    Any Windows 8 users.

I jumped from XP to 8 and then to 8.1 and there's virtually no difference in terms of how games run. I'm on a laptop with a i7 and a gtx 770m and I get a solid 30fps in large cities and upwards of 40 to 50 everywhere else on fairly normal settings. Still looks great too :D

The Campaign for Iron Sight Zoom

This was a good read but I still think zooming should be removed completely unless looking down a sight that is meant to be magnified. The part about the human eye's resolution isn't really correct. We don't perceive images in tiny dots, so you can't ever really measure the human eye in terms of resolution. It CAN be fooled however. The only real way to get a realistic field of view would be to play on a monitor that encompasses your entire field of view in real life, which would require a screen that stretches around your face 180 degrees (shmancy future VR visors anyone? Can't wait for that...). The current zoom could be replaced with some kind of mechanic where your character squints and leans their head forward slightly more than normal, because that does actually let us see things that are farther away with more clarity, however small the benefit is (otherwise we wouldn't do it). All this would have to be is a very, very slight zoom with the focus being directed at the center of the screen with maybe some color fade on the edges for effect.
  3. I've only ever seen a single press vest and it was a ruined hand-me-down...
  4. Before anyone says it, I did some looking around and didn't see anything like this anywhere. I thought about it when I was climbing a fire station and suddenly teleported 50 feet off of the outside ladder, well off the edge of the building, and plummeted to my death. Anybody remember when fall damage was disabled? Can we get that back until players don't teleport randomly? I can't be alone on this... I've already died three times from this... once from ground level and the others while climbing ladders.
  5. Don't most bandits shoot if the victim doesn't comply anyway? I know I do when I mug someone... You kind of have to run away to jump off the building and then what's stopping the bandit from jumping off and following? IMHO I'd rather have things like that happen than die randomly because of a glitch. There's already enough of that.
  6. I also remember hearing from Rocket that the loot doesn't respawn when there's a player in the sector so theoretically, taken over real estate = no zombies OR loot which forces the "owner" of said real estate to go out and find more supplies to stockpile. That could just be my imagination though.

Allow Iv Bag Use On Yourself

They probably thought it would encourage coop play but simply existing in DayZ encourages coop...
  8. I think they are on the right track with it but they need to tie a certain number of zombies to the loot sectors Rocket mentioned in the recent rezzed presentation and have them respawn when loot does. Obviously some sectors would have more than others but you would be bound to find 100 zombies in a city vs 20 in a small rural town. I also think the zombie corpses should stay until they respawn. This would be a hint that another player is near or that part of the sector may already be picked clean. I like the whole idea of having to fight a horde when you fire in a infested area but it would be much less annoying if my friends and I thought "Ok guys, time to hold out..." instead of "Ok, we should probably use our axes until they leave us alone." After that you could add a number of "roaming" zombies all over the map to make the trips through the woods more interesting.

What is "Fully Geared" to you?

Fireaxe. Done. The rest I get while licking the blood of my enemies off the blade as I peruse their now lifeless bodies. On a more serious note, I consider fully geared to be a fully clothed player with a way to defend themselves from zombies and MAYBE a pistol. I like my zombie apocalypse with only a handful of military badasses, not 15 on a 40 man server. Everybody else, to me at least, just seem like overkill... I once found a guy with over 2000 5.56 rounds ON HIS PERSON. Still never found out if that was a hacker or the worlds oldest server hopper...

What clothing set/weapons would you add if you could?

I would add small options to the existing clothing and allow the player to wear layers of clothing. Never made sense to me that I have to tear my t-shirt into rags when I find a down jacket instead of just wearing both or that I couldn't put the hood on, unzip or unbutton a shirt or hoodie, or things like roll up the sleeves. I feel like when we have to worry about temperature, little things like that would change the way players have to choose what they wear instead of going for what has the most pockets.
