God dam this forum is weird sometimes....between todays rape thread, now this mouth to mouth 1st aid...be heading threads..people kidnaping and force feeding :o ...were are we going with this guys?...I lump this in with the eating people thing...I think its over the top, infact really over the top, but if they added it I will not complain...its realism....but god dam really!? Its kind of funny the dayz forums is sooo strict on what you can say insulting or offencive comments....But ingame some of the stuff goes on ohhhhh boy.... :o They gotta slap a mature rating on this game lol before some dumb ass kid ends up on the news, and there blaming dayz :D

Also something interesting I learned after long hours of playing is. Players that are not armed tend to be the only ones that are freindly, once they get the gun they are much much more likely to be hostile....It becomes a option, just knock you over and take your stuff. Its soo true. Its been a long time since I met a random "fully geared" player in game that I conversed with lol a long time.

I think we already had this last patch lol, there were loot glitch servers. What do you think people are going to do? There prob not going to be as aggressive while looting, but the end result will be the same. The "KOS" will remain. The reason why is there are so many people who play were there goal is to shoot other players. I don't think it would change. Infact I could see the turn over time from being geared to pvping (which some players dont even bother doing) being even quicker. So pvp prob would be even more wreckless then there already is. But yeah I really do not see how it would change peoples mindsets other then not worrying about getting geared up even more. But one thing I have noticed about players who play dayz (in game, not the forums so much) is for the majority of players there end game is combat. Its just the truth with this game. I think thats what the exp would show. Survival parts of the game is just something they have to do to keep there avatar alive... For me its the other way around, I play to surive 1st and pvp is just something I do when either someone is in my way or I am looking for trouble. But I never go into it with the idea Im prob going to die, I always thing I going to do what ever posible to stay alive and keep my team mates alive. Many players got it mixed up the way I look at it. But the idea that DayZ is a social game is somewhat wrong. Its really not that much. People you meet randomly are vary hard to trust. Basicly I find that 80 to 90% of players that I see on a server does not have my best interests in mind. Other then team speak DayZ SA as it stands is not really that social. If it is social its kind of a twisted version of it. I think this is interesting subject matter, but reality is its much more simple then most think and its really kind of worth worrying about while playing...Psychlogy that is.

Hmm....there has been a few times I woke back up. As crazy as this sounds, example, I was over at the miltary base in SW. I was attacked by another player, then managed to kill there avatar. Shortly after I went unconscious, I then started pressing bottons and I came back....no one else was arounds. I then began eating and drinking to recover from grey screen. I have no idea how I managed to come back, I also dont know if hitting the keys helped...but I came back. So I know for a fact there are cases were you can come back on your own. Your not 100% screwed. As far as recovery goes and effects after being knocked out, there is often time grey blurry screen....thats away the game tells you. Your avatar is barely hanging on to life.....you may want to stop and eat/drink til you get color back. But yeah the game is not 100% realistic. But my exp about being shot multiple times your chances are really bad, so your better of just respawning. I think I have been knocked out 2 times RL, one time it was deliberate.....there is no game really that can discribe it. I thought I was gone for hours even though it was just a split second. DayZ is def no were close realistic in many respects, I think some players like to think it is....not me, I been through too much in my life to know its really not....and maybe should not be.

You know, from the limited amount of time I spent on .51 stable I noticed right off there were a few issues with it. This dosn't surpise me, to see more glitches. It really good to show them here. Axes have the option to be painted, but cannot. Mosin rap is bugged, not even sure if it they just took it out. All the new coolest new features are so rare there almost not worth looking for. So from my end it almost seems like stuff is missing and or broken. The trucks really are maybe 1/2 to 2/3 done, regarding features and mechanics. Honestly I almost rather them just role it back....but we need progress. .51 seems like it could have used a bit more work maybe like a couple of weeks before it hit stable. I was reading the .52 notes on whats up coming, it looks like there maybe going to iron some of it out. The trucks will have more features, and hopefully they will fix some of the broken stuff. But I predict it will be many weeks before we see it hit stable. This is prime example of why we must remind our selves this is alpha. Me Im just not going to play this patch that much, I just wasn't feeling it this time. Hopfully they do not do a chr wipe and I will have my geared avatar waiting when .52 hits stable, and I will just pick it up from there. I also want to see the exp .52 so I may check it out. But .51 stable not the biggest fan of to be honest. Im almost in a "wait til next patch and see what it brings" kind of state mind. Dayz in its development so far has had good patches and bad patches. If theres a bad patch, I learned I much better off just waiting for the next patch then dealing with bugs that ruin the game play exp. I'm sure there will be a good one coming....there always is. But its all a work in progress and we must have patience...

Ok you already got enough people trolling you so I just tell you strait.......why are you rellying so heavily on persistants for right now anyways, I rarely use it. Recently I was thinking of testing it out....but nothing major lol Every one knows it does not work that well yet, and it really is only for temp storage...Yes every week and every patch it wipes clean. So why invest so much time dicking with it? Finding all that loot to store spending all that time seems like you setting you self up for disapiontment to me pal. I am a long term surivor and I pretty much have everything on my avatars back. If I cant find room I through something I dont need as much right on the fucking ground and leave it there for some other ass-hat to pick up. What do you need all that shit for anyways? Slim it down a bit and lower your expectations right now.....and if you really just cant stand it then for god sakes play dayz mod! serously you can do all that on there. I get it though....some of the patches theres not always changes we like....but its alpha. Mags for guns? Your not finding things? Try a none persist server.......god dam last month there was the loot glitch servers were stuff was coming out of the walls....like 200 items in one barack....so switch servers for pete sakes...of cource your not going to find anything were 100s of ass-hats have already looted dry....come on man. One of things I have been doing when a patch just comes out, I sort of slowly dip my feet back in the water.....so that way there isn't to many shitty surpises or bugs creep up on me....sometime I just wait to play a day or so right after it is put on stable and read what people are saying 1st. Sometimes there are some nasty bugs that come about right after patches..... And barbosa.........why does that name ring a bell?

You know I don't think it would be that big of a problem just playing in general, just use type chat and gestures. Becareful there are allot of unfreindly players that play. In a group setting like on team speak it may prove to be a challenge, but it would be do able I think.

Becuase mine will be next to railroad track with a bunch of empty rasputin laying about.....LOL naw just kidding. I think I may have been on your server before, and I am looking for persist server to a store a modest amount items, not even to loot on, and general game play as well. I really only just messed with persistants so far, not trusting wether it would work or not. I kind of want to test it out, see how it works now. I also want to try out some of the mechanics too. I would be ok with more random items, but only really basic civ items. No weapons. Like only 2 items. Honestly I always get rid of every thing I have with in a minute of spawning in. I toss the flash light and bat, and tear my tee shirt into rags, every time. I'm really only a fresh spawn for 5 min max, I'll shed most of that usless garbage the minute I find something to replace it with. But yeah I know what your saying, jeans and a tee shirt....it has a really generic feel to it right now. Maybe there should be abit more randomized apperences when you 1st spawn in. With that said I really don't want life to get easier for fresh spawns, infact I want there to be even more survival aspects in a realistic balanced manor though. But I also want to see a lot less generic feel to being a fresh spawn... And whats up with everyones avatars being all clean shaven and clean cut.....this a god dam zombie apoc LOL I wanna see epic beards and a dirty grimy look....NO not ironic hipster beards, Im talking full on hobo beards! Sure this would work. But theres really not that many clues in game. But whats really funny about the way it is now is there a mystery, which in some ways adds to the apoc feel. Its complete anarchy. You just don't know, your just thrusted into this world of survival and zombies. Its a game were you can almost get away with not having a story, becuase of this. You kind make your own story after you start off as a freshy. One idea would be to leave little clues, to something like your story. You never quite know what happened, but you get kind of an idea. Like news reports, or items. The one base that I always thought was kind of creepy, was is the base thats in the middle of the woods, NW of bolata, with the hospital and tech building. It looks like a place were some really wierd shit went one lol Why are those building there, could that have been were it all started? Anyhow its a fun topic. One of things I really enjoyed about fallout 3, was as you progressed through the game you would kind of peiced together the story of what happened......this sounds really dumb. But that is the only game that gave ever nightmares, one of the only games I ever played that game me the chills. LOL Not dayz I enjoy for different reasons....fallout 3....The story and the game to me was a pretty nightmarish world when I really thought about.....man that would suck.....oh man lol That still is one of my to 5 favarote games of all time. It really is facinating though, in a weird morbid way.

The reality is more players are shot by AKMs and M4s then mosins with LRS. Its just a fact. Most of the "KOS" that is always brought up on forums happen with rifles like that. Wanna talk about a one sided shoot out lol I really think this going to be one of those threads that is completely derailed. No offence but I think theres some people posting here who have a complete mis-understanding of what overwatch is, or why a player would want to be armed with a mosin and the pros of having a mosin are to group pvp doing over watch for your team mates and solo....or even hunting or just killing zombies. Its also great for scouting use too. No its not all about camping loot areas, and shooting players for no reason. People love dissing players play style's. Also the mosin also has some serous dis advantages too anyways like close end fighting. The sway is really a issue to over come firing long range 2. Also the damage it does on clothing items was nerfed, so it sometimes takes a few shots to take a player out. Back say maybe 5 months ago the mosin was kind of OPed. But not so much anymore. Now theres some issues to contend with, that not everyone has the patience for. So its not like people armed with them are all the sudden KOS gods or something LOL not even the case. Oh well its ok, oh well the person who started this thread will just have to visit dayz tv and find out the info about up coming long guns.........that is what this thread was about.......remember? :huh: Maybe the lesson here is don't use the word "sniper" say overwatch instead, it prob hits peoples nerves the wrong way, they may have had a game session or 2 ruined at some point by a "sniper"...or KOS in general. Any mention of anything related to "KOS" or Pro banditry talk will set off a fire storm here on the forums. Let me ask you, did you film it? How did you know it was a hacker? If you really are dieing from hackers everyday, lol you should filming it. Report them. I have my doupts though lol Out of serveral hundered hours of game play on light, med and high servers. And really only 2 times a saw someone I was certain was a hacker. The whole crying hacker thing is really out of control with this game to the point now, they have to search cpus for "hacks". Not saying there not out there, Im saying its a vary overblown issue. There are legit cases, but most of the time its people crying wolf, or using it as an excuse. So I say film it if you see it, report it. And now that there searching our systems, hackers will be no more. Now people need something new to blame there short comings on........ghillie suited snipers......OMG the horror!........... <_<

For me I almost never die from snipers....ever. I'm much more conserned with some 12 year old with an AKM, then a person with a mosin. Infact every person I ever shot at long range were out in the open or on top of buildings. Sitting ducks really. If your serously having issues with snipers, I got a real peice advice. Stop running out in the open and when you do zig zag...if you do that a guy with a mosin prob will not even bother shooting at you. If you think your safe on top of a building your wrong. Always check treelines, hills and apartment building windows and roughtops. Get smart instead of demanding nerfs, stop blaming your failures on a other player play styles. Check your self. It seems now the hackers are gone (WHICH IN REALITY WERE REALLY RARE) people need something new to blame there deaths and failures on...."snipers" LOL This is so clear as day to me :lol: This is the second thread in the past 2 days that had anti mosin talk, anti ghillie talk LOL People are really getting nervous lol Its really dumb guys, just cut it out. Infact the poor guy that started this thread just wanted his questions ansered, instead of giving him that, you all started in with this anti scope, anti sniper BS....Why not just anser his question, he's probably new and really wanted to know. LOL you know honestly I don't even think Dead Hall knows the anser to this one. I remember a few years ago, I visited the armaholic mod site, and zombies started showing up that you could down load. I thought, "WTF is this, amra is a military sim, not a zombie game". A few monthes later there was a super mod, "DayZ MOD" and there is a ton of super mods for arma. For some reason it became really popular fast, compared to the other mods. Even more popular then Arma it self infact. So popular they made a standalone. So its almost a accidental sucess story LOL So I would not be supirsed if they simply never thought of a serous story line lol

It pretty much is the same as hunting animals in game, you walk up to the body, do the skining and stakes appear. I does not show the process of skining don't worry. Me I think its kind over the top eating people in game. I think it maybe time to give this game a mature rating, before some dumb ass kid ends up on the news and they blame dayz.

Oh I think its prob happened already maybe. Yes it would be a great tool in many respects. But like we said it prob will be just some people that will do it, at least at 1st. Well a ghillie suit also be used by the solo players as well, it could keep you hidden were before you could have been ganged up on, which is vary positive....Its not just something that will be used by the ass hole players...sometimes I think the ass hole players prob would be the ones not to have the patience to make one :lol: I'm kind of glad this has been added....As much as I don't like to admit, I have been in those situations were more then one players attempted to gang up on me more then one time playing solo. Its a shitty feeling having that happen if you end up they get the better of you. Another thing I excited about is there adding other stealth mechanics like being able to hide from zombies, and sneak up on them. There limiting there vis, and making them so they will not be just agroed by you walking 100 feet from them. I heard about some other stealth mechanics there adding as well.

Well to be honest as far as players that use the mosin goes, generally its prefered to shoot at 500 meters or more, doing over watch anyways. So your barely visible anyways. Ghillie suit would really just seal the deal even more. Most of the time I have been shoot at or discovered has been when I'm running around, or looking for loot. Not when Im up on hill scaning anyways. Thats with out the ghillie suit too. You know what group of players I would be concerned of even more with the ghillie suit is fucking bandits. Is the guys with m4s or akms abushing people. Man oh man....you could just have a couple budys laying along side a road.......bang bang bang bang....they would even know what hit em. But even that would not really serve a purpose...other then just being dicks, it really would not change things more then they already are in regards to banditry We will see. I can see players probably doing it, but I think when .51 hits stable.....But I really think players are more excited about the truck LOL I predict not everyone will go for the full suit, and it prob will not be that big of a deal, there already is plenty of ways to hide from players anyways right? I will just be one more way. And players will have to give up there back pack to take full adavantage of it...So they will have to lose something....atleast temp.

I can tell some folks are getting a little nervous about the ghillie suits, talking about nerfs already hasn't even hit stable yet. There will not be as nearly as many hackers .51 (not that there was that many to begin with), so now people will blame there deaths ghillie suited players and demand nerfs....please dont tell me this is were its heading forums... <_< The reality is I think most player prefer having a back pack, so probably will not want to have the full suit anyways. It prob will not be as bad as some think. Just a lil more camo. My prefered play style is a scout/sniper, and honestly I have been waiting for this a long time. But I prob will not go with the full suit most of the time. Just head peice and rifle rap...I like having a back pack to much. I think theres many players who will not be so willing to give up a back pack to have the full suit.
