Hey man if your computer restarted maybe it's something with the temperature,60Cº GPU isn't hot,so check the cpu and other temperatures regarding the lockup try lowering a bit your vídeo settings(quality of it and resolution) the game seems to flow the gpu causing them to crash play on lower settings until they optimise the game(which will be quite later in the development) Cheers -
To all that lower fps just screw around in your video settings, you will gain performance in exchange for quality *flies away*

i used to have that with my ISP while i played LoL(only happened there) everyother game it would run fine with no lag or complete internet crash, turned out to be one of the cable "T" that was broken, check that man!! -
To me night time is perfect, the only problem is as you said: "to stay competetive with other players that exploit it" i hope they do get a "fix" later on to negate these exploits but until then i only join low population night servers gamma exploit is like legal cheating despite what people that use it will always say that it is not, due to the simple fact that it gives you superior vision over others Edit: a lot of people say that in real life it isn't as dark as the game... in real life we have street lamps everywhere or a light source nearby, try going to a forest at night and night time in the game is brighter!!

aha, nice thread!! 1st person cruising around, sometimes mistake own steps with other player/zombie 1st person cruising around and can't help to be paranoic all the time with every single sound and as OP stated: "damn it,there's someone, just some bushes!!"

Yep,it's complicated, you "leave" without wanting,not being able to protect the char!! but fine by me, i'm not into it for the loot(yet lol), we just have to be patient waiting for a fix or some guy who got it to work!!

It is a bit diferente from ours, you seem to really crash the game, the "send error report" pop ups in your case?? leave specs man!!

hey man, i have read in multiple forums, steam ones, this one, googled the problem and read some more, GTX nvidia cards usually are involved with this problem, but there are some small reports of ATI ones, i have tried some ideas, most of yours i didn't try it but seems it doesn't work either!! great detailed topic man! btw, my dayz usually doesn't have fps problems, but normally while i rotate my view the fps gets massively low and usually that's when the game crashes!! like when loading all the textures!! also noticed most of the times it starts "signaling" when it's going to crash!!

hey man, remember that once you receive an update, normally the game resets personal options such as vídeo or anything else(don't know if it happened on this update,haven't check it out yet) but see around in the options menu if something is wrong on vídeo settings that's lowering your quality but you say you have to force reboot the pc??or just dayz exe??

Aha, yap, i get a random crash too and this 30 seconds also is gonna be a problem, mine usually crashes right when a zombie is getting close,that time is enough to get killed Ill try this new build , they talk about +-20fps gain with it, lets hope it helps us too by not overloading our gpu!!

Stability increases after flush(but not that much) and you have to repeat it eveytime it happens!! But might help someone else
