Theres a part of me that knows good and dam well with the amount asshatery and sheer dumb asshery that takes in game already that this would push it over the edge :huh: You all know good and well what will happen....there will be people throwing poop at each other in no time and only god knows what else......I could not even imagine the videos that would be made. God forbid what if some dumb ass kid starts throwing poop at school, and DayZ gets blamed for it on CNN, "Thee young teen began throwing poop at his class mates, after taking a massive crap on his desk shouting your all a bunch of combat loggers and hackers! The whole country is in a state of shock. It was well know he was a DayZ player...and died allot and finally lost his shit". Just like sandy hook except with poop this time, every one lives but has to live in shame the rest of there lives...They always will remember the day when that kid threw shit at them.

I have played prob more time by my self then grouped in day z. I feel I have learned more about the game running around for several months on my own. Although I have always had a resident group. So I play solo and grouped....does not matter. I confident one way or the other. With that said I don't have really any issues with crew weapons or vehicle added in so long as there is way to defend yourself against them. No problem. The more options. The better with in reason. I am responding to others on this thread not really the OP. Sounds like a wall of projecting and weirdness. I have been coming here a while haven't seen to many anti team or anti crew weapon talk...not sure were that rant was coming from...Maybe OP had a bad session in day z today..I that's the case it not a good idea to vent here. Guys like me will rub your nose in it even more.

I view the new truck almost as a novelty thing in dayz currently, not really even all that practical other getting around little faster. There not persist yet and you cant carry anything but a passenger yet. Driving them is fun, riding passenger is kind of laggy. There noisy even for a liter server in fact I got shot at in one lol Not something I'm going to go crazy looking for. sorry to sound like a party pooper, it is good to see them. But it is still pretty early

How well does it work as against zombies and peoples, as good the fire axe?

I used to play Pirates of the Burning Sea, which had a completely ran player economy. The pvp, group missions ect were pretty taxing. Once I got into economy it was like having second job. I had 3 characters on there, all doing economy so I could a rich pig in game. Then I formed my own group...too much time. At the time I worked at night. So that's all there was too when got off. EvE heard is really time consuming as well DayZ I think what takes time is gearing and getting to point a to b. Losing everything can take a split second. Dayz for me is kind of taxing on time, but not as bad as a full on MMORPG. I find if can keep my avatar alive, and geared halfway decent for a long period of time...that in it self saves time. Then its really just travel time in game to meet friends or explore and topping off food. It kind of becomes easy, until I get shot or fall off a ladder. But I really don't feel like I'm losing out by not playing for a couple days like I did when I played POTBS. When you log out you log out.

I have been playing since last feb.. I have seen 2 that I know for a fact with my own eyes....in a year. But there have been times I have been on a server were others have in my group seen map glitchers and loged off quickly. But its pretty rare for me to see them. There out there, just rare. I did some research on dayz "hackers" a while ago....well there not really "hackers" at all there "cheaters" the use 3rd party software to cheat with. The real hackers are the ones who make them. Stuff like ESP, teliport ect ect... Basicly its malware. Malware is basicly a peice of software that give your ip to someone else for the 2 do what ever they want with. Its kind of like giving someone you dont know the key to your house whos shady and hoping you dont get robed...its the truth. So these "hackers" may pay a really heavy price using programs like that...no joke. Some shady ass shit man. Basicly by having one of those "hacks" on your system to cheat in dayz, you put your ID at serous risk and could pay a heavy price in RL just to cheat in a game that has no score board....Pretty dumb if you ask me. I think most who are aware even if the want to do it, will not becuase the price can be really heavy. It really lose lose for everyone. I think its great the devs added extra measure to screen for "hackers". I still hear about them....for me its hard to tell with people though. I cant tell if there just making up excuses for dieing or they really did see one....That is getting really old.

DayZ is something I like to do after work, after I get everything ready for the next day dont have anything to worry about. RL is always 1st no matter what. When I play, in spirts. I play for prob 45 min to an hour then take a break for 15 min. Then log in again rinse recycle repeat. I drink beer when I play normally so I normally half snockered, which pretty much takes the edge off of the game and the whole day in general. So Im pretty much totally relaxed playing, only sometimes tencing up...yes thats right.....I find dayz well....to be relaxing.. For me video games are a huge part of my life, since the atari. So pretty much is my hobbies that and boating. So its prob something I always do even when Im in a nursing home. Take care of you RL 1st always, sounds like indie games is a great goal. Indie games are taking off right now. The high tech industry is pretty asome regardless, lots of money. You allot to be excited about. The game and the people you meet online to play games with will always be there waiting when you have time. Just dont get in the habit of puting games before your RL tasks. One reason I try to avoid games like WOW, I did play one MMORPG. There kind of taxing on time.

You know this reminds me, I was down in SE part of the map the other night and walked in this house, noticed in the back of it someone hand some garden patches and veggys laying around....Alls kinds of stuff LOL I felt kind of bad for being there, this is some players house! It appeared who ever was there settled them selves in nicely.....I took one tomato and left. I love hunting in game, and building fires too. I need to do some fishing soon I have the hook....Farming I am still yet to try. Survival stuff is fun... I hope they can get persist working longer then a week soon.

I tell you guys something almost every build since I been playing, I go with the mosin with LRS and .357 combo since last feb. So yeah sometimes I shoot player, zombies and animals at really long ranges...Its fun dont knock it. It isnt just point and click like ricp says, you gotta figure out distances, find a good position and deal with sway. But if you think for a second I just hide away some where you got another guess coming. In fact the last jerk off I shot in game was at point blank, idiot tried to sneak up on me. So I dont wanna hear your anti mosin talk, anti long gun talk. Infact 90% of the KOSers "Bandit" use ak style rifles or M4s....OP is really drawing negative attention to a play style that dosnt need it and he sure as hell doesn't "REP" me. He should keep it to him self. Overwatch and scout play style is also super helpful for group play. Theres allot of asome things about it. Its prob OPs vary 1st mosin with Ghillie suit ever, and its going to his stupid dumb ass head. Prob some teenager who dosn't know his ass from a hole in the ground yet. God dam kids these days JESUS CHRIST!

Son your giving people who prefer mosin with LRS, and the overwatch/scout playstyle a really bad name posting shit like this. What are ya 12? As far as sniping goes, well its not a good word to use on the forums....All the anti KOS rage folks will come out of the wood work and troll you into obivion and pricp will start accusing people of having small testys....say overwatch. I noticed when I say I like playing a overwatch play style no one says anything. Its kind of a sounds more like a scout role, and helpful to team game play. Dont ever admit to killing freshys or kosing on the forums...all the built up rage from being kosed and general piss poor game play preformance rage will be vented onto you....its sooooo true. Also LRS being removed from the mosin is not 100% confirmed yet, atleast not that I have seen. Even if they do it from what I understand, the real deal alaskan 308 is coming.....I cant wait, I will quickly forget about the old crusty gun. You can take my come take my mosin. Also at some point the SVD will be added too.

Aww this goes back to what I said on the last page. Sure a seasoned player, but newer players tend to be the ones crying hacker more then anyone. They don't really know. I have heard it on TS before. "Man hackers keep killing me, like 3 times today."........Really??? How is that posible. The reason they do it, is becuase they dont want to admit they still have some learning to do. They also know that there is no way to prove it wasnt...so what better excuse to blame ones short coming on. I see right through it. The reason I rant about it, is becuase dayz has got a way worce rap then it deserves. There are people on the forums, and on TS , that make it sound like dayz is completly infested with hackers....I think it is a cop out, and really negative counter productive crap. Im not saying there not there, there are legit cases. Im saying there are allot of people that use it as an excuse. I bet you with some kind of accountablitly on who does what in game, the hacker claims will die down......But ohhhh man they will need a new boogie man to blame there short comings on......wonder what that will be.......Ghillie suited ninja snipers.....yeah yeah that it...Statistics show the avarage dayz player only live 1 hour and a half....why not just expept that something is going to kill your avatar at some point...its part of the game.

Right, it seems there should be more accountabilty then there is. Thats part of the problem. Legit cases of it would be easier to find out who was behind it. Right now you cant even take anyones word for anything, with out it documented. I think thats one of the reasons why people tend to blame hackers for all there deaths, is becuase there no way to prove it wasnt or was. They dont have to fess up to there own mistakes. Me presonally I think that his subject has stired up allot of negative talk about this game, for me it seems that the issue is blown way bigger then it should be. I think accountabilty is what this game needs, legit cases can be investigated, none legit cases can be easlily debunked.

Well I'll tell you the same thing, film it. In my time playing I have seen it 2 times that I know for a fact. I have been playing since feb 2014 on the SA. In .51 they added anti hack to the SA battle eye were they scan your system for known hacks...like esp and the like. I have HEARD there are new ones, and folks are dropping dead left and right do to them, while on a high pop in electro....or what ever other death trap. But I for sure have not seen any recently, just in the past week I was on several high pops. So I tell you next time you have prof film it. Show it to the staff and log what time it was and what server you were on and send it to one of the staff. Log it and present it to the staff..its prob more helpful then posting it here. I would rather you show it to them, there the ones who can do something. So film it log the time and server.

Yep totally agreed. Its kind rare to see one in the SA. Its used as an excuse far too often. It really is. I am sure there are cases were it is true, but they need to film it and report it. Otherwise its just a claim.

You did that right thing then and handled it right, you filmed it. Get there name and report them. There out there, theres not as many as people think though. I have seen 2 since I have been playing. I saw a map glitcher and I mean my god he covered about 400 meters in about 3 seconds. Glitched in front of me then behind shot me dead. Real easy to tell on that one...I remember even my game started slowing down when he got near me. But Its pretty rare for me to see one. Almost like a ufo sighting.

Well there is the fact that some things are buggy. Sometimes the game crashes....But really that all can be excused to an extent seeing this is alpha. This is known though. Really I dont see that many issues other then some of the mechanics are a bit crude. I have learned over time playing in TS, that sometimes in game deaths or other mis fortunes can cause players to have be come ubnormal ubset that you really dont see in other games. It can cause pretty over the top reactions and blame. Its a game that is really hard on players, and is too much to bare for some new players...When you die, 9 chances out of 10 you lose all your shit....This causes some newer players who are not used to prema death allot of greif. I mean we all heard it, "Fucking hackers got me again! I quit". But they have zero prof. When you question them, the only reason why they say it was a hacker is becuase they didn't see them...9 chances out of 10 they are in some death trap city on a 50 pop. Or "I fell off a cliff.....Fuck this game!"..I heard it all and I call bull shit on allot of it. Just go into expecting to be hard, and dont take it out on the game. Also much of the glitchyness we see in game has to do with server ping more then anything. Its not really the game its the server your on....you gotta log off and find another server if there is glitches. I get kind of tired of hearing about it. If theres so many hackers, why have I not died? I have been alive since nov 12....yes I wrote it down. Been on all kinds of servers, why has nobody come magiclly up to me and shot me dead? I have not fallen off a cliff or fell of any objects...Anyone who has tried to kill me got a 1st class trip back to the coast. You got no fucking excuse other then ya need to read up and learn how to survive, and be mindful of servers you log into...If its a glitchy server log out when see it...dont just keep playing on it....watch fucking frankie videos and the likes for a few days, be humble and admit it. Dont get all mad.

I pretty much found what I needed and quite looking for it. But in .51 I never found any looked a couple times then gave up and just played with out it, now in .52 I found some after looking in only looking in 2 areas the fishing vil then riffy. A couple of freinds of mine have the full g suit, they also found quite a few stacks, they can pretty much hide any were there is trees, bushes or grass...it works vary well. Me presonally I just wanted the head peice and rap. I am used to hiding with out any aids I learned to be pretty good at hiding, really it just seals the deal even more. I dont feel like losing my back pack. I noticed that full G suit players always seem to be on the brink of starving LOL Wookies are like cookie monsters......feeeed me feeeeed me. lol I am only half wookie. This is true, its more of a player skill base game then what kind of gear you have. I learned over time you can really survive just fine with just a basic kit if you want to. Blending in can be done with just basic civ loot. A geared player say with a vest, mil style helmet really ony get some protection from that. Really you just have to shot them maybe 1 or 2 extra times, your odds of living after being shot go up slightly. I find that keeping my avatar healthy is just as good or both even better. There is also people who hunt down all the high end loot, then find out the hard way. Having high end gear is nice, but if your not a good player it is not going to help you be any better and really makes being sent back to the coast feel even worse. Your just giving the guy who shoots you more stuff. Kind of like a walking ATM. Then you know the rest...they come here and blame hackers and every thing else for there short comings. Pretty easy to see after a while isn't it lol I noticed with some players once they get "geared" they get kind of an ego. They then will pvp, maybe 2 sessions then die. They go down to electro or one of the other death trap citys, on a 50 pop run around in the middle of the street, shoot a couple freshys and expect people to be scared....Maybe some will be but, other people look at it like there even more of a target then a less geared player. More to gain. It truely amazes me how many players gravitate toward pvp death traps.....urban combat...so much. With lag, and everything else on top of that, if your new to this game you dont stand a god dam chance of surviving more then an hour or so doing that even with the high end gear. Not a chance. There almost better off making them selves less of a target and dressing down. Awwww Dayz lol what can you do.
