I posted them in completely different places. Its not like I was spamming. Just trying to populate our server. Also, each one was typed differently.

FUN SERVER TO LOOT AND FIGHT!

Me and my crew welcome any and all DayZ gamers to join our server and have a good time. We are trying to build server popularity so that we can have constant traffic. You are dead, then hear gunshots. What happened?

I would agree with others on the Alpha answer. There are a lot of timing bugs at the moment and I am sure this is one of them.

    Rent a Server?

Supposedly, private servers are not allowed and are to be reported to be taken down.
  5. Glad to see you guys prioritizing problems, and attending to the players needs!!

Spawning in a different place that I left my character at

The same thing happens to your character if you are in a server when the server resets. You will re-spawn about 20-30 seconds before the server actually resets itself. I am not quite sure why this happens. My solution for you would be to get to the location you want to log at and sit there for a good 30-45 seconds before you log. I have found this to work and usually spawn exactly where I left. Hope this helps!

    Stuffed?

I think I have a pretty good understanding of the dieting system in this game after watching a couple very informative videos. However today while playing, I stopped at a well to eat my bag of rice and drink from the well.(since the rice makes me lose a supposed 1000 units of Hydration) I was delighted to see my hydration bar green, my energy bar green, my healing bar green, and my healthy bar green. 5 seconds later, my green glory was tainted by a brown STUFFED, followed by my character puking and losing most of my green bars of wonder. After playing four or five more hours, when I decide to log off I notice that I still have a stuffed meter. What is everyones personal experience or opinion on this issue? How long is the digestive cycle? Is this a bug that I shall be forever stuffed until the next patch?

How I shat my pants over nothing

I think panic is what makes the game so addicting! We all long for that adrenaline rush. Like you said in your post, "My chance." That very slight chance that he was shooting at you and you were going to have to make a life or death decision is what makes this game so great!

You were kicked off the game...

I agree with you on this. I joined a server to get kicked immediately. The next server I joined, I had a 200 and some second respawn timer. This is one thing that they need to fix. Sadly, I dont think their is anything they can do than adjusting the wait timer for getting kicked. People who pay for servers have admin capabilities meaning they can do what they please with the server.I respect that much. Seeing how the timer is on this current patch, I am sure their will be updates and changes to make us happy on the next one. Guess we will have to wait and see!
  10. I think it is definitely worth the buy. I have already logged 238 hours of play and have loved every bit of it. Whether, it is gearing up for four hours to being shot in the back of the head with a magnum. Or, being a fresh spawn and starving to death while fist fighting a fully geared character. The link below is a good read and compares DayZ to other MMO's. There are a few points that are a little lack luster in my opinion, but overall I think the writer hit the nail on the head. The biggest points I agree with are the fear factor, and the non leveling. You never know what is in a particular field, house, forest, military base, etc. This makes you play on the edge of your seat at all times making it extremely addicting. Also, the fact that everyone starts at the same level. Washing up on the shore, dehydrated, with a flash light and battery. Just because someone can come up and blast you to kingdom come with a variety of firearms doesn't make you want to quit. It intrigues you to explore more! Discover more of the map, craft new things, check different buildings, camp different locations, make new alliances, etc. etc. http://www.mmorpg.com/showFeature.cfm/feature/8103/page/1 On top of it all, is the fact that the game IS in the Alpha stages. It is so exciting when a new patch arrives and you get to try out new features, find new loot, craft new items, so on and so forth. New scenarios, new possibilities with many different outcomes. Like I said, I am currently at 238 hours of game play and I have loved every minute of it, with many more to come. If you decide to buy it and need some people to play with, just click on the pic in my signature with a link to our server! We would love to have you come play with us! I will also post a link to our groups website. Feel free to register, comment, and participate in our discussions about the game within our community! Happy Looting! http://kill-on-sight.net/forum/index.php
  11. I think that it is circumstantial. I heard that before this patch you could roll off of high locations and not die or take damage. So what did I do, at full gear I tried rolling off of a church in Cherno and fell to my death. Then the server reset when I was 20 feet from my body. However,my buddy fell off of the top of the Hospital in Elektro and did not die. He said his screen went grey for a second then he was perfectly fine. I know that if you climb up to the top of the Fire Station, crouch and slowly slide onto the archway over the door, then slide slowly to the ground taking no damage. It is still a little buggy obviously, but I am sure it will be fine tuned in due time.

    My first SKS kill

Not necessarily my first kill with the SKS, but still a great story in my opinion. Was sitting on what we call "sniper hill" over looking Elektro when a fresh spawn starts running from the East into the city. I spot him and call out the position to my crew in case he escaped my sights. We hadn't seen movement in awhile so despite my sympathy for him being a fresh spawn, my itchy finger took over. I aimed down the scope and fired. First shot was a miss, so I led him a little bit and fired right through a gap in the trees. I lost him as he ran past a house. He popped back up on the other side jogging slowly with blood gushing from his side. There was one problem, he was still running! I zeroed in and fired again. He yelped in pain as I hit my mark. I see him fall on his face, but wait. He is sliding across the road on his belly like a penguin for a good 50 feet. I lose him as he slides in front of a strip of buildings. So I yell at my crew that he is on the move and they need to put him down. They spot him from the roof of the Hospital and I begin to hear a thunderous roar from an SKS and an M4. This goes on for a good 10 seconds as I hear them screaming in my ear that they hit him but he wont go down. Finally, silence reaches my ears and I hear one of my crew confirm the kill. Moral of the story, dont think he is dead until his body vanishes. For you victims, just keep running. You never no how many bullets you may be able to take! haha

We NEED some way to identify heros and bandits.

Why does there NEED to be a separation between Bandits and Heroes? This is not the mod. I personally do not want this to be like the mod. I want it to be better, to be unique, to be new. I feel that if you want to be a Hero, be a Hero. If you want to be a Bandit, be a Bandit. It all comes down to playing smart. You cant expect to just run down the middle of the road and expect to travel safely because you are a "Hero". There are just many problems that come with labeling two separate groups in the game. What if you want to be a hero so you can run safely from town to town until you get fully geared, then you just start murdering everyone you see once you are finished? I think the game should just be left without labeling groups of characters. If you want to be a hero, be smart about it. Carry a gun and if someone is genuinely friendly, they will accept your help. If not then maybe you should have approached the situation differently. Same goes for Bandits. If you are going to be a Bandit, you are always at risk. People coming back to kill you, putting yourself at risk in firefights, people ganging up on you etc. etc. I think it is fair as it is. If you do nice things for others, good for you! If you don't, you should probably watch your back, because I bet someone is coming up behind you to put an axe in the back of your head.
