from your computer. Getting your DxDiag file: Open the Start menu Write "dxdiag" Press enter A window will open Click "Save all information" You will get a text file - that's what we need Getting your crash dumps: Go to this file location: "C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local" (some folders can be hidden, you can make them visible via the "View" tab and checking the box to display "Hidden items") You should see a DayZ folder. Create a .zip or .rar file of that folder. Then take the .zip/.rar and the DxDiag file and upload them to the Feedback Tracker issue. The upload limit is 5000KB, which should be enough. In case it is not, please upload the files to a file sharing website and post a link to the files in the comments. In most cases, we will answer crash reports within a day or two, provided you filled out the report correctly and uploaded the necessary files. The issue will then be sent to a responsible team member, who will attempt to implement a fix. You will be notified once a fix is introduced so that you could verify that the crash does not occur any longer.

DayZ Staff can not and do not have access to BattlEye global or VAC bans, and can not revoke them in any way possible. You MUST contact BattlEye or STEAM support about any bans issued on you.

Are the servers and your client on the same version? Did you try to verify your game files via Steam?
-
@noentry45 Rest assured that we are aware of the current focus of attention, which is again why we use every opportunity - such as this one - to explain that the Stress Tests are in no way representing the final game. DayZ is of course not meant to be excluding towards new players, but we aren't trying to appeal to "mainstream audiences" either. You find reassurances on our course of game design in practically each and every Status Report. @Espa thank you for your kind words and trust, even if we don't reply directly we try to read as much of your feedback as possible.

First of all thank you for taking the time for writing your thoughts down. But there is a lot of unnecessary worrying among the community right now, because everyone is discussing their doubts and fears about every single thing on the Stress Tests. Please be aware that the Stress Tests do NOT resemble the final state of the game in any form. An example is discussing the first implementation of soft skills right now on our build. This iteration you are seeing right now is by no means final and therefore any discussion about it is completely unnecessary at this point in time. There is still so much missing to the complete DayZ experience that features can't be seen in their entirety by now. So while we appreciate your patience and passion to send us your feedback, please don't have unnecessary worries that what is now in the Stress test will stay forever.

Well, when it comes to this you can still eat the dog...

No worries, we have a step-by-step guide on how to create a bug report. On feedback.dayz.com you find all the necessary details you should include in your report.
-
Hi Max, could you please report the issue with details on the official feedback tracker?
-
Happy to hear you enjoyed your first visit to Chernarus. For more information on the 0.63 visit this link, please keep in mind that this is a stress test only available during limited events and bugs/problems are to be expected.

The reason the updates took so long is because of the massive engine changes that will be mostly complete with 0.63 Experimental. So additional updates will come way quicker. And it's normal that there are not always exactly 100 big patches from 0.01 to 1.0.

A few questions, that was quite a read :O Sorry if I do some nutpicking or ask specific questions. in the dropdown list for Experimental Release To-Do you have two times the point Gameplay - why? At the DayZ Beta Features > Servers > Local database you mention "Server side mission", is this related to actual in-game missions or something else? The UMP45 is mentioned in both Post Release Content and Beta Content, which one is it? You talk about console versionS and bringing it to console players. But specifically you only mention Xbox. Is there already an update if PlayStation players will be able to play DayZ next year? You have the same description below DAYZ BETA CONTENT and 1.0 / POST RELEASE FEATURE GOALS, is this a mistake or on purpose? Because I can't make sense out of it in the context of the post release feature goals. In the 1.0 / POST RELEASE FEATURE GOALS > planned features you mention "water streams". Does this mean you have more solid plans to bring "realistic" rivers to DayZ or is this still hoping? Again thanks for all the information, though it's a bit tricky to understand sometimes. I really hope you are able to fulfill your promisses for 2018 or the community will go nuts. :-/ Best of success and keep up the good work.

Characters and persistence wipe on Stable servers this week
ImpulZ replied to Baty Alquawen's topic in Servers
I guess because it's the final punishment before dying. The bloodloss is caused by having not enough blood to regain consciousness, it would be useless to magically let people wake up with nearly no blood left. Nevertheless you still have the chance to get help by teammates. Call it helplessness, but that's how you die out there if you do not keep a good eye on your health: slow. -
Maybe not exclusively your topic, but are there plans for a stronger environmental storytelling? I'd love to find out more about Chernarus and other placeswhile wandering the landscapes. Just details like that the factory in Vybor was actually a brewery once. Of course it would be nice to get to explore the lore of DayZ, but I'd be happy with just more details in the environment, so that players can feel more connected to the cities and their history.

Exactly my thoughts @VahidkinG(2ndAcc), that´s why I asked for an official statement on the issue ;) -

One question @Hicks_206 (DayZ) , would be great if you could answer it :) In 2013 you made the decision to bring the game into early access with an engine, that afterwards was not enough to fulfill the expectations - coming along with the (unexpectedly high?) salesnumbers. Would you say, that this decision made the strongest impact on the slow progress of the ongoing development over the past years? -

Can only underline the 2 previous comments. You are trying to inform the community, but maybe 10% is reading it and 5% understanding. You are extremely transparent about your development, more than most other games I know and I hope you do not sacrifice too much time of the development for talking to a community consisting of many people that do not listen to you anyway. Good Luck and keep up the good work. -
back to the good old loot system :D spawned directly next to 10 chainsaws, bear traps and landmines, every book in the game, and enough food to last till the central economy is reimplemented. Waiting for May...

approved, i would really like to see some more of the planned stuff ingame. but its ok, i have time ... i can wait...
