You install DLC in Steam by going to DayZ in your Steam Library, and either in the Properties->DLC or on the right-hand side you will find a box labelled DLC where you can manage your DLC (including checking boxes to install/uninstall). The "DayZ Experimental" app is our experimental branch where we test updates publicly before they hit the main game.

Hi, moving the topic to troubleshooting. Do you have this issue on official servers as well, and also with empty inventories? Feel free to upload a screenshot of your inventory, so that we can investigate this issue.

Cleaned up several comments focusing on provocation instead of actual discussion. Hint: If you spend all or the majority of your comment attacking another user instead of arguing your position, do not press Submit.

Game bans can only be appealed at the BattlEye support, our anticheat provider. VAC bans have to be appealed with the Steam Support. Closing this topic.

And just to highlight that we are aware of the topic, the description of the status given above is basically correct. Since the re-implementation of vehicles there have been these cases of instability caused by bad physics simulation. Physics and server-side vehicle simulation are quite complicated things, and while over the past 2 years there have been attempts to stabilize the situation, sadly it wasn't completely successful yet. As many players report, it's definitely not a thing of "you will fly into space every day", but it definitely happens in individual cases, and as the video nicely shows, it's something that looks impressive and anyone seeing it will definitely post it on YouTube, once it happens to them. As it understandably in most cases involves the dead of the driver and fellow passengers, it's only a laughing matter at first. Our engine team is aware of the issue and regularly allocates time into investigations on this to find improvements, as you can imagine this kind of a situation is nothing a programmer likes to see as the result of their work either. Due to the proven complexity of this topic and other work within the engine, we are sadly unable to give an ETA as to when this will be fixed. As many other things in the game, vehicle simulation is calculated server-side to prevent hackers from abusing them. Sadly it can result in these instabilities in cases of bad connection, that aren't always clearly reproducible. Another aspect are ground collisions, as we've observed cases where vehicles would show irratic behaviour after having wheels added. That said, we'll provide updates to this topic if anything changes about this status.

This is how the M16A2 works in real life. It's actually more punishing IRL, if e.g. you would fire only 2 shots in one burst, your next shot would only be one, before you could do the next 3 round burst.

Can we get a damn answer to the error code: 0x00040031 ???
ImpulZ replied to Dale Alderman's question in Troubleshooting
Okay, the truck is at least 100m+ away, I guess? Basically, the problem is caused by very large bases at the moment, and lot's of things loading in. So the more empty you have your immediate spawning location, the better. If you are on an official server, you can connect to a different server briefly to reset your spawn position to the coast, which would allow you to rejoin your server again. Otherwise you would have to try and clean up your spawn location a bit and see if that helps. As I mentioned above, it's a known problem on our side, and we expect to improve the situation with our next update. -

ImpulZ replied to Dale Alderman's question in Troubleshooting
Hi, there are some known issues with this specific error appearing. It could be tied to the M3S truck, in case you are logged out close to one. We expect this issue to be fixed with the next update. -
You do not get banned for loading the false mods. Game bans can only be appealed at the BattlEye support, our anticheat provider. Closing this topic, also because it was created in the wrong section.

Hi, we are aware of the issue and are currently testing fixes internally. It appears to be an issue with the character not properly disconnecting from the server. We expect this to improve with our next Game Update. We apologise for the inconvenience.
-
Nobody is denying the existence of hackers on official or community servers. We are very aware of it, but hacking is obviously not only a problem in our game, it's a global problem. And of course hackers can connect to any community server that is not password or whitelist-protected. And not every community server has active admins, and following up on cheating accusations can take time. That said, we are aware of the situation, and hacking reports should be forwarded to our anti-cheat provider BattlEye.

Are both of your accounts in the same location, possibly close to a larger base? And do you mean occasionally you manage to fully spawn in and run around, before it crashes? What's the longest you can stay on that server before your game crashes, are we talking seconds or minutes?
-
Hi, we are aware of this problem and working on it with top priority. There are however still some things unclear to us, so any detail about the crash would help us. Does it always happen with the server you played on previously? When does the issue appear for you, when you launch the game for the first time on that day? What do you mean with "it fixes itself", does it allow you after trying to connect to this one server after several attempts, or do you need to connect to a different server in between? Any detail is appreciated. Thank you for reporting and apologies for the inconvenience.
-
Your client can't reach the server, this might happen if the server is currently offline, in the restart process, or has some other issue.
-
Bohemia these are some of the current glitches I’ve found.
ImpulZ replied to Dilcat42's topic in General Discussion
Could you provide screenshots or videos of these issues? We are aware of the other problems, and they will be tackled when our prioritization allows it. Sadly it's not as easy as "outsource to modders". While there are definitely very talented modders, their knowledge varies massively, and they have their own ways to achieve whatever they want to do with their mods, and those aren't always the most efficient or future-proof approaches. -
As mentioned in our guidelines, DayZ Staff can not and do not have access to BattlEye global or VAC bans, and can not revoke them in any way possible. You MUST contact the BattlEye or STEAM support about any bans issued on you. Closing.

BattleEye banning 2 accounts for changing harddrive serial number.

We are happy to announce that the upcoming Game Update 1.09 is entering its public experimental testing phase. This experimental build will only be available on Steam (PC) as we have ran into a number of issues within the Xbox Experimental build, which we wont be able to solve for this particular game update. We'll come back to the Xbox Experimental as soon as we can. In this blog, we would like to give you a first glimpse into the update 1.09, to show you what you should keep your eyes open for, and focus on during the Experimental testing. That being said, if you really want to know everything, head over to our forum post with the change log. And as usual, please post any feedback to our tracker and/or forums. The long-awaited Revolver is back. This one took a bit longer to get back into the game as it uses a special weapon logic alongside a very specific set of animations. The Revolver isn't the only weapon in this game update though. There is one more, and a completely new gun, but we will leave that up to you to find out what is it. The weapons and their muzzle attachments have got their durability during firing balanced. There was quite a big difference between different weapon types (ones with internal magazine were almost indestructible). Make sure to stack up your weapon cleaning kits, as duct tape is no longer usable on weapons. We are adding a new base object - the flag pole. The goal of this object is to make the overall base management easier by having one central object, which, within a given time, refresh the lifetime values of objects within its radius (currently set to 60 meters). The flag itself can be found in 27 different variants and it is used to activate the flag pole itself when raised. With each lifetime refresh tick, the flag position lowers, meaning you will still need to keep an eye on your base, but you will no longer need to run around all the objects and manually refresh them. A number of changes were done for the central economy setups for both Chernarus and Livonia. These include: Prolonged lifetime values for most of the items, to make the world more immersive and persistent. Server restarts are no longer refilling the world to the nominal values (ignoring restock timers). Loot restock will only happen overtime, when the timers run out. Door states are now persistent. Increased the chances of bumping into a rare items from the helicopter crash sites as number of rare items are now excluded from the count in cargo spaces of bases. We have also been busy updating textures on selected environment assets, making new exterior/interior variants for commonly used houses to increase variety and update power line network of Chernarus. We have also fixed a number of common issues with character collisions, which often resulted in clipping with ceilings. We hope you will like what 1.09 has in store for you. See you on experimental, survivors! On behalf of the DayZ team, Adam

Did you start with the character after the hotfix, or did you break your legs before? Also, please try to keep the discussions on topic 😉
