+1 ColdAvoral Pointless to have speed loaders and or clips for what they are intended for I.E. having to reload manually reload from inventory. Also alcohol tinctures can repair ruined rags to pristine.

I have heard they are not spawning on stable branch servers, Though I've not been playing much lately to confirm this for myself.

So can you arm grenades without putting them in your hands?

Anyone want to trade me my m4 for an AKM on hardcore? I don't play hardcore all that much so I just want to test out the AKM out for myself. My m4 is equipped with a red dot site and a suppressor, I'm pretty sure I don't have the magpul hand guard though. I also have three 60 round mags and some extra .556 ammo in my ammo box. An AKM with all the fixins would be nice. I also have an FNX with a few mags and extra ammo. My character is at tent city on the Balota air strip. Pm me for arrangements, Again this on my HARDCORE character.

And honestly I don"t know how I should feel about this. I picked it up in the barracks of the military base SE of the NWAF where I was headed next. I had an SKS on me with some ammo but I thought carry it for a little while just for the hell of it. After I make my way to the tents of NWAF and I happen to find a handguard and a scope for the AKM within the first 3 tents I search. After checking out most of the other tents I run into some dude telling me he's not looking for any trouble. Luckily he didn't shoot as I heard his voice before I seen where he was. I told him I was cool and backed off a little bit, Once he got comfortable he asked me if i knew if the AKM was added with the patch. I told him I actually have one on my back and asked if he wanted it. He of course said yes and asked what he could give in return. I asked for some SKS ammo and he gave two full stripper clips and a box. As soon as he picked up the rifle ( or is it a carbine?) he was gone. I thought to myself "you're welcome". The whole interaction was rather quick, less than a minute. I gave this gun pretty much on impulse. I've read that mags and the other attachments are pretty hard to find so I thought It wasn't worth carrying it around as I was already pretty armed. So what do you guy's think? Am I pretty stupid or what?

Wow I must be lucky then. I have the same problem but it's not as pronounced as others have stated. It was rally bad when first started the game after the patch. I spotted a deer and took me like 10 seconds to get a shot lined up, that was after I had been running for 5 minutes straight. I don't if that has anything to do with it. But I find that the issue is reduced if you inject morphine, (splints work too I've heard) and be healthy. It helps if you have bound the key to hold your breath if you havn't already done that.

Damn that really sucks dude. Hopefully this hack will get taken care of pretty soon. I've heard it hasn't been around too long though.

So after a month break or so I decided to get back on just for the hell of it. Suprised that I still have my saved character and all my gear after so long. Before then zombies were a push over with a fire axe, I could wipe out two or three of them with just one hit each. Now you have to equip the axe and THEN press enter to get it ready to swing. I decided to go 1 on 1 with a zombie and the fucker took like 4 hits with fire axe before he went down. That was with like 6 or 7 swings. Were the melee mechanics tweeked? or is the fire fire axe useless against zeds now? I would like to takeout zeds with an axe to conserve ammo and not give my position away. But for some reason the axe is not as effective as when I last played. Also is anyone having issues at the main menu when you try and log on a server. The day before yesterday I booted up dayz then clicked change server then crashed. Booted up again then clicked play and crashed, so on and so forth. Yesterday was fine, I could boot the game and pick whatever server I wanted without a hitch. Today similar to the day before, But I could navigate the server menu and logged in succesfully but when I clicked on play the game crashes to desktop again. Does anyone else have this experience?

So I got a mosin, .357, ammo, plenty of food water, and other stuff. But no compass. Would like to get away from the coast and explore the inland of the map. But i'm a little reluctant to do so without one. I did it before and it was no fun, literally ran around for hours in game at one point only to find trees,trees and more trees. Never played the mod so I have no Idea where im going if im not on the coast. If I had a compass it would give me some idea of where to go. As of right now im around kamenka. So I ask where would be the best chance to find one since the last patch. thanks in advance.

Just curious how long you guys play each session. For me it's about a little less than an hour. I still can't find the patience it takes to fully take on dayz. Mostly because of fear and getting killed about the same time I find decent gear along with no friends to meet up with. How bout you? Discuss.

yeah whenever you go on a server check too see if its hardcore or normal. I made the same mistake more than once.

Hey all. Well so far I've figured out how most things work in dayz sa. One thing I don't get is in full screen the mouse movement is a little janky, I have to keep clicking to see where the mouse pointer is which is a huge pain in the ass when you're configuring the settings or in the inventory while in game. I have searched for a bit and found that playing in windowed mode is a way around this. So my questions are. Is the only fix for this or am I just that dumb? And are the devs planning on fixing this or not? Sorry if this has already been covered but like i said I searched a bit and this is all I could find. I have no beans at the moment. Will my shoes do?
