The reality is its only an expliot if its in tight close quarters, maybe med range. For me it dosn't effect me as much, becuase I lisen for audio ques as well. But far worst was the seeing through walls thing or bug. I think that what made this into such a over blown big issue on the forums. It really was a problem and still is in some cases, which amplified this issue a great deal. Maybe they should correct that, also if your against a wall, you cant look over it...many games do not allot you to look over walls or around walls. It simply zooms in when your close to a wall, so you cant look over it or around it. Thats sounds much more reasonable to me, then over the shoulder all the time. I would be just fine with that. So simply have it so when you inside or against a wall it zooms in enough so you can't peek around corners. Thats it. Is everyone happy now...I am :beans:

That 3pp view has been around for years and many loved it, like since 2001 OFP series and ARMA series. No one really complained about it til now, well not like this anyways. Becuase every knew there was a choice. Simple really....Now suddenly its a big problem lol....Its totally over blown issue here on this forum alone. Really all it is there not enough 1pp servers and no one seems to want to create any. I'm done debating about it serously anymore.....its going to go no where. There really isn't an issue other then folks need to create more 1pp servers.

Well to bad for you then! Beaucse ALL those 3pp / 1pp servers you see...PEOPLE PAID FOR THEM. You sound like your trying to inject your play style onto others the majority who enjoy 3pp, who put the effort to put the servers up. Just becuase you dont want to take the effort to make your own servers form groups your self....Sounds really lame to me man. Not even atempting to solve anything.

Well then play on 1pp servers then. Your talking to someone who has played this game both 1pp only and 1pp/3pp servers....There really is not that much of a difference between the 2. That peeking expliot will only help so much against someone like me, and its not broken. They have had that view in OFP series, Arma series for years now, people seem to like it. Theres nothing new about it or broken about 3pp. Its really just a pref thats all it is! Infact this issue on the forums is pretty out of control..way to much hype. Creating BS issues! Its really a none issue. Theres a clear choice..You don't like 3pp, then play on 1pp only servers. Not enough 1pp only servers, the create more of them and put out the money, just like the people who made all the 3pp/1pp servers did. Simple. Stop fighting about it, take charge, form groups and create servers. Its win win win for everyone!

Thats the only way there will be more servers up, if people put more servers up that are 1pp. It require server hosting, which costs money. People pay to have many those servers up we see on the list..that includes 3pp/1pp too. So you want more 1pp game play, you gotta get more servers up. It will take a group effort. But this trying to change 3pp players mind set, or game play will not work. So the REAL 1pp preference players are going to have to take charge of there own servers.. How do you think allot of those 3pp/1pp servers got up there.....people paid for them. Everyone I talk to on TS and steam who really play 1pp and prefer it. Say the issue is there is not enough servers that are 1pp only....So make more...simple. Allot of people do it in a group effort, like a donation type thing. There tons of servers that do that. Theres the real solution to having more 1pp game play servers.

Caboose in all serousness. If you really enjoy playing 1pp, and what to see more 1pp game play. YOUR going to have to do something about it your self. Your going to have to form a group and get together with other like minded 1pp players, to get groups started and more servers. Everyone I know who really does enjoy 1pp, says thats the real problem theres not enough server. So...do something about it. You can.

Did you read what I wrote. I said I play BOTH 1pp and 1pp/3pp servers! I play on servers the 1pp servers for that reason. I'm not telling anyone how to play. Did you bother to read what wrote last too....about 1pp players forming groups, and putting there own servers up? Putting up the money to get more 1pp servers up. No one wants too! That is the real issue with most real 1pp perference players I hear...just not enough servers....well put more up! Instead of coming here wining about it expecting 3pp players to change there game. Take some leadership and put up more 1pp servers! I love to see more of them! Instead of this let screw over 3pp players, with a dumb over the shoulder view. I'll tell you something I have played this game for 100s hours on both server types...there really isn't that big of an avantage from this "peeking" you speak of. Theres not. For me its really not that big of a difference playing on either or.

Well those players either can adapt or play on 1pp servers. Both groups I played with there was plenty on people who played on both. I did! I play both 1pp and 3pp/1pp servers, I like having the option there. This isn't even a argument. Its a waste of time and the devs time. The real issue is there isn't that many 1pp servers. Whos problem is that though? If people REALLY have an issue with 3pp, form 1pp groups, make more servers! Its up to the players to to get those servers and groups up. BUT no one does, instead they come on here, it dis 3pp players and wine and complain. They come up with these dumb over the shoulder ideas, which are just no good. What in the hell would be the point of doing over the shoulder? None! Screw up what everone else likes becuase theres this false idea in some peoples heads that 1pp some how makes you "hardcore". Really? The reason theres is not that many 1pp servers is becuase, no one has paid up the money, to get them up. These "Hardcore" players dont seem to want to take the time to do that, and to form there own clans that prefer 1pp. So to me thats there problem. It also makes me think that theres more too issue, like the whole "Hardcore" tag they used to have 1pp servers went to peoples heads...Then they come here to the forums, HEY look at me Im hard core cause I play on 1pp servers......Really Fing lame and dumb! Heres the deal guys. DayZ SA has an option, you can play one 1pp servers only, or play 3pp and 1pp servers. WTF is the problem? If you don't like 3pp servers, then just don't play on those server types. Simple! Its not even an issue!!! It is really rude to try to inject your play style onto other people when there ALREADY is an option to play on 1pp servers only! Or sway existing mechanics that works fine and people like! I was talking to a freind of mine a couple weeks ago and we had a really interesting conversation about games. He said something interesting that was really pretty true. The thing that made older games seem so much more magical is the forced you to use your imagination. Now days games are so off the charts, nothing is left up to the imagination.

Comodores and old Ataris I would say if they want to through them out, take them. Those are classics, and you sell them on E-Bay or keep them for your self. Don't let them just through them out LOL

I still have 2 commodores but have not even pluged them in, in quite a long time. I do remember the tapes, when I was a kid we were lucky and were given 2 floppy disk drives, that worked together. I never got a chance to use a tape machine. I do remember the tandys, that was back when radio shack was the coolest electronic store on earth! They had all the good stuff!

Me and my brother were like the kids from ET, we had BMX bikes we would ride around LOL I remember the early 80s going next store to play on my nabors atari. I was only like 7 or 8, it I remember it seemed so cool at the time. Pac Man, such a crude game, but still a blast to play even today. Donkey Kong we had on the comodore 64. Yes kids the CPU only had 64kB of ram! :o LOL. My moms boyfreind at the time was a really into software, you know when really was a ware, a gaint floppy disk. Hey got us 100s of bootleged games, and we became the coolests kids in the naborhood. I remember we had a modem too, and our freind down the street we would call him and talk to him on his CPU....early chat. I have been a gamer ever since. There was something magical about tech back then. War Games I watched prob 1200 times back then on VCR lol Now it almost seems too easy. When I'm your age and even older I will still play video games, because its just what I do! You should get an ole geezer clan going. I'll be your window into the hipster world hahahahaha. I play on all server pops, it really depends on my mood at any given day. As far as light to meduim servers go between say 1 to 15 players, I tend to travel, explore and loot on those. Honestly sometimes I want it alittle laid back, but with chance encounters. I some times just enjoy seeing the sites, and doing some of the other stuff the game has to offer, hunting and stuff like that. I also play solo about 80% of the time, so it safer. As far has heavy servers go, I will log onto those when I am quite frankly looking for pvp. Or looking for encounters. Which is common. Looking for trouble. I generally play on high pops when I want dayz not to be laid back, and be more of what dayz is known for. A pretty intence pvp experience. The reality is, really on high pops going point a to b or even being in a city could be just as dead as a low pop. I have been on high pops and only seen one or two players in a several hour session. I really think sometimes players gravitate toward an one area of the map. Sometime's I hear jerk offs on here dising people who play on low pops, or saying there hopers. Hoping is not nearly as big an issue as it was say 6 or 7 mothes ago, not even close. To me people who say stuff like that on here are ass hats pretty much. Don't expect me to buy the fact your some kind of hardened player for saying dumb shit like that.

I like the southern coast, I can get anything I need there with a few minutes hike.....even before LOOT FEST .50 WOOOO HOOO! :beans: :beans: :beans: :beans: :beans: :beans: :beans: ;) . I like cherno, bolota, the military base north west of there, Zelen. But really I go all over the map norm. I also really like Novo, more so when I'm a freshy. Its a great place for loot and they did a really good job on the city.

Normally these days when I'm a fresh spawn and have to regear, I norm will end up with an SKS at 1st,. You dont need mags for it, it has a simple attachment the PU. It not bad. But its not my end game gun though, thats for dam sure. Once I find parts for a mosin, or mags +ammo for one of the AKs. The SKS gets kicked to the curb. I lump the SKS in with guns like the CZ and the Blaze. They will get the job done for the time being, but are not really what I would go with for the long term. SKS is the best of those three.

Ha ha, man your really trying to when this debate on behalf of the SKS. Hey its a cool gun with the PU though, you can read above I wrote I liked it my self. I think its not a bad rifle, its kind of almost an assualt rifle, kind of a late WW2 era combat rifle. The SKS is prefectly good in game. Its not even a debate about which one is more effective. Skill has nothing to do with it between the 2. Of cource its much easier to do allot of damage with the AKM. Its vary clear. Skill, try the mosin out with LRS. Thats the hardest gun to master. I have to say its a challenge and has challenged me more then any gun in this game. For me anyways. In fact if you look at the history of the AK. It came out in the late 40s, and guess what gun the comi's wanted it to replace........The SKS. The reason it was better in every way. But its cool, hey I like the long horn. Thats probably one of the most impracticle guns in DayZ. I mean it really is kind of useless. But I like it. I'm just like you I go with what I like, not nec becuase its the best. And there's nothing wrong with selecting the SKS infact its a great rifle.

I disagree, there is no difference in skill required between the 2. You can do well placed shots with the AKM, infact even better. It is clearly supereor. There isn't one thing better about an SKS. AKM has better attachments, better rate of fire, the only thing the 2 rilfes are equal on is range. Now you want to talk about a rilfle that takes abit of skill, its the mosin with LRS. Its not easy. Thing fires really slow but has the some serous range IF you can learn to deal with sway, and figuring out your ranges. And at close range it can get your self killed if you don't make the vary 1st shot kill. Its really ify to use at close range, really slow rate of fire. But regardless, this debate was won before this thread even started. I mean come on really guys? Infact the only thing better about an SKS is the fact they are more common.

I will start off by saying I like the SKS. Before the AKM came along, and other rifles. There was SKS, Mosin and M4, were really the main combat weapons. I found the SKS to be a nice all around meduim range gun with the PU. It of cource can only carry 10 shot. When they brought the AKM in. With its masive 70 round drum, and 30 mags. Fully automatic, with custom parts. And the really nice pso scope. My god the choice is clear. Infact the AKM is just devastating. Its probably the best rifle in the game, unless your shooting for long range. So I think the choice is clear.

There has been zero effect on my game play. I have not over heated once, and had no issues what so ever. But I started in this new patch with an avatar who has 3 water canteens, was prepared un knowingly for these new changes. So its really not been a problem at all. I normally lurk in the woods, and I'm used to using ponds as a water source. Yesterday I refiled one of my canteens using rain as well. Remember that is always option. The reason I carry 2 or 3 water bottles is to keep hydrated and be able to move long distances in one shot. Also in pvp, its really imporatant to have those 3 green bars. Im not imune though. Now the cold weather in last patch, effected my game play much more. I would not say it completly dicked me over, it did cause me to have some set backs. I could see how it would be hard for a new spawn or someone who is used to using wells. I dont relly on wells that much. But even with that there is so much more loot with this patch its still easier to be a new spawn then last I would think. I think the wells should be random if they work or not. But not shut down all together. Not all public services work in a apoc ya know.
