Lower your volume. I simply do not like the idea of dead silent old 50s era soviet stealth trucks. Creeping up on players and running there asses over... Gosh this was an easy one.

Like I said I respect you guys ideas....its really a matter of understanding, and just knowing there is person on the other end...per say. Really in game I go in of course knowing at anytime I could meet another player, and much of the time it can lead to shooting. I have certain amount of respect for them regardless of what I do or what happens due to this...seeing its just a game. On the flip side people should def know what there getting into. I will treat the decently regardless, this is coming from someone who shoots 1st ask questions later in game at times. I just hope most are the same. I think watching what I saw made me realise that even more. Regardless this thread to me 1st off is a nice break in solo game play...also its a subject matter that maybe should be discussed. Its kind of uncharted waters were in if you will.

I love how everyone is using the term ass-hat or asshattery here on the forums. Its gaining a footing here on the forums and the term will soon be a main stream term, used by everyone throughout the globe. :o :thumbsup: The real def is of asshat: He who is dumb, blindly follows or makes mistakes and is douch canoe. Thats exactly why I brought this up in the 1st place. Regardless though, this is the game developers problem, battle eye's and dayz tvs problem. All I did was brought up red flags I saw and also heard about from other players. I have zero control over it one way or the other, other making sure checking my own self.

Me I would prefer young kids did not play dayz at all...period. There a huge liabilty, big time. This game has an adult subject matter, that is a masive multi player. Which players interact with each other. The way dayz is now is much of the random interactions are negative, and in some cases over the top ubscene. I presonally can handle my self in dayz...I will kos any player I see acting doing really bazare bad behavor stuff and good luck taking me hostage. They will get a trip back to the coast. But what about some kid whos like 12 or something whos new to this game and has no idea, starts playing it and god forbid they encounter someone like that streamer I saw.....Thats really just bad. I understand were everyone is coming from here and respect everone ideas. Its cool. Really its more DayZ SAs problem then ours, all we can do is check our own behavor to an extent. I am sorry but some red flags went off after I watch that streamer, that have not gone off since I have been playing. Worst behavor I have ever seen to be honest in this game and believe I have seen the KOS and the other stuff.

Kids can play with parents concent. But the reality is, many kids are really impressionable. Some of them have a really warped outlook on the world, and really shouldn't have even be more warped. Me as an adult, I would prefer they didn't play at all, there a liabilty. Now when i brought this up, I wasn't talking about KOS, banditry or what ever...The preson I saw was had really bad behavor. Im pretty sure any server admin would prob kicked him off if they knew, any forum moderator prob would have insta banned if they brought to the forums. To be honest I would rather have hackers, and pure kosers then play on the server with me, then a this guy who was really down right bazare and disturbed. Thats how bad it was. But to be honest its not really my problem, its dayz sa problem or will be theres. If they want to let it go on, fine. But if someone really does act out becuase of it, then there going to have a big problem to deal with.

Oh I already tone out allot of the TS asshatery, Im ahead of you there.....There nothing wrong with joking around, busting chops either. What I'm talking about goes far beyond that. I have been looking at ARMA 3 and have been holding off because I have a ton of stuff on arma 2 mods ect. But I like what I have been seeing with some of the mods they have on there, looks like allot of fun. I might buy it soon and play that instead. I'm kind of getting really tired of the SA, kind of have a sour taste in my mouth lately. It almost starting to seem like I might be better off just taking a back seat and watching how the development goes over the next year.

You think it ok for a 12 to 17 year kid to be exposed to that? Are you aware there are a ton of kids that play this game?

For the most part since I have been playing that has been an un-spoken rule. Military bases are KOS areas...well anywhere really but bases more so. Infact only one time since I have been playing I have had a freindly encounter at a base. I think the OPs main complaint was is someone pretended to be freindly then shot him in the back. What made it even worse is he was in a clan, and it was people from a different clan who shot him......Thats sounds like a clan beef now.

Heres one of the problems with Dayz SA. This game has a ton of players that are under the age of 18. I know this from playing in a few different groups now. The type of behavor I saw on the stream I watched, which by the way had no age restriction was down right ubscene and distrubing. Really bad and really weird. This guy went from having simulated pretend gay sex with on of his team mates, to then shooting some player they lured into his group then eating him, then sexualy harassing a female in his group. The way he was talking too and the things he was talking about was really bazare and just bad. Really bad behavor. This type of stuff will get dayz a bad rap really quick. This not the 1st time I have seen this sort of bazare stuff go on. Nothing a kid should exposed too. I noticed that the whole eating people add to the game seemed to have brought out some weirdos and mentally disturbed people. What it says to these people is hey this type of bad behavor is welcome here and you can talk to and treat other players how ever you want. I noticed its happening way more often then when I 1st started playing. Recently there has been a real uptick. Dont get me wrong joking around is fine, busting chops and the like. But this really bazare weird behavor crap.....I don't like it. I have really thick skin when it comes to this game too, I can deal with KOSers, I can deal with turn coats, "bandits" and the like...its what this game is. But that weird bazare behavor I dont want any part off. I am almost 100% sure, if that sort of thing happened to someone who was some how tramatised by it..or some young kid acts out it out for real.....there will be some pretty serous legal problems and posibly problems with the press as well. Also yes think for the most part I aggree, that most streamers and players dont behave that way. But lately there def has been more. I have been serously considering just not playing dayz SA, and maybe buying arma 3 and playing that instead for a while. Theres so many bugs, I kind of dont like .51 and to be honest. With the behavor type of behavor which I have seen and heard more then once I think is discusting and alarming. Makes me not even want to play.

Kind of amazed me the reply rocket gave to the OP, nope dont buy it. Just wait. Not even close to being worth playing yet. Of cource that was a while ago...But still really only a month or so after he posted that I started playing this game. Thats worse then what I would say by far and I can be pretty cridical about dayz sometimes....but kind of in a loving way lol But really unless your a arma ofp, die hard, and the unforgiving combat those games gave. Along with the harsh survival, perma death, and servers filled with dick heads just waiting for the chance to screw you over in many different forms....this might not be the game for you........not to mention all the bugs and growing pains you will go through with this early release. I would advise only playing if it is something that really interests you.

I understand what your saying and why you or anyone really would think its bad. It is bad behavor to backstab players. But there is no incentive for players to be nice or follow any rules, when you add in basicly kids too this stew of a game. Your going to have that type of shit going on all the time. People KOS all the time, people set each other up, torture each other ect ect in this game. The way this game is now its really is set up for people to do what ever the hell they want to each other. Every patch it gets alittle worse too, now they have eating people, even more reason for people to KOS. I go into it knowing that, and as hard is it is for me to say this, I go into it expecting that it is a really dangerous and random players are mis-leading and not to be trusted. They will dick with you. Its really bad in this game if you let your self be a victom it really is. There more bad behavor in game this game then any other video game I have ever seen. You can be the best player and know everthing about Dayz SA, you also have to know the people who play this game...Random players in game are just not worth taking your chances with...unless you just don't care wether your avatar lives or not. I am quick to open fire on players I dont know, really quick. Screw making contact.......See that now I'm part of the problem. See how KOS starts...its the truth. Even the best players turn into KOSers. Theres no trust with anyone. A trend I have been noticing lately that worrys me a little about were this game is heading, and the people who play it. Yesterday I was decided to to watch a some streamers.......My god...One of them was doing just that he was setting players up to eat them. He was talking about rape, weird gay stuff and was basicly a KOSer....just weird and kind of disturbing the way he was talking. I watched him for a while and thought..WOW.. this is getting out of hand...Way out of hand....simulated murder, rape(it may not have it built in the game) it def poping up, eating people...man oh man. People like that are the reason why I do not trust anyone in game....no random person..I sometimes question wether I should even play it anymore, with this weird sick twisted weird shit going on. Only team mates on TS I trust really. The reality is there are a few that take it way to far...I think the devs might wanna take a hard look at what they have created, and what kind of effect it has on a young mind. Im not kiding.......It seems def happening more then it was before. Infact when I 1st started playing I never really saw that much weird twisted stuff going on. Now its kind of rampid, and its just more bad behavor to add to the list. That bazare shit, is what makes me not wanna play...more then KOSers, back stabers, and the like by far. I can deal with them, but that weird shit......isn't there going to be legal issues with that? Its discusting. So like you I have a line that I have drawn....I really am not sure I am willing to deal with bazare behavor like that. Even if it is just a game. I was almost tempted to report it. I am going to say this as nicely as posible, but reading what you said I am surprised you have been playing 1600 hours. Have you not learned yet you cannot trust random strangers ingame? Have you not learned that this game really has no ethics built into the mechanics and most players dont have any? Lets be honest here. Theres no rules saying anyone at any time have to cut you any slack.....ever. I learned these things my first week playing this game....its filled to the brim with complete dick head players. Sure there are a few that are nice, but must random players do not have your best intentions in mind. You know something, I don't get the hole hero or bandit play style. Its dumb, its spill of terms from the mod and this is not the mod, there is no mechanic built in for ethics or rules. So WTF you think players are going to do when there avarage age is like 16 to maybe 20 or something and there males. There going to dick with people in game thats what there going to do. There not fully mature and if they dont have clear rules set in front of them, there not going to follow them becuase there are none. Its a perfect storm for ass hatery and just really bad behavor in a video game. Plus its a GAME which makes being a dick to someone even easier, not like there really hurting anyone. Dont expect people to not be dicks. Man I dont even use voice prox anymore unless someone hails me 1st. Radio silence. I know how players are that play this game, most of them pvp is there end game. There end game is to shoot someone or dick with people. Even "hero" players are like that....there sometimes even worse. They can demonize people, "oh well he's a bandit so I am going to shoot him" not even really knowing. You really need to justify that LOL sounds like a waste of time. God some of the bigest KOSers I have seen in this game were "Hero" play style lol. They feel there the judge and jury. Your either a bullit spung doing that play style or a complete hypocrite. It really is the truth. I know that will make some mad but it really is the truth in the stand alone...it just is. You know I tip my hat to the concept, but until there is somekind of accountablity players actions in this game, theres really no point. Currently there is none. Know your role LOL maybe you should know yours...Look I am sure your a nice guy, but you serously need to understand the stand alone and the players who play it....This is not the mod, there is no incentive to be nice to people in game currently.

Every thing cool...... Well I was a bit more turned off they took a few features away. Like the mosin rap, and painting axes as minor of bitch as that sounds. It is really a minor complaint, but I feel its a camo nerf. As of late I have had no other issues with .51 stable. My game has not been crashing, and have not seen any more bad bugs that I saw on release of this new patch. As far as the ghillie suit goes, well I would def like it better if the netting was not as rare. I looked around for it and still have not found a single piece. That kind of lame, but I think I know the answer. The best time to look is prob wens.....ops maybe I should have kept my mouth shut. More of the persist servers may have them. It really is just a theory. The reason they made them rare is well if example your a good player, that understands cover and concealment you could easily make your self invisible and cause allot of damage...The result would be a massive amount of QQ on the forums, which the devs prob don't want to hear lol. Thats what the devs think anyways. The cold reality is your average player that plays dayz, has no idea how to use that item to full effect. Infact I was watching some steamers earlier that were running around with G suits in the middle of electro pretty just wearing it just to wear it. When I watch streamers I think no wonder I live so long...it gives me a confidence boost, and makes me personally realise I got nothing to worry about. Not kdding. I have also seen player recently with G suits just running around not bothering to use them for what there meant for its just the truth. Most players prob will not waste any time crafting one even if it was less rare. But cool items though......I have learned for my self, really dayz is not for the most part an easter egg hunt. There really is no "god" items if you play fairly. Infact you can get by really with a basic kit, and survive quite a long time. Infact some of the best items like to protect your avatar from direct hits, are not that hard to find so long your willing to brave the military bases. Stuff like the G helmet with visor, the high cap vest, ak style rifles, scopes, mosins and the like. To me the high cap vse and G helmet with visor is two of the best items you can get in this game for protection. Now m4 and augs? Those are rare. Same with the smersh vest....but really? I used the M4 many of time when it was not so rare...its good....but def not god like. Its not something I going to waste hours looking for...no way. If your not a good player it sure as fuck is not going to make you better having some of those items. By the way I saw the videos about the new aug.....its not really worth wasting your time looking for, I mean if you run into one or manage to kill another player who has one.....good. But to spend hours looking for....just not worth it. Having a good kit is nice, but its worth nothing if you don't know how to use it. So long story short, you will do much better in the game with with a good understanding of tactics and game mechanics, then just having a good kit. As far as the trucks go....well I can give 2 shits really. People have been dieing in them on server restarts, bugs and everything else. I wouldn't ride in one if you paid me....unless I was a fresh spawn...or really could care less if my avatar dies.

In the .49 stable patch. the game was pretty much right at freezing temp. The loot count was lower then normal. It was also the first time they had "weather effects" in a patch. It also was kind of bugged so you avatar core temp basicly would keep dropping no mater what you did, which forced to have to lite fires, This was a perfect to force players to consider starting fires, and also consider hunting as a food source due to the lower then normal loot count. I hunted and cooked almost every time I logged in. When I play dayz I only LOOK for pvp when I am prepared. Meaning 3 green bars, food, fluids, 1st aid, reasonable gear and of course weapons. I find the likely hood of me surviving goes up quite abit, when I am careful and thoughtful then just rush into it ill prepared. I have a certain way I play, that improves my odds. Does and don'ts...But in .49, I think it changed the way I play. I became well more utilitarian, when it came to gear...a what ever works mind set. I became much less picky. That never went away. I found for me to pvp at the standard were I was well prepared each time in .49 took more work...which was fun. I almost had a play cycle, were I would hunt, stock pile some meat and water. Dry out and stay warm...then meet up with a group or solo pvp. There is nothing worse then being ill prepared and causing the whole group to have to slow down and help you out...that not going to be me....I think I think about stuff like that more because I play solo allot too. I had to to do it to keep my avatar alive. Since when .50 and .51 the temps were warmer and the loot count was higher....at least it sure as hell seemed that way...So now there isn't as much of need to cook, lite fires and the like. Its more of a option with these 2 new stable patches....something you can do for fun if you like, not really because you have too. Pretty much as long as you near a town you will not starve.

I am a big fan of the post apoc genre. Movies and TV the Walking Dead, The Road and Mad Max.. I loved Fall out 3.....just loved it.... With that said, I want to see dayz dive deeper into that genre, if that make any since. More gritty, I want our avatars to look dirty, not clean cut. I want the citys and towns to look abit more run down.....not too much.....Like over grown....like a real dump. I want the roads to look like they havn't traveled on, maybe a traffic jam...of dead cars. I think DayZ SA still feels alittle bit like ARMA 2 still. Its needs set it self apart more. End game.......well its too survive. But of cource I want to see base building, air craft, boats.....maybe a few islands....more options. A little bit more of a story like of what happened.

Hey Guys! Serously..........loot count varys from server to server...If your really trying to gear up, and the server your on just does not have a thing....log into one that is not persistant. Dont just stay on it. Simple. There are servers, that have nothing what so ever, then there are some that have too much stuff (loot glitch servers) ASOME. And enjoy that shit while it lasts, and dont whine about it! Becuase more then likely that some sort of bug and they will fix it sometime down the road....if you bitch about it too much, they just make things hard to find every where....so close you cake holes about it! Not even worth fighting about......theres more pressing matters to bitch about!
