Still getting the message "The member Yazar8 cannot receive any new messages." I've recently deleted a bunch of messages, try sending me a PM.
-
I'm going to send you a PM. Thanks! EDIT: Your inbox is full. I have no old conversations with you that I can reply to, either :(
-
Different group from what I can tell. I don't think we ever did figure out where some of those random shots came from. Ultimately I don't think anyone got killed by them, but we'd like to avoid the threat for the next event if possible.
-
Feel free to reach out to me by PM with specific ideas. Probably best to keep the majority of security-related discussion to ourselves ;)
-
The Musty Gaming TS server had rooms set aside for the event, including a passworded one for security. I realize now that I did not advertise that fact; I'm not sure how I failed to do that, but my apologies. I agree that party-goers being armed did not seem to be an issue. It was outside provocation that led to the downfall of the party. That's been my experience at every event I've attended or hosted. This is definitely something that should be discussed, though.

Anybody looking to ditch extra attachments? I'll gladly take them if they are in worn/pristine condition. I'm doing another round of image updates for the wiki and this time I need attachments (mostly for the M4). Here's what I'm looking for... Buttstocks -CQB -OE -MP Handguards -RIS -Plastic -MP Optics -Carryhandle -RV1 RDS -M68 Comp2 -PU -PSO-1 Anything you're willing to donate would be awesome. I would also be more than happy simply meeting up, taking some screenshots very quickly, and then giving the item right back if it is something you want to keep. Send me a PM, please :) I'll do what I can to make it worth your while, so if you need anything that isn't super rare let me know, but I don't really need to keep any of this stuff. EDIT: Big, big thank you to Yazar8 for loaning me nearly everything on my list! B)

Thanks, GK! All good points. The strategy for the next event will be totally different, as will the circumstances of the party. The planning is already well underway :) If you're interested in security, shoot me a PM.
-
Thanks for coming! The next event will probably be somewhere quieter, but I have no regrets about this party either. The grenade spamming was, in a way, very fitting and a more-than-acceptable substitute for the flare gun fireworks we all missed out on :)
-
Expect lots of PMs from me in the coming weeks :p Stay tuned for part 2, everyone! :)
-
Unfortunately we didn't get to do a lot of the stuff we were hoping to do, including the flare gun fireworks :( That's okay though, there will be another event soon!
-
To anyone who attended: 1. What would you do differently? Anything at all. 2. Was this time/day of the week good for you, or would another time have been better? 3. What did you like about the event? Not looking for compliments, just trying to get a sense of what works and what doesn't.
-
Yes, ladies and gents, there will be another event in the near future :) Lessons have been learned from this experience, and the next event will only be that much better for it. Please feel free to say anything you'd like here, good or bad, as long as it's constructive. EDIT: Started a thread for pictures from the event here.
-
I wouldn't bother, it's not the safest spot to be right now. No one else stuck around after they realized all the bodies had gone :( BIG thank you to everyone who attended! Please feel free to flood myself or this thread with feedback and suggestions for the next event.
-
Everything is now gone except the fireplaces :( If you want, feel free to head back. Try and bring matches!
-
A few hours, 2 or 3 maybe. Assuming all goes well. ~25 minutes!
-
I think I'll be taking a vote for the date/time/place on the next event. Make sure you chime in for that one so we can make it easier for you to attend :)
-
It can't hurt to gather as many consumable as possible (food, wood/sticks/rags/paper for fires, etc.) but I think everything else is pretty well covered. Make sure you've got a flare gun :) I'll be on in about an hour and a half to get settled, and I'll begin prep a little closer to the start time.

Nail on the head right here.

Driving 10 people to a war zone... [Pavlovo] [1PP] [3:20]

Loved the roadkill at the end :p Great video! -
I'm still up in the air as to whether or not this would be best at night or during the day. My last party was at night, and it was great, but social gatherings don't have to be at night automatically. I'll see what can be done about that, if anything. Still working out the details. I wouldn't worry about ghosting. If it's going to happen, it will happen (people logging off there beforehand), and locking the EU server won't entirely prevent it. I'll help you look for fertilizer before the party!
-
Haha sorry! I'm surprised you didn't run into any trouble last night. I guess anybody with bad intentions is saving their bullets for tonight :p
-
They call it the "Trumpet" in-game for whatever reason, so you're not mistaken. I knew what you meant, I was just being silly because we're talking about a .22 ;)
-
Come to think of it, I'm in exactly the same boat as you. I was always an FPS guy (mainly Battlefield games), but I've played the vast majority of my 900+ hours in third person. It has nothing to do with trying to gain an advantage either, and I even shoot most of my screenshots in first person. If I had to venture a guess, I would say that the specific perspective of the current third person view is enjoyable to me because it more easily allows me to take in the whole environment and not just what's right in front of me. That said, I still very much enjoy the game in first person and would never even consider abandoning the game were it to become the only mode. It's nice to see strides being made in "fixing" third person nonetheless.

You didn't miss it, it's tonight ;)
