If you're gonna call it a "weekly update".... ........You might want to do it...weekly. Otherwise just call it an update. Or a sometimes-update. I don't care about whether or not I'm getting the patch, but as a crowd-sourced investor, I think I speak on behalf of everyone who has paid toward the project that we'd like some transparency. I'd like to know what you guys are up to on the project, including your failings and successes. I ask this because otherwise, the only news we get is bad news from web journals, and silence from you. I'll delete this thread then. @waylander The: Writing a blog update on your goings-on has nothing to do with the actual programming/progress. I wasn't talking about the patch release. I was talking about the blog updates. So kindly go boil your head. Edit: Apparently this forum doesn't allow me to delete my own topics. It'll have to fall into the graveyard on its own.

I did notice that my framerate is really high, which is nice. When alpha first came out it sounded like like my computer tower was preparing for liftoff.

Dear Dean, ---With the addition of physics, it'll be possible to toss objects, including up onto a roof to another player. Since these objects will have their own materials (say, leather) will they be able to be hit/shot out of the air mid-flight....say....with... .....a baseball bat? So say I have like a ball...type..object, and I pitch *er* Toss that ball to a friend, can they hit it with said bat....? PLEASE OH PLEASE DAYZ BASEBALL. We can call it Z-ball and use items as bases. I'm a harcore fan of the Elektros myself. We can even make an inspiring film about how a young survivor prays for his team to have good luck, starring Danny Glover. We can call it Angels in the Airfield. ......please?

Stick-ball is the pre-1900's term for the game, since city kids would use broom handles or whatever to hit with.

I think it'd be awesome. Even if hitting the ball made it fly somewhere completely off-intended-course, bases could be placed a fair distance apart, allowing for a catcher to run, grab it, and return it to the pitcher/tag the runner out - no matter where it flew to. This is all assuming, of course, that melee weapons are still not ballistic-based, and could collide with physics objects.

No clue, I had posted a thread about a similar thing happening. Moreover, it seemed like mass amounts of people were newspawning, which led me to believe he was rapidly killing everyone on the server. And yeah,as accurate as being on a roof, to being on a hill, to appearing behind you facing you in order to one-punch-of-death you.

I have had plenty of experience playing games where people shout "HAX!" "hacker~!" "aimbot!", when they are simply out-skilled. This is not one of those times. I've seen clipping through walls, I've lagged, and this was something else. I was playing tonight with a friend near Kamyshovo, and a new-spawn appeared right next to me. I freaked out and emptied a clip of M4A1 on him, to blood spots, etc etc, and he still stood. All he was wearing was a red shirt. In my offense, I probably shouldn't have shot a new spawn, but I was in a spot where I'd never spawned before- up on the hill some ways. Anyway, from full health, guy punches me once bare-handed, and I go unconscious. One punch later I'm dead. I'm wearing a military helmet, and full gear otherwise. My friend is nearby and I tell him that someone punched me to death, and he starts to shoot at him. The guy starts warping around in locations like a F**kin matrix agent, and the same thing happens: Appears to the side of my friend and one-shots him with fists. Angry, I respawn, luckily, right in Kamyshovo. I run to my body, and am surprised to see kamyshovo FULL of newspawns. It's a 39/40 server so I assumed it was going to be full, but kamyshovo was as though everyone had died at once and was spawning here. Anyway, I try to go get my body and I see the guy again. He's wearing all my gear, has my fully-tricked M4A1, and is just warping around. I don't mean walking forward and lagging some, and appearing. I mean he's standing still, and would just disappear and reappear HUNDREDS of meters away, mowing down everyone who was spawning with my own gun. I yelled over ingame chat "How the hell are you warping like that?!" and he just laughs, appears near me, and shoots me dead. Then I quit. I'll be totally honest, I hadn't seen anyone hack in DayZ before. In the mod people would server hop, people would abuse the ammo clip glitch to restock ammo, and combat log, but this was something totally different. If this starts to become common in DayZ Standalone, I'm out for good. You spend hours collecting good gear. If I get killed because I let a sniper catch me, or I died in a gunfight, I'm steamed, but they got me fair and square. That's how the game works. Losing hours of gametime for bullshit like that is not alright. -----------i..e. Is there any way we could get punkbuster or something attached to the steam client when DayZ launches?

I normally have a stream running , I didn't this time.
