I think you are missing the point. My Reward =/= Character value statement was in reply to the person who suggested that Reward = Character value. I was simply suggesting that was untrue and providing an example. Also I did not quote anything there...

Having not read the entire thread yet, all I can do is express my view on this subject. I will read it all later and form a repsonse if I have time... I have two things to say on the use of 3rd party communication in DayZ. 1. You will never force everyone to stop using external communications. You would be putting yourself at a disadvantage if you did not use it. 2. I am a huge fan of the MGS series and I can imagine using this type of software similar to using a MGS Codec, this device is undetectable and your communications while using it are undetectable also. edit: because next post by jumling

During the late 2000s, a nanomachine-based Codec was utilized by various soldiers and operatives. In order to successfully prevent outside people from successfully listening in to the call, the operative speaks in a nanomachine-based language while externally appearing to be silent. -

As human nature plays a large role in DayZ currently, I fear a system like this may inhibit one natural human emotional response. That is to say that in the process of Killing etc, it may become apparent to the aggressor that this is not the correct path, leading to a "change of heart". -
Perhaps not instantly, but a pattern could occur, enabling a process of elimination.
