Only if they add the ability to use it! I don't see a generator anywhere :p -

That box of nails has so many possibilities... -
It's been stated outright several times that expanding the map isn't something that is going to happen. It's a huge technical hurdle from what I understand, and they don't see any benefit to going through the trouble when the map is already huge. Extending to Novigrad, if you include a proportionate amount of coast, would be a map roughly ten times the size of the current one. That's insanity. It's not a performance issue, as rendering distance has a set limit regardless of map size. If they expand at all, the only way to go would be West or South in my opinion. If they go South, more islands could be included like Utes... if they go West a little, Miroslavl is basically just off the existing western edge of the map. I don't see any expansion happening at all though, not in the vanilla Standalone.

Adding smoke to the fireplace to act as a signal // Way of attracting players.
Tatanko replied to Bab's topic in Suggestions
I like the idea of picking up leaves or needles and throwing them on the fire for smoke. Upvoted your ticket on the feedback tracker :) -
I can get behind this. OP, I feel your pain. I've had a sword twice since they've been introduced, and I always feel like a badass carrying one around, but the performance is disappointing. It's great fun for slaying zombies with the long reach that it has, but I would rather use a fire axe against another player.

Congrats, Falcon! :) More than anything, this guy is entertaining. Few people appeal to everyone, but if anyone could, it's SF!
-
Oh, I know. Soon it won't be though. I've never had the chance to use one, so I figured I would try it out for a bit. If you need another one, I'm sure I'll get bored with it eventually and you can have it for an AK or something if you'd like.

If you use a pipe gun, you could become unarmed  -
Yup! Traded him my MP5. He gave me the field jacket and vest as well.

Congrats to Lilith! :) Any of you who are not familiar with her work should check out her Twitter (@Lucratea). She also did a painting of one of my screenshots which you can check out here.

Greetings, survivors! Some of you may be familiar with the invite-only social event I held around Christmas called the Skalisty Island Holiday Social. I would like to do something similar to celebrate the arrival of Spring in the northern hemisphere. The first day of the Spring season is March 20th this year, but for the sake of convenience the event would be held the following evening. I would like to gauge interest for such an event and take suggestions regarding the planning process. The idea is this: we want to welcome the beginning of warm weather, and what better way to do that than roast meat over a fire and drink a few beers? :) It is my hope to make this a public event in the interest of not excluding anyone who would like to join in on the fun. I was very disappointed to see how many people would have liked to attend our holiday party but were unable to because they didn't even know it was happening. There are some challenges to holding a public event, such as security, but I am confident that with the right server and the right support, we can all enjoy a friendly social gathering. Based on feedback and experiences from the holiday event (and the ensuing map changes in 0.53), Skalisty Island will not be the location for this event. The remoteness of that place was great for security, but it was difficult for people to join the gathering and there are all kinds of logistical challenges as far as getting resources to that island (it doesn't have much of its own available to use). This event's location will be easier to get to and less taxing in terms of collecting resources to use. Participants will be encouraged to bring items along which they are willing to either contribute or trade with other survivors. An area will be designated for this. EDIT: Poll now added. Please share your opinion on public vs. private! EDIT 2: A server has been determined. See info below. Here's what I've got so far... Date, Time, and Server -March 21st, 2015 -7:00PM Eastern (GMT -4)(23:00 GMT) -Musty Gaming - 3PP US Private Shard Server (info here and here) Location -Otmel Island Activities-Barbecue (all kinds of meat welcome, beef/pork/chicken provided)-Drinking (kvass, but real alcohol encouraged ;))-Campfire stories-Music-Trading post Suggestions-Flare gun fireworks show (suggested by: Belphegor)-Dance competition (suggested by: DURRHUNTER)-Tactical bacon eating contest (suggested by: Death By Crowbar)-Various crowd activities (suggested by: krazypenguin)-Campfire RL instruments (suggested by: SomeCallMeNomad)-Costumes (suggested by: SomeCallMeNomad)-Truck race (suggested by: DaNic2553)-Archery competition (suggested by: Odin Lowe)-Triathlon (suggested by: Helix2000) Suggestions welcome!

He lived longer than almost anybody, too! When shots would randomly ring out over the party, everyone would duck for cover, but not him... good ol' raBit just kept on farming in his bright red outfit, sticking it to the man trying to bring down everyone's fun

Thanks, Bill! :) I'm not bitter about it at all, honestly. It was a big learning experience in many ways and it was fun regardless. The explosions were even fun in an unexpected way, but I'm glad the hacker(s) were dealt with swiftly. My goal with this particular event was to see just how public I could be and still have people be civil -- turns out you can gather a dozen or more random people at a time for over an hour (with MANY people coming and going) with minimal security before things go sour. It's important to remember that it was outsiders who caused the issue; those attending the party were 99% civil with each other.
