I've herded animals through a town before to clear it of zeds but I've never considered trying that on a town with people in it.... things to think about.

I almost always carry extra food, water/soda and at least one other item besides the can opener to open cans, one never knows what will happen from day to day and preparation is just smart. I will also carry an extra weapon or two with some reasonable extra clothes, one never knows when the spirit of charity will strike and cause you help someone else. If you are not carrying extra items I would have to suppose that you are simply resigned to die soon and often without any particular regard to anyone else and there is nothing wrong with that but don't assume that everyone plays your way. and if you think I am fool for carrying extra food/drink, I'll race you to debug island and back with just the stuff in my pack vs. just the stuff in your pack.

yeah I would have agree the heights are kinda out of sorts - nothing like loosin ya life to a one meter fall off a rock - but I suspect the construction sites, all (or most) of the apartment buildings, and a few other climbable structures are high enough. novo is full of such places.

well that's just silly as in real life I am quite capable of stepping off of any high location to my impending death without any real obstacles. for a game that somehow strives for "realism" there are a lot of hugely unrealistic suggestions from the community.

after about 10 mins of running around as a chubby black guy I killed myself so I could respawn as myself (more or less). we need more choices by the way.

gee I would play it even if it were single player with 10k zeds on the map - in fact I might enjoy that more than multiplayer as the ingame community sux. I still don't play CoD or Bf4 and I still don't want to.

well when .49 rolls out to stable all those duped grenades will be gone - just like everything else that's been duped - and we all get to start fresh again. hopefully they will have solved the duping issue once and for all but I won't hold my breath on that one.

yeah I have one that got ruined a while back that I still carry full of those chem lights I wanna toss all around the clocktower in novo - and if I need a quick 6 slots everything in the ruined vest is disposable so I can just chuck it and its contents. use it while I can? yes. miss it when its gone? not so much.

I've often contemplated that shot before myself, seems doable enough. I popped a guy at NEAF one morning at just over 700 meters while he was dancing with a zed. big problem with the rocks shot is getting spotted from the clock tower or factory towers as those locations are close enough to hear the shots from and can be covered with a lesser rifle and scope. of course I could also just suffer from a bit of sniper paranoia....

it seems like it would be something that wouldn't be too difficult to add to the "p" menu as that menu gets all of its information from the server, why not the server identifier as well?

so lately I've been RPing a Chenarussian sniper that has had the pleasure of watching her unit get eaten by the locals while on overwatch near svetlo so she's taken to the hills. she's a local from Dolina and her uniform is a bit of a mess at the moment but it still mostly consists of the basic milspec gear - gorka summer with pilotka cap and combat boots but its all been ruined lately so I am in search of more. luckily she still has her trusty sidearm with a few extra mags and her rifle with the LRS so finding a more appropriate uniform shouldn't be too difficult - it would be horrible if this all came to an end one day and I was out of uniform....

oh it gave me a good chuckle - not bad ideas concerning hunting too, maybe a bit more complex than the animals they original had planned but simple animals are boring imo. bears, we need bears.

I recommend running the typical spawn locations on a single server and NOT hopping.

gees I just couldn't take it anymore..... its "spoor" not "spore". spores are seeds for mold.

I've run the battery down in a pistol light before by leaving it on and in my backpack. never paid any attention to the sight, I just always have to remember to turn it on when I load to a server and so far it always comes on.

I was looking over those tents in a video I saw yesterday and it seems to me that the color is perfect if you set the tent in a group of trees on a small hill - when you skyline the tent the color more or less matches the sky - or in a group of large rocks - so far the big ones (rocks that is) are about the same size and roughly the same shape as one of those tents with a closely approximating color. it seems risky I know but I am willing to bet that they will be easier to hide in this fashion as opposed to trying to hide all that blue against a green/brown background. just a thought. I'll give it a try in the event I ever manage to find a tent.

hrm maybe we could use the ingame maps to start fires with once we have scribbled all over them to the point of unreadablility. I have often wondered why I can't draw mini mouse pics on my map even tho I have a pen. it would be nice if I could pass an edited map to a friend (like I am ever gonna have any o them in the game) and let them make a copy of my notes to their map. could work like pouring one canteen to another so the menu would just add "copy map" to the "combine map" menu if you have a pen. I use the ingame map so much that I gave a whole map to some guy yesterday as soon as I had it complete just so I can go find more pieces to put together - woulda been nice if I coulda left a nice little note on it for him.

so I had spawned in this morning on experimental somewhere south of NEAF so I takes a little run through the woods n hills to find the western end of novo. rifle through some apts once I get there and I have a little gear. its been 2 or 3 hours and I haven't seen a soul. I was rather just enjoying the scenery and taking my laid back time about things when I realize I am just down the street from the police station. I go have a casual look. nothing. so I heads off to the clock tower and find a crawling man just inside. give him some morphine for his broke leg and a full map cause hes never seen one before and he says there aint shit up stair so I head off again, leaving the now walking/running man behind. after another hour or so just knocking around different places in novo (that place is really big) I head back to the clock tower with lots of fun chem lights n flares and find that guy again so I tell him whats up and I head up the clock tower dropping chem lights. I get back to the bottom and toss a couple of flares on either side of the front entrance and back off a ways to take some pretty pictures. did mention it was getting dark? after I got a couple of nice pics I realized that the guy was no where to be seen, I guess he wasn't the festive type. anyho, I found one of those little food stands off to one side of the square in front of the clock tower and decide I need a slightly elevated pic or two and I climbs up and take a couple pics. its pretty dark now and I have stuff to around the house so I go to log off and as my finger touches but not presses the esc. key an sks rings out and I see "you are dead" it was fun.

I have to admit its fucking hilarious. I am quite sure it would be much less annoying if they were easily navigated. Were they all empty? Just curious.

seems pretty rare to me too, I've been feeding my FNX with 1911 mags but I haven't seen any loose or boxed ammo for .45 in ages. I have seen a couple of 9mm pistols and quite a few mags, loose ammo and boxed ammo in 9mm. the shotgun ammo seems to be EVERYWHERE at the moment too.

yeah the clock towers are awesome and I was actually being facetious however it wouldn't bother me in the least to find one show up in vybor (just not to useful as you have noted), it would only serve as another reason to have shoot em ups on the streets of vybor and not really add any substance to NWAF. I chose vybor cause it has a bit too much already with the 3 or 4 piano houses, med center, school and police station all it needs is a fire station and clock tower to be a major metropolis oh and some apartments, cant forget those. I don't usually try shots with the mosin over 850 to 900 meters (mostly guessing) but I have noticed that when I do find a zed at that distance they don't animate (players do) and you shoot them they just stand there till they despawn (unless another player interacts with them). currently my draw distance is pretty far but I am not really sure how far, I can still see players at a distance I would not try shooting them from so theres that.
