Is any of the kindling, wood or matches you are using wet? That could cause the fire not to work. Also I guess you have the barrel still open?

We are aware of the issues and working on fixes. It's a big updates and thus sadly caused a lot of other problems that you as a player cannot circumvent. But fixes will come once they are ready. -

First, always try to verify your game files via Steam. If this does not work, try a reinstall. If this also does not work, please refer to our Feedback Tracker at feedback.dayz.com. Include the complete error message and that you already tried data verification and reinstall. -
Wells are not at random positions, but we have changed some of their positions with this update.

If you are experiencing a compile error, please go to the DayZ folder in your documents and delete the XML files you find there. Also, moved to troubleshooting.

This issue has been reported to us multiple times, but we still lack exact reproduction steps to find the cause of the problem. If you know how this issue is created, let us know. Hello Survivors, we are now deploying a new update for Xbox including more fixes for the current issues. Please keep in mind that this is NOT the current Stress Test version from PC including vehicles and base building. Fixes include: - if the controller disconnects while the player is moving, the character stops now - fix for being unable to scroll through the online server tab - fix for overlapping texts in the inventory - fix for texts being displayed too small in 4K resolution - fixed the function to invite players into your game. NEW: Added a logout timer and queue time: This is mostly to fight rapid server hopping. When you log out, your character will remain on the server for 15 seconds, and fast reconnecting will cause you penalties between 60 and 90 seconds. So you will still be able to log out in reasonable times while being punished for switching your server repeatedly. NEW: Added a new database for Xbox: The Xbox servers will have their own database machine that won't be affected by the PC maintenance and updates related to the PC branch. This database switch is connected with a complete character wipe!

When it comes to critical fixes, we will sometimes still consider the Experimental branch to make sure severe issues are avoided. So as long as the Experimental branch is running a different version than Stable, reports from there are preferred. At the same time, there's still a lot of issues remaining on Stable, so Stable reports are very welcome as well.- 1 reply

It is not that one of the two is prioritized. But one was way easier to fix then the other. So the fix that was finished first, was deployed early, while the other is still being worked on. Partially we discussed the remaining issues here, same as for PC: Also, you will rarely see answers to "when" questions here, same as for PC. Fixes and updates are deployed when they are ready.

Have you deleted your persistence files? Also this issue could be related to the existing issue with Windows Server 2008. We will look into that one tomorrow and hopefully uncover and resolve potential connections.

The quote "weeks not months" was used in the context of the beginning of the Stress Tests, which happened 6 weeks after the announcement was made. We also announced to bring BETA and 1.0 this year, which we intend to keep as well. -

We announced in November 2017 already that those would be postponed past 1.0, together with vehicle modification, barricading, birds and planes. -

Have you downloaded the Xbox update from Wednesday and have you checked your filter settings?

Currently we have a 3x time acceleration. Because it's winter the days are probably already shorter than nights (yeah, we have an authentic day and night cycle), it's between 4,5 and 5 hours night and 3 to 3.5 hours of day, 8 hours for an entire day.

This is only normal, especially after years of development and our very open communication about the hopeful future and glimpses at everything in our pipeline. Sadly, with everyone having their image of the future (and I think many have been projecting this future at 1.0), this is the time where reality comes back to bite all of us. It is normal in development, that there's always more planned. We dream big as well. In early access development (and especially under our circumstances of long times between updates while trying to keep communication going) we have shared those dreams with our community, as you have shared your dreams for the game with us. This leads eventually to days like last Tuesday when we have to clarify what's realistic and what will have to stay a dream to work on post 1.0. So do we, and we still intend to deliver it. Remember, post 1.0 development begins in just shortly over 2 months from now.
