Christ it'd break your wrist... have any of you ever actually fired the mosin nagant in real life? I know that there are actual specimens of these "pistols" out there but why?? I've owned a model 1891 and while its a beautiful rifle the 7.62x54r has the recoil of a rhinoceros - it hurts to shoot.

maybe they could just forego the "realism" for nighttime and hang a permanent full moon - nights under the full moon with normal gamma and brightness are beautiful and not to crazy dark

oh I am quite certain that it will happen at some point and at which time some poor individual gets to suffer some blood loss and broken bones (I'm not one to just outright kill someone just for being there) if I am in a good mood I might even offer some assistance after a bit of disarmament - then again it could all go south and I start off on the coast again ;)

oh. you rent a server and the hosting company provides the equipment (at their location of course) while you as the renter get admin access to the server. some are cheap, relatively speaking, and some are not. good luck and have fun :) as a side note you can look over some the server names to get an idea of who is hosting

shoot em in the leg - in almost 430 hours of gameplay I've never had anyone log on right next to me and I do tend to watch my surroundings quite a lot. but hey whatever floats yer boat dude.

Oh I see, makes good sense and that would kinda suck. I find there are a ton of empty to low pop servers for stable already.

good point - I want the option to sling both the M4 and the Mosin cause that axe fits me backpack. I have no use for subduing people.

apparently tasers are coming and the new .22s are almost non-lethal. of course you can always subdue someone with a baseball bat or a pipe wrench you can even punch em out but why so much interest in subduing someone unless you are planning on being a thief?

so couldn't you just separate the characters from the private hives and the public hives much the way experimental and stable are separate here? never played the mod, saw a ton of vids (which prevented my playing the mod) and I would have to agree some o that stuff was a bit over the top.

I found two of em day before yesterday at NEAF when my game kept crashing in one of the jail buildings - I had to adj my vid settings to low just to get off the base but I was not about to skip the loot - anyway they do still spawn there but they also spawn a lot of other places... try the rooftop of the fire stations in electro, found a couple there too, just keep your head down.

oh I've had this happen before. Have no idea what causes it, I just assumed it was my gfx driver failing due to the settings in the game being too high or the gpu getting a bit too hot.

I keep telling myself one of these days I'll shoot on sight but so far I've always said something before attempting to kill someone else (like 3 or 4 times now). yesterday morning I was at the mil base north of kamenka and encountered someone coming out of a barracks I was just about to go in to, I said "I see you but I won't shoot, have fun..." and made my quickly off the base as he was coming from where I was going so no point looting there anymore. Point is I didn't even bother to KOS even on a military base. I seem to have an aversion to murder altho I am not entirely sure the person I didn't shoot shares that attitude, he did have a gun on his back but no weapon in his hands and I was pointing an M4 at him so I felt I had the upper hand in the situation and used it to take my leave.

I don't understand why you simply didn't find an exit and engage them outside once you realized that indoor combat with buggy zeds was not an option. at the very least run, you can always loot somewhere else once the heat is off.

kinda what I was thinkin but the one I found in the super market was still half way in the floor - I haven't seen any outside of military locations since 36 went stable tho.

this is what it does. I've used badly damaged compensators that are about as useless as none at all but a pristine makes a HUGE difference.

OP you've gotten a bit testy so I will take my leave of this pointlessness shortly. my first response, I must confess, was driven by my interest in the fact that you profess to being a part of the problem then offer your "pie in the sky" solution as a viable suggestion without having done your due diligence to see if this has already been addressed, which it has. my mistake, however, was assuming I was dealing with an adult. try searching for "reset timer" and "loot respawn" its been covered - not an insult at all its just a reflection of your overall behavior - I should know, I've raised 3 children well past that age and they usually stop behaving like children once they have been given a good reason to. mine were relatively mature around age 14.
