I think it could be supported by setObjectTextureGlobal , better if hardcoded. However it can only work on rare objects that have a selection planned for that use (a squared empty frame at a specific location which display default texture but could be overlayed with a custom one). It may work on vehicles (large selection), but cannot mix colors.

Sleeping pills take at least 20mn to take effect. gaz (chloroform) ? I would say few minutes... It's quite long ingame! But through injection, it's a matter of seconds :)

Sir you don't have to tell me that. I mean : development, core design, relevent objectives, financial accounting, human resources & roadmap, it's all up to BIS. And they have alway said and keep saying : There will be no NPC, no quests/scripts. That's all... PS : NPC zombie and animal, are AI. But zombie and animal, are not NPC. Even if misused, this is the implicit joint definition 178095 (-1?) forum members would quite agree with it. -
I think I remember door or gate animation (states opened/closed) are coded a way that it cannot really interpolate middle states the way you want to work. However sound is very much possible.

Guess what will happen when players will get their hummer+grenade launcher, and nothing else to do further... That's why I would rather devs to implement non-offensive features orientation such : cooking,hunting,bariccading,etc - And yes I definitely support car customization (engine/chassis improvments, paint, searchlight, loudspeaker, trailer, homemade camo car-covers). At least if at some point vehicle owner would get bored, a such customized vehicle won't incite much to turn serial killers since not behind the wheel of a killing-machine.

Easy, set a limit to save performance (let's say 50). If max number corpse exceed (50+1), the oldest one in the pool disappear. -
So it would make sense to re-balance food & water. Don't you think? ----- OP initially took up Dean Hall words on how complex it will be to repair and manage a car with random scavenged parts (this is customization, intended or not). I repeat, he talked about : a car. A simple car, you know. With primary function to move (faster) from point A to B. No less no more. ...and it's already going to end with that existential question : "should I mount a gatling or a missile launcher on my military grade automobile?" :facepalm:

@srgnt.pepper It is not the point of pros/cons it could bring, nor of how credible it would be, nor of how rare they must be. It is just on core design discrepancy.

Let's stick back to the realistic survival game design. We are guys wearing dirty canvas pants with rotten kiwis in pockets, and carrying hoe to defend themselves, struggling against fate. Do you really believe someday we should sit in big HMMWV car with grenade-launchers mounted on top that could blow hundreds zombies and enemies just like in a Quentin Tarantino movie. Come on...

Having Mosin Nagant doesn't mean year is 1950. You've seen a humvees wrecks? me not yet (tell me where please). Your assumption is there is some leftover US equipment, mine is there is no "keep the change" with even a single $140000 military automobile if it could be repaired and bring back in ship cargo hold. I believe you want ArmA II or all DayZ mod vehicles in SA, but it will not happen (just like weapons). You are on the wrong game, be prepared to be disapointed.

It doesn't mean outbreak happened during or just right after ArmA II end campaign, some time (months?years?) may passed. "Where do you think all American military gear came from?" May be from sales...? An army frequently refresh its weapon stocks, adopt new ones, etc... Having few M4 rifles doesn't mean they bought the full panoply from USA. (because you know it's a little expensive...) Did you see Hummer wrecks arounds? so don't even look for pristine one with loaded weapon and key on dashboard gently waiting on supermarket parking.

So you expect to access USS Khe Sanh aircraft carrier aswell ? :lol: PS : you (and we) know nothing about storyline and DayZ backstory, since devs said nothing about it.

1. I bet devs won't make NVG compatible with any helmet (for balancing concerns). So the extremly rare NVG you want attach on exotic US army helmet you would never see in post-soviet Chernarus is solved. 2. A new compass (modern & civilian) will be implemented someday. I don't know if it will glow. However a head torch will solve that. 3. It's part of gameplay to manage slot/items. Deal with it. 4. It would require too much work for artists, time they'd better spend on essential features.

Food is too easy to find B) I have tons in backpack (PS:it's hard to die of starvation with canina berries). Just as now I would suggest to reduce food. For the futur : + Fix incoming, more spawn loot points= more food? + Hunting/fishing (quite more food).

The first -if not the only- mounted "weapon" I would expect for DayZ, is a searchlight / spotlight (scavenged from cop's car?) operated by passenger. **Warning, video may offense

While Blood bags in DayZ mod were essential, players actually sulk them in DayZ SA. 1- Saline bag do the job easier and safer. 2- Full Blood bags don't spawn, you have to find empty one then collect blood from someone. 3- Transfusion will kill you if wrong blood type injected. 4- (I can't figure out how to test already full Blood bag looted from someone else inventory). 5- Blood Test Kit are rare and single-use only. Initially you need at least two of them (2 slots): One for you + one for the guy you collect blood. How to restore Blood bag popularity ? Here my suggestions concerning Blood Test Kit : * It would be interesting to add Blood Test Kit within First Aid Kit items (along with bandage,syringe,IV start kit,...) , in order to reduce its rarity. * It would be interesting to add multiple uses to Blood Test Kit (100%) where, for instance, each use remove -25% (more if not pristine). --- Edit (08 FEB) : Instead multiple uses (unrealistic), Blood Test Kit could be a "stackable" spawned item. Just like rags or bullets -> combined in one slot. * If you inspect a Blood Test Kit, you will notice an empty white texture on the back : < > ... I suggest to print a table reminder on it : IMHO it would encourage and ease the use of Blood bag game mechanic without deep changes on itself. --- Edit (08 FEB) Another suggestion Blood Test Kit related : Once your character tested and his blood type revealed, an icon reminder could be displayed forever (until he die). -Why? Since some play DayZ occasionally, from week to week they may just forget it. Also we may confuse with second character from public/hardcore hive (different type). --- Edit (12 FEB) Last suggestion : Allow blood test from looted/found/owned Blood bags through Syringe So far (version 0.35) : Test blood from Syringe sample is possible. If you collect blood from someone, you could not be sure about his blood type - unless you apply Blood Test Kit on him. If you haven't yet a Blood Test Kit, the whole operation would be useless! Because currently* you cannot test blood type from Blood bags. So, the first suggestion is to allow blood test from looted/found/owned Blood bags through Syringe. *So far (version 0.35) : Test blood from Syringe sample is possible But Syringe cannot collect blood from Blood Bags Alternative way, Blood Test Kit directly on Blood Bag (no syringe). **************************************** Let's assume I've got two blood bags and (in one way or the other) I've determined their type. The one on the left is O- and the right is AB+ Few hours later... My inventory is messy again because I've dropped/traded some stuff and finally switched the rest in a new backpack. Anyway, there is still on the left my...err... Hey!! Which of these blood bags is the O+ and which is AB+ ?? Now we have an overview of this issue, to keep inventory practical even if untidy and not spoil one or two rare Blood Test Kit, I suggest to use a Pen (to write) on Blood Bag. I would not like icon reminder for this, since inventory is supposed to only display factual information. While those added by players could be wrong or intend to mislead. An overlay texture with alpha channel (transparency) would do the job. A quick glance at inventory could not show the mark, but most probably a closer look (in hands or inspect) would.

Because if rare, you would not afford to "abandon" it anywhere on the ground : you would immediately scavenge & get its precious high-explosive and turn into IED, remote bomb, time bomb...
