1. Yes! Always a must with social events. 2. Sure :p 3. Absolutely. I plan on doing some farming and hunting leading up to the event, but I can have plots set up on the island for during the event as well.

Yeah, there are some trade-offs. My last event was held on a whitelisted private shard, and on Skalisty to boot, so logistically it was really tough... and I only gave people like 2 days notice because it was a rather last minute idea. I'd like to avoid excluding anyone if at all possible, and part of that is going to be making it easy on them to join in. Don't be afraid to discuss, though. This thread is for thinking out loud about the event and how we can make it as awesome as possible :)

I haven't worked out a plan for security yet, and that will have to wait until I determine what server I'll be using. I'll get back to you about that :) Thanks for offering. Yes, somehow haha. I'm open to ideas, but of course it would have to be based on the honor system ;)

That's kind of a given, wouldn't you say? ;) I had already planned on waiting until closer to the event to unveil the chosen server, but I'm unsure as to whether to go private or public. I can see benefits to both, particularly on my end in terms of gathering supplies beforehand (it would be easier if I can do whatever I need to on multiple servers). Perhaps I'll leave it up to a vote?

Does the reverse work as well? In other words, can I pour an alcohol tincture into an empty PET bottle?

There might just be. I'll let you know :) That's a neat idea! It's something I've wanted to do since 0.53 debuted, but I've never been able to coordinate it. This would be the perfect opportunity to do that. Thanks!

There will be a plan in place for this, I assure you. There will always be room for things to go wrong, but with proper planning I'm confident we can minimize the risk to participants. Interesting idea! Perhaps to minimize potential harm, we could do an archery competition? The new PC is a blast to play on :) Thanks for all your help.

I was pretty sure the prison clothing was spawning now. Are you sure? I haven't looked for it personally. Slugs were outright removed, I believe. I don't think they'll ever be added back in. The crushed soda cans will likely be re-added later on when there is a purpose for them, but they are likely not included right now because they have no function. I will add the prison clothing to the list if you're certain, as well as the sunglasses. The others I'm fairly sure aren't included on purpose.

Can anyone else claim to have killed at least one of every animal currently in the game? This isn't about bragging rights (nobody cares!), I'm just genuinely curious to see whether or not other people have struggled to reach this point like I have. Last night I finally got my first rabbit. It was done using a trap, and I'd still like to get one with a ranged weapon (.22 or bow maybe), but it was the final animal on my list. I've even managed to get the elusive chicken. I would like this to be a thread where people can share their hunting stories and assist each other at becoming better outdoorsmen (and women). Feel free to discuss anything related to hunting or fishing here, particularly your favorite hunting spots and tactics :) Animals currently in the game: -Cow -Goat -Chicken -Pig (domestic) -Boar -Deer -Rabbit -Carp -Sardines

I think regardless of the type of fish you source it from, fish fillets will not cook in 0.54.

That was my thought as well. Just as in real life, the larger rooms of a building like that would be excellent for social gatherings and events.

Good Thursday to you, ladies and gents. I've decided to document all of the billboards in Chernarus in one easy-to-reference place. I also have an idea for the Suggestions forum that revolves around billboards, but I don't want to post it before I finish documenting. What I need from you folks are tips; I don't know where to look for some of these billboards. I know I've seen them before, but some are more common than others and I just can't remember where some of them are. They will be creating plenty of new (and some unique!) buildings yet before the game hits beta. Trust me, they listen to the community, they know we want variety, and they know we want new/unique locations. There is no reason for half of the items in this game to exist. The chainsaw would be another item to add to that list. I would argue that a chainsaw has more value (and a higher fun factor) than half of the melee weapons added in 0.53, for example. It should be hard to use though, for sure. All of the "fake" animals that were part of the environment were removed to make way for the "real" animals when they were added. I do believe that the developers have expressed an interest in adding some environment-only animals back in such as birds, but in a better way than what the legacy Arma environment allowed. We are already seeing a taste of that with the dragonflies in 0.54 :)

I don't believe it's possible to cook fish in 0.54, sadly. Not sure what broke that mechanic, but other meats seem to work fine.

Yup! Found that billboard in Elektro just as described. Lighting was poor though so I didn't take a shot of it yet. I need to go back and get that one, Kids With Ice Cream, and Alkohol?!. Now that you mention it, I believe several regulars on the forums have mentioned not being able to cook fish in 0.54.Chickens do seem more common, or at least they spawn in more areas now. Zombies still seem to catch up to them with little effort though. Domestic pigs are back in, too.

Bumping this thread out of curiosity. Is there an existing feedback ticket for this? I'd love to contribute to it and reach out to the devs about some of these items.

Same here regarding the preference, even though I grew up eating freshwater fish like trout. It's a shame they still haven't implemented mackerel; we have to make do with sardines :(
